Read this!

@A serious Analysis of Dogecoin — Or: Why I am all-in on dogecoin.
http://tuxedage.wordpress.com/

Greetings from a n00b to cryptocoin mining who has only a Mac laptop,
going at all of 15K hash per second, having mined 3000 Dogecoin so far ($6 at 5 for a penny!).
(Maybe if I had a Mac Pro that'd be x100.)

The phenomenon is great -- sort of reminds me of Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah band!

In real life I am a cat person, but I am not interested in anything crypto but Dogecoin.
Well maybe that and knowing when NP-hard systems like McEliece crypto (which avoids
quantum computer attacks) will start taking over...

Oh yeah, go Jamaican bobsled team!

sincerely,
    retiarius

2  Other / Beginners & Help / (Cylindrical Mac Pro) Seeking real-world hash rate for scrypt mining on: January 04, 2014, 06:37:05 PM
This would be for using MacOX 10.9, not Windows Bootcamp,
via Asteroid or otherwise.

I've searched the web for actual figures since machines are now out in the field,
but have found no answers, only estimates.   Please specify whether using
D300, D500, or D700 GPUs, though supposedly the latter are only available
in custom configs shipping in February.

Thanx!
