i`ve chosen this coin to begin with, - bought 2 used ATI cards (7950 + 7870) having ~1.1mh together. I`m too slow for litecoin, so I`ll mine credits hoping for its price to increase in future ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Iv'e pretty much had a similar scenario, had a R9 290 since December but due to the rising difficulty of majority of coins, just one card isnt enough anymore (Poor student ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) ). I've like the look of this coin since i first layed eyes on it. Too many crap coins overshadow the ones with potential.

what happened to vcc.altexc.com pool? i lost like 20k velocitycoin there The guy shut down the pool and bailed with the coins. My 1 k coin loss on the pool is pretty measly compared to your loss ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) .

Actually starting to mine VEL again! With almost 2mhps I get around 4k VEL/day. Which is 0.05BTC! That's 42 USD/day. Awesome!
Normally I have 1.1mhps but 1.85 with scrypt-jane. Hope this will get alive again, it's not dead yet!
I don't suppose you could give an insight into your config? Im running a r9 290 which usually gets 880 kh/s with scrypt but im only getting 550 kh/s +/- with script-jane ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) .

Can http://vcc.altexc.com/index.php be removed from the pool list. The guy has clearly shut down the pool and ran off with peoples coins, i had 1 k on there ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) .

add Velocitycoin and QQcoin both scrypt-jane means asic resistant when the asics for scrypt will get released in few months. also almost instant transactions without any problem. market is there.

So I recently bought a new Gigabite Radeon R9 270 for around $230. With proper config, I reached 450 kH/s.
"setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
cgminer --scrypt -o xxx -u xxx -p xxx -I 19 -g 1 -w 512 --thread-concurrency 15232 --temp-target 63 --temp-cutoff 85 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-memdiff 0"
My question is, should I believe my cgminer or pool stats with kH/s?
Your cgminer will have a more accurate representation of what you are mining at. You would be able to obtain more kh's with intensity on 20 but you would have to change other settings to accommodate it so no HW errors occur.

Im at 880 kh/s with a R9 290, was quite an upgrade from a GTX 680 that i had before which only had around 220 ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
