1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New multipools on: September 07, 2014, 04:34:43 AM
How do you people feel about the following idea:

setting up a website to sell burst mining equipment (disks, controllers,...) on which you can only pay in burst

If I had the knowledge on the technical part I would consider doing it myself

I think it might be a good idea but only when you don't dump the coins straightaway
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | Update to 1.0.3 before block 6500 on: September 05, 2014, 03:35:14 PM
BTW additional and maybe kinda stupid question - what gonna happend when I stop run_generate file and miner ? Will it continue from where it stopped or I will have to repeat whole process from the start ? Ill need stop generating for an hour because of work and ofc I dont wanna lose all my progress.

When you restart make sure you start at a nonce higher than the one you were at when you killed the generation.
The first file that wasn't finished will keep giving you a error reading file message but will still be usable.
Don't restart the rungenerate with the same paramaters or you will loose all progress.

Please someone tell me if I am wrong. I am trying to help, but I just started looking at this yesterday Smiley

Hey guys so I just wanna know If im doing all right. My 6 tb hdd just generating something and its done 5000 from 20 800 000. I feel like im gonna wait 1 month before I can even start mine Cheesy . Isnt 5 TB plot a little bit much ? Should I make any little smaller ? And can I even start pool mining when I generate plots on solo miner?

You can mine while you'r generating plots  Smiley

But on tutorial its saying I have to generate plots on solo miner first and then move them in folder with pool miner Smiley . So how I am supposed to do this while its still generating ? Smiley

Or you can copy the pool miner Smiley

sure i did that and now it looks like a this :

http://postimg.org/image/9geh7276x/

is it all correct ? does i started mining now? Smiley

need to change 127.0.0.1 to the pool IP

Just copy two files will do right? The poolminer and bat file?

I copied all files and folders: except the plots folder and the run_generate bat file.
I am on uray's pool and I believe that there are differences in the source (lib should be ok) folder and the pocminer.jar

OK. I have a few questions...
First of all, I need to say that this coin is the first coin that I am mining in like 5 months.
When Asic killed my scrypt rig, I turned my back completely.
In those months a lot seems to have happened, so you'll have to excuse me if I ask stupid questions.

1. Is this the first coin based on disk capacity?
2. Is this something that is going to stay? (I don't mean this coin. I mean mining on disk capacity.)
3. Is it worth investing in more disk capacity?
4. If so, how do you guys solve the slow plotting? I am doing like 25-30Gb/h. I had 12TB free on a nas. To fill that it will take 3 weeks Sad Can I use multiple PCs to plot the files and use them in 1 miner after that? If yes, what do I need to pay attention to? Same address and different plot start-stop range? Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

I want to try mining this coin...but I think I better start in http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io/ without trying solo.
But I am required to have 1 BURST first...
Can anyone help me out?
BURST-MUK2-RG8T-343G-6BHSP

Can you please send me 1 coin - so i can register in a pool (i always receive {"errorCode":5,"errorDescription":"Unknown account"})?

BURST-CX83-PARX-LMF8-CHV9A

sent

Much thanks!
I registred, it gave me screen with hash sums.

Then i wait for 4 blocks, and then i need to generate plots after it with MY Account ID?

Thanks, got it running (with a small plot). Now I have to wait a few days for the big one Smiley

Everyone who mined at http://pcn.hashing.at please check your dashboard and let me know if anyone didn't receive their coins.

The payments are for all the blocks since launch, up to block 754 (including).

All the newer blocks were paid automatically by the system.

I don't shut down the pool anymore as everything works correctly at the moment.

I didn't get my coins back: gunitpnc

Well I've posted at least 5 times that there was a bug and I`m working to fix it ...

Before yelling SCAM SCAM you might want to check some pages back .... no ?

1. I didn't say anything about a scam
2. I am just asking if I am going to see my coins again. I noticed that the transaction ID's are starting from 1 again, so to me this is a more than fair question.
3. I am still mining on your pool.

Hashing.at:

WTF is going on?Huh

I had 20k confirmed PCN + there were like 50 uncalculated blocks for which I didn't get my share.

My balance got set to 0.

Now there are new unconfirmed coins but what about the coins I lost.

Am I going to get these back?

I've been mining this coin since day 1.
Price is at 1 satoshi, electricity cost is almost 2 satoshi for me.
Is it ever going to get anywhere or should I cut my losses and move on?

noob question:

What does PoS mean?  Huh

thanks

PoW: proof-of-work, mining, will stop after 6 weeks
PoS: proof-of-stake, minting, coins are generated without mining based on the amount that you have in your wallet (for at least 20 days in this case)
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEIT] ZEITCOIN -- 5 EXCHANGES POW/POS 11 Ghs Nethash on: March 07, 2014, 10:33:31 AM
Do we know when PoS will start?

When your coins have been in the wallet for 20 days or more... I believe.

Found it. Wasn't mentioned in the post here

Zeitcoin (ZEIT)

Zeitcoin is an innovative, secure and energy efficient PoW/PoS coin. It uses a faster PoW distribution mechanism to distribute the initial coins, then after 6 weeks the coin is basically transferred to a pure PoS coin, where the generation of the coin is mainly through the PoS interests.

Zeitcoin also adopt a variable PoS rate, which gives the highest payout at 25% the first year, then decrease 5% per year until the 4th year it reaches annual interest rate of 5%, then it will remain at this rate.

Because after 6 weeks it is basically a pure PoS coin, it does not need to be intensively mined, as the PoW payout will remain the minimum. Most coins will be generated through PoS, thus it is a coin that will save a lot of energy compared to other coins.

Zeitcoin will have a total of 99 billion coins. Initially each block will deliver 250000 to 1000000 coins randomly. The PoW payout will be halved each week (7 days). After 6 weeks, the PoW payout will be fixed at 1 coin per block.

PoS will start after at least 20 days of holding of the coins in the wallet. With PoS, the coin is more resilient to 51% attack.

Other Specifications: - 30 seconds block target - 250000 to 1000000 coins per block initially - PoW payout will be halved every week for the first 6 weeks - After 6 weeks, the PoW payout will be fixed at 1 coin per block - Difficulty retargets every block - PoS variable interests: - 1st year: 25% - 2nd year: 20% - 3rd year: 15% - 4th and subsequent years: 5% - Total coins will be 99 billions - 4 confirmations for transaction, thus fast 2 mins confirmation for transdactions - 50 confirmations for blocks - 1% premine for bounties, giveaways, development, support and maintenance, new feature developments etc.

We are in week 4 now?
So blocks will be halved once more next week and we have like 13 mining days left?
Is that correct?

Blocks halving in 3 days?
I would have guessed in like 12 days
Is it still at block 15k?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [OLY] OLYMPIC COIN - [LAUNCHED 07/02/14] - 1.3 GHS! on: February 22, 2014, 12:58:52 PM
My IP Address is 84.195.164.196
My Oly Address is 5feqmEcbJouGwXxh5gUk4P7UMvFsxTV3CD

And nobody is going to change either of those.

I know there are like 3 million coins premined.
No, I am not sure what is happening with these coins.

And no, I don't have 3 million OLY myself.
But be honest guys: every is in here to make a little money.

Even if the dev keeps the 1% premined coins all to himself (which I know isn't the case), it still seems fair.
He did all the work, and all I did was switch my miners.

At least we have an active dev who puts in an effort to make the coin succeed.

Feeling sour....go mine some lemons. (0% premined dev gone, coin dead...just the way you would like it)

Keep mining those medals!

When will Hashrapid (old) process manual payments?  I created one a couple of hours ago and it still hasn't gone through.

Thanks!

Now I can no longer access the site on which I made the manual payout request.  That's 650,000 Mintcoins I can't track at all...

Yea, I am done with rapidhash until I get my payout from the old server. I am out 160,000 coins atm.

Old server is fixed and payments are ready.

Please login and cash out old coins @ http://162.243.4.85/

How long it takes for payment? I made manual payment, but still no coins.
Username: amacar

Is this real? or scam website just to steal password?

Well, I lost 200-300k coins because of the blocks they didn't process.
I asked for a payout on the old server. And sure...no payout. That's another million mint lost - or should I say stolen.
