1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 10, 2018, 09:16:55 PM
I may have asked this previously but I cannot find my post anymore so wanted to ask again...

I have 6 2Pac  15Gh/s USB stickminers running off of a 10 port Sipolar Hub.

I have seen other users with 10 miners plugged in to this but I am not getting 6 x 15Gh/s, not even close. Currently I think I am getting around 45 Gh/s average.

When I had 4, the countdown to the 0.001 BTC payout was 11 months ish, but when I plugged the 5th & 6th in, it went up to 1 yr 4 months...

I don`t think I am being throttled in the upload amounts as my wife streams music a lot and she requires a fair amount of upload too (and hasn`t complained yet so I believe I am not using it all)...

Is the issue that they are all going through 1 USB3 port? Does it sound like I`m just maxing out the 5 GB/s transfer speed? I want to get more miners, but I woudl also like to know if I have to get more hubs and/or PCI-e USB 3 cards to get a better transfer amount through?

Any thoughts?

I had 10 miners on a Sipolar usb 3 hub, was hashing around 280Gh+ had them mining at 200mhz always had a few stop mining after a few hours.
I also tried 150Mhz and 100Mhz thinking it was to much for them but same problem.
I sold them all was fun for a while.
I also had the 7 port Plugable USB hub which I started out with then grew to much but had mixed the 10 port with the 7 at one time and was mining with no issues.

My thought I don't think the Sipolar can handle all ten without issues.

Well, the 6 that I have don`t stop too often, though 1 a week at least needs to be unplugged and plugged back in...

My issue really is that all 6 seem to average anywhere from 6G/s - 15 Gh/s locally, but the pool reporting just does not reflect this...

Old picture but this is still what I'm running. 10 Compacs on a single 10 port A-300 hub I believe it's a relabeled https://www.amazon.com/Sipolar-USB2-0-Bitcoin-Indicator-Powered/dp/B01K4LYX7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486327095&sr=8-1&keywords=sipolar+A-300

$5 Purex 120mm case fan using a home made dc barrel to molex adapter 12vdc wall wart powering a $5 evercool single fan controller.

RasberryPi3 is now updated with Pixel and I followed Jake36 post to install novak's cgminer-gekko-rev2.

What is your transfer throughput like? AQre all those 15 Gh/s miners? I am having issues with 6 not sending any more than 45 Gh/s on average through...

Entirely likely a noob question here but...

I have the siploar 10 port hub and 6 2Pac miners... When I had 4 in the hub, the time to payout (0.001 BTC) was 1 year, when I plugged the latest 2 in, it went up to 1 year 3 months!!!

The average usage ranges from 7GH/s - 16 GH/s on all 6, but it seem to not be helping in any way the output.

I also seemt o have no upload speeds now on the computer so wondering if I broke something or overloaded something?

Perfect, looks like an earlier upgrade than planned it is then.. Cheesy

Yeah, I was probably going to go with the 10 port hub a few on here seem to be using anyway... Looks like i`ll just have to make the switch sooner Cheesy

Ah, sorry, they are all 2PACs, just from differently named suppliers through Amazon (BitMiner Joe, ZLR Inc and I can`t find the 3rd for some reason).  It also seems that it isn`t consistent which one drops... If I remove  any of the sticks, to leave 2, then the 2 remaining return to around 10Gh/s... But they are all the same 2PAC usb stick... It`s just when I have all 3 in the hub that it happens... Plug the 3rd into another USB port, even a USB2 port, all is as it should be again...

Not sure, but I am new to the whole mining thing..

I checked last night and I am definitely plugged in to the USB 3 ports, but whenever I plug the 3rd mining stick into the Hub (also USB 3), I get 2 x xxGh/s and the third drops down to around 6Kh/s...

I don`t understand what I`m doing wrong with things...

Have a quick question as still relatively new to mining things...

I have this hub: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIADA26E73842

Which works fine with 2 of the GhekkoScience ASIC miners in it (2 x https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XBWK2W5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and 1 similar but from a different supplier on Amazon)...

But whenever I plug my 3rd miner into it, the 3rd one drops from 15Gh/s to around 20Mh/s... Am I doing something stupidly noob with things? The USB should be able to handle it shouldn`t it?

I aim to upgrade things eventually to the 10 port one mentioned in this thread a few times, but for now, 3 of the miners in this Hub should work shouldn`t they?

I have a small desk fan which is keeping the 2 in there now nice and cool so I really want to be able to plug the 3rd in in there also as currently I have to have it in one of the other PC USB ports in order to keep it running at 15Gh/s but this means I don`t have it close to a fan and so is going to overheat a lot...

Anybody know what I`m doing wrong or able to point out the probably obvious thing to everybody else thing I haven`t likely done to run all 3?

 *Edit*
I may be a complete muppet and have this plugged in to a USB2 port... I will need to wait until I get home to confirm but this would likely result in the above issue wouldn`t it with the lower transfer rates?
