Well, what can I say. First, merry Xmas and a happy new year to you all. I have been involved with bitcoin for several months now. Made some good decisions on btc purchases, made some bad decisions regarding the purchase of mining hardware with btc instead of holding since I really really wanted to mine since I wanted to contribute to the network and trying to be independent.
From a financially point of view mining coins doesnt make sense (for me) and the difficulty was skyrocketing even more than I expected... so no ROI and I bought back my coins (im still mining now), did a wrong sell when the bad news from China came in and it crashed and bought back my coins (again) too early. Well you can guess how that worked out. Trying to trade and predict market swings is not for me since I guess I'm too emotionally unstable for that and it makes me making bad decisions when I should have done the opposite OR should have done nothing at all.

FYI, I am a noob trader with no trading and stock experience, in real life I'm an IT tech with a mild form of autism diagnosed which probably contributed to some of the bad decisions I made. Anyway, I lost about 30% of my stack with the same amount of fiat invested.

Since I have deciced to come to terms with myself I took that 30% loss since I have invested as much fiat as Im comfortable with. Just bought a few more coins with the leftover fiat I still had on bitstamp. Still have less than half of my savings invested but I decided enough is enough since a new gf is coming and my life is about to take a big change. Since 2014 looks very promising coming to terms and let it go is probably the wisest thing to do instead of waiting and getting more nervous while the prices are rising again.
Now I HOLD and I do not watch the goddamn exchange all day since that's driving me crazy and making me do things which turn out bad. Not looking for feel-good replies, looking for genuine opinions.
