I didn't find any difference whether Crossfire was on or off either.

I don't think 2400W is enough for 6 290x's.

I had two 290xs running off a 860W and it was barely stable. A lot better now on a 1000W.

Anandtech has the 290x hitting 400W on Uber mode.

Try the older Catalyst 13s..  14.1 was causing trouble with my cgminer so I went back.
