Its back up!

1% fees on trades, pretty nice.
The limits are up too, should be a nice stable trade.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll part with 100 BTC when they will buy me this. on: June 22, 2011, 06:10:39 PM
They need a "Donate Bitcoins" link on their site Smiley

That thing looks awesome!

Phoenix miners working, both GPUs.... must be GUIMiner. Gonna delete, then re-extract.

[edit] Fixed. had to create new openCL miners and re-extract. Seems some settings got jumbled up
4  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (1.8Thash/s) on: June 21, 2011, 09:08:12 PM
Just got back....

Yes I can ping. Yes ends in .32. Its still doing it... Noooo idea why. Tried updating GUI miner, still does it.
Im gonna see if phoenix miner does it to after im done a few things.

And I have only one machine running mining so far, its 2 GPUs on a single card: a 5970.

If I switch both to deepbit, it looks fine. Just cypress[0] does not want to connect to slush.

still running cypress[0] on deepbit and cypress[1] on slush - no problems w/ that.
5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (1.8Thash/s) on: June 21, 2011, 05:59:24 PM
Yes, Been mining w/ it for a while. Separate workers setup for each GPU.
Only stopped working last night/this morning.

[edit] then, after it stopped working... tried setting up 2 more workers and still, only cypress[1] would connect. Even tried cypress[0] on the older one that worked for [1] and it didn't work.
This doesn't make sense.
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (1.8Thash/s) on: June 21, 2011, 05:52:28 PM
this is strange, I can get only 1 of my 2 workers to... work with the pool.

a 5970 - 2 GPUs
Only Cypress[1] will connect, cypress[0] will not, even with new workers setup.

Still works on deepbit.... So for now, Im running cypress[0] on deepbit and cypress[1] on slush.

KeePass 2. I don't even know my passwords lol. If I lost my pass database I'm fucked. So guys, don't put everything in one basket like me.

That could be considered secure, if you password to get into it is complicated.
9  Other / Off-topic / Lets talk password management. on: June 20, 2011, 06:29:45 PM
Website databases seem to crack like eggs these days with many sites being cracked and information being stolen.
Mt.Gox obviously - but not just that lately gaming services websites have been getting cracked too: Codemasters, Bethesda, Epic Games, and of course Sony.

It seems, Databases can get cracked and there is no telling which ones are at risk. Even the companies w/ millions of revenues.

The problem is that in this kinda time - Accounts are freaking everywhere... and I dont know how to generate passwords for them all.
While my Mt.Gox password was unique, some of my other passwords are not. This is indeed bad - so I need to change it.

Trying to have unique passwords for all various accounts that I can remember has become to much. I cant do it anymore - I need software or services.

Soo... Lets hear it from the people who do use password managers - what do you do and how do you do it?

10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Video Card Price vs Performance vs Watts Excel Doc on: June 17, 2011, 07:15:32 PM
I like how the chart is setup however I see a couple problems

First... the 5970 w/ 800mhash?? You'd have to overclock a bit - or use flags That I dont know about because I have one and I get 600mhash at stock speeds w/ -v -w128. However - If there is a flag I should be running to get 800 mhash Id really like to know.

Secondly, the 6950s are a little fucked up, in a general sense. The older 6950s that were reference design could have their bios's flashed to unlock the shaders and perform as a 6970 does. This is technically buying a 6950 and turning it into a 6970. The new 6950s are not reference design - and only get 300 mhash because most of the cards cant unlock the extra shaders.

I'd also like to see the links to the specific cards, because there are many... are these manufacturer overclocked versions or what???

I believe these are DDOS attacks, Slush got hit too.

Site was DDoSed, pool is now rejecting all connections from unknown IPs. Please follow forum thread for more information.

Hes added a IP whitelist...
I wonder if deepbit will do the same?

[Edit] If it happens, I hope we can do it by C class - would be more convenient for dynamic IPs

Hah, No one w/ triple digits has tried it yet - probably because its so new.

I tried it w/ like 5 bit coins. Sold, and in the bank. It let me buy a new PSU for another rig.
I understand the skeptics, considering the scamming going on - still worth keeping an eye on.
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Any Canadian bitcoin buyers or sellers try Virtex Exchange yet? on: June 09, 2011, 04:27:32 PM
Yeah, was down for a bit last night.

I looked it up, 1and1 DOES do DDOS protection. .

At any rate, I got my payout email money transfer. He did take the 1.50 for the transfer but counts as a bank fee.
14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Any Canadian bitcoin buyers or sellers try Virtex Exchange yet? on: June 09, 2011, 03:30:39 AM

Any Canadian bitcoin buyers or sellers try Virtex Exchange yet?
https://www.cavirtex.com/home

Seems his site is very very new, domain registered June 3/11. Anyone try this one yet? I'd be nice to have a simple automated service comparable to Mt.Gox for Canadians....

If there's any other services like this, for Canada (other than Nanimao gold) lemme know.
