2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptonaut - Track all your cryptos on: November 27, 2017, 09:55:01 AM
Hi,
We are working at the moment on Cryptonaut. Cryptonaut is an app that helps you to track all your cryptocurrencies.

Cryptonaut allows you to add any cryptocurrency or token available today like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash and more - and then track the value of your holdings in the currency of your choice or Bitcoin. And with aggregated data from around the web, rest assured you have the most accurate pricing for the coins you're watching.

In addition to tracking your portfolio's value over time, you can set price alerts for the coins you care about. Watch the price of coins in fiat currencies like USD or GBP, or in Bitcoin. If the price moves above or below one of your alerts, you'll receive a push notifications from Cryptonaut so you can trade accordingly.

Our goal is to create the most beautiful, easy-to-use app for managing your cryptocurrency portfolio. Please let us know what you think of Cryptonaut, it would be awesome if you can post your feedback. Thanks !

You can find more information on our website: http://www.cryptonaut.org

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cryptonaut.app
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cryptonaut-bitcoin-app/id1312756405

I like the look of the app, actually one of the best designs i've seen. But with this market being saturated with all these tracker apps you really need to come out with something that other apps haven't done yet in order to attract a stable customer base.

I would personally like to see support for investments outside of crypto.

e.g. fiats, precious metals, stocks, indexes, etc.

This would make this app a "one stop shop" for all tracking needs, not just cryptos. Please consider my suggestion.
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TheBitGoldMine is a SCAM !!! on: November 27, 2017, 09:42:29 AM
Also, the person in the picture is not "Founder Mike Finley", but Genesis Mining CEO Marco Streng.
See also https://cointelegraph.com/news/life-inside-a-bitcoin-mine-interview-with-genesis-minings-marco-streng

Holy fuckin shit, bud! I've never been highly critical of Genesis Mining, but given the above, I now no longer trust them.

How did you come to the conclusion that this scam is run by genesis mining?

Yes there is a picture of the CEO of genesis mining on their site but they could have literally used anyone's photo. Now i'm not saying genesis mining is a good investment or whatever, their plans are probably not going to make you any money as a investment. But this isn't reason to say that they aren't trustworthy with your money or whatever.

Site looks fake af, and so are their "team". Avoid.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: etherium blockchain wallet myst is taking 2 days to download the bchain on: November 27, 2017, 09:25:30 AM
I have been waiting for two days the synchronization of its blockchain never finishes. wtf is wrong with this?
Also after I download the latest stable version, whenever I start the myst, it asks there is a newer version to download.
wtf?

It's just how it works right now. Ethereum blockchain is pretty big and it took me around 3 imcomplete days of syncing in order to fully sync my ethereum wallet and get it started. Pretty tiresome process and involves a lot of waiting, i know.

If you're just looking for a quick way to get started, use MEW or Exodus.

Both lets you retain control over your own private keys without having to run a full node.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap bitcoin to alts on: November 27, 2017, 09:13:17 AM

Bitcoin rally  today is huge and it must end at some point.

Now I want to swap part of bitcoins into alts with only one goal  - to gain bitcoin value. What do you think? What alts will raise in bitcoin price in next days if bitcoin begin to fall in dollar value?

It has to end at some point, yes.

However it is unclear right now what effects that this eventual dump that will occur will have on alts. It could definitely lift altcoins up, basically the opposite effect that the bitcoin pump has done to altcoins yesterday and today, but it could also bring altcoins down with it.

Alts are indeed undervalued right now and whenever something is undervalued, eventually it will recover.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I research altcoins? on: November 27, 2017, 09:06:04 AM
Hi all,

Seeing as I have a lot of free time, I have decided to take on the mammoth task of researching the top 600 alt coins.

I will review their white papers, research their team and make comparisons between projects. I will write a 500+ word assessment for each project that I research. I currently do not have a job and so, can dedicated 100% of my time towards this. I will work down the list by market capitalisation starting with Bitcoin, then Ethereum etc.

Overall, the project should take me around 1 - 2 months.

Between every 100 projects I review, I will write a 1000+ word paper on comparing similar and competing projects.

I will also leave links to the documents as I go through so that other investors can benefit and read.

A little bit of background about me: I discovered Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies a few months ago. I have dropped out of school after making a (very) significant amount of money in the crypto-space. I can program in C++, Javascript, Python and Solidity.

I will begin today, and will have papers on Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash ready and released.

If you have any suggestions about coins that you would like researched, please feel free to leave a comment  Smiley
If this project gets enough attention, I will create a website and a proper presentation.

Very interesting project.

I would recommend giving each coin a rating as well, whether or not you feel like it adds any value to cryptocurrencies in general or is just another shitcoin that is drawn up to lure in investor funds. That way it's intuitive and easy for someone to decide which ones to invest in for the long term.

600 alts are definitely not an easy task to research. Wish you the best of luck.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: portfolio ethereum and ? on: November 27, 2017, 08:59:22 AM
Hello,

I bought ethereum since May and June 2017.Got in @120€ and 275€ and my capital has doubled since. I'm really long on ethereum but i was thinking about sell a little bit to diversify my portfolio because for now i'm all in ethereum or sell everything to buy the next dip but i am not sure it will worth it or switch to bitcoin.

What are your thoughts on that ?

My suggestion is definitely diversify your portfolio to take advantage of potential rises in coins other than Ethereum. Going all in for ethereum can pay off handsomely and i do think that it'll go to at least 0.08 btc again this year, but there will be dips along the way that you can buy in for less than you sold for.

For example you could sell 20% now, since ETH just had some pretty nice pumps, then buy in when ETH falls back to 0.06 BTC if you're really long with ETH.

Or as i said, you could diversify these funds into other potential alts.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next BTC Crash? When? on: November 27, 2017, 08:55:27 AM
I sold all of my BTC with 8200$, Now I want to join to the game again, What do you think about next crash time? I think it will be crash beforBTC hit 10k$.

Nobody knows for sure but it's definitely going to be on the other side of $10k for sure. You did sell a bit early and i think if you get into bitcoin right now you may be able to still jump on the train to $15k by the start of the next year even.

There will definitely be a crash at the end of it all, by how much i don't know.

Probably a smart thing to keep around half of your investment inside bitcoin and the other half in fiat in order to buy the crash.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone can tell me how to claim bitcoin diamond ? on: November 27, 2017, 08:51:26 AM
I have a little  BTC on my private wallet, Can you tell me how to claim Bitcoin Diamond? Huh Huh Huh

Since the snapshot has already been taken, you will just have to wait for ca way to officially claim your bitcoin diamond by sweeping your private key into a supported wallet. As far as i know there are no ways of doing it right now.

I am aware of a few exchanges that are distributing bitcoin diamond, however since the snapshot has already passed it's too late to put your BTC in there.

If it's just a small amount, you probably shouldn't even bother. The transaction fees of clearing your BTC address for security is going to be not worth it for the reward.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking for honest advices on: November 27, 2017, 08:42:43 AM
Good day people of bitcointalk,
You see, i am still very new in the crypto world. And really do not know a lot yet.

I am thinking of investing on pre-ICOs. Yes, i know ICOs are very risky. But it also can give great rewards. So all in all, i think it is a pretty great gamble.

That is why i am asking you guys, if i had $50-100 dollar range of investing fund. What is the best ICO that i should invest it in today?

Thanks and good day.

Do your own research. Don't let anyone else tell you what to invest in because they are probably biased and have vested interest in the project and thus, overly optimistic about a project that may not be as good as they make it sound.

There are several ICO tracker sites out there. You can definitely utilise them with your research.

With only $50-100 investing, my suggestion is to go a bit risky. Don't hesistate when you see an opportunity since it's such a small amount to lose.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Undervalued coins under 20M cap x10-x100 potential on: November 27, 2017, 08:37:23 AM
Name some coins that comply with all or majority of these:

- Have UNDER 20M MARKET CAP
- x100 to x10 potential
- Not ERC20 tokens
- Game changers/new protocols
- Active development

Some examples: PASC, XRB, SHIFT, BIS

I actually think that Omni is quite undervalued right now. Even counterparty which came later than omni is much higher in value than omni. It also shouldn't be ignored that tether is running smoothly on Omni right now as well.

With a 16 million market valuation, it's a steal in my opinion.

And plus, it's a pretty volatile coin meaning that it can blow up any day.
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Pending transaction on coinbase on: November 25, 2017, 12:33:00 AM
So if i understood correctly they haven't even broadcasted any transactions to your destination address onto the blockchain, right? The transaction is just pending and staying like that without any sort of TXID whatsoever.

If that is true then it's really common for coinbase, and it has a history of doing this. I've been effected by this multiple times although never as long as you have been waiting for.

Contact support as much as you can, hope they respond. But honestly their support is cancer.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE END? DID THE TRANSACTION JUST GO BACK TO YOUR COINBASE WALLET.......................................................

"Contact support as much as you can, hope they respond. But honestly their support is cancer."

AND THANKS FOR THE ADVISE - JUST JOINED TWITTER TO CATCH THEM THERE - PEOPLE SEEM TO BE GETTING A QUICKER RESPONSE ON THERE

Eventually the pending just had a txid that pointed to the actual transaction.

So they didn't refund my coinbase wallet but rather there was just a delay between the time when i initiated the transaction and when the transaction actually got sent by them. I didn't email support or anything either.

Twitter is a good idea, wish you the best of luck.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: November 24, 2017, 11:19:54 PM
I haven't managed to find a crypto portfolio tracker that works better than a spreadsheet I have. I'm curious what other folks use—would love to hear any tips about what is or isn't working for folks.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and make some improvements to my spreadsheet tool at www.cointracker.network for anyone to try (feedback welcome).

I use block folio. I'd say that it definitely works a lot better than a spreadsheet because it has so much more to offer such as profit tracking and everything is updated automatically from live exchange feeds instead of you having to do all the heavy lifting.

If you're comfortable with whatever you've got then no reason why you should switch to another.

I've also got alt pocket on my bookmarks, it's cool since you can share your portfolio and even link your portfolio to an exchange account.
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trustable Exchanges as of Nov. 2017 on: November 24, 2017, 11:15:53 PM
I feel like that Kraken has the least amount of complaints as of now.

Bittrex is always having issues with their withdrawals and account limits, and so is poloniex. I would not trust them with storing my crypto coins at least at this moment simply because of all the confusion going about basic accounts, enhanced verification, etc.

Canadianbitcoins, coincorner, etc. are all small exchanges. I have not used them personally.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would any of you guys buy Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Cash? on: November 24, 2017, 11:13:31 PM
i am thinking about buying some bitcoin gold tokens, there has been a nice pump recently, i think it will happen again, just waiting for the price to decrease a bit.

Don't buy just because you think price is going to go up especially if there have been recent pumps. Recent pumps only mean that the coin probably has some undeserved attention that will lead to a dump sooner or later.

I would personally never touch BTG or BCH, unless you are 100% certain that you're only going to be in it for the short term and you see some big news coming out.

Also, if you've got your BTG/BCH from the snapshot, that's fine too. But i wouldn't proactively go out and buy it.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash — currency of the future? on: November 24, 2017, 10:25:30 PM
I always believed that DASH is a great cryptocurrency. And the events of these days have shown I was not mistaken. Now, when this altcoin has shown such an awesome growth, do you believe that it can be a currency of the future?

If people actually care about anonymous transactions i think that they'll either go with ZCash or Monero instead of Dash. Dash has optional anonymity and that is one of their primary selling points alongside instant transactions.

I wouldn't call it the currency of the future because there's a lot of better coins out there in terms of anonymity or even transaction speed.

Also iif it was to be the currency of the future, it would have been in the top 3 already. It's been around long enough to do that.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new era of bitcoin forks will propel BTC to 100,000 on: November 24, 2017, 10:06:36 PM
Bitcoin silver, copper, aluminum, water, beans...bitcoin anything!

I don't get why bitcoin will rise only as a result of forks.

My opinion is that bitcoin will rise simply because people will get into bitcoin more and more and bitcoin's popularity as well as media coverage will soar as a result. nothing special here about forks or whatever. A lot of people actually dump fork coins as soon as they come out.

In my opinion, $100k per BTC is very likely to happen, but only if we give enough time. No way it's going to happen within this current decade, but maybe the next.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: 5 digits on: November 24, 2017, 10:01:31 PM
Seems that bitcointalk is turning bearish another time, like there are some psychological resistance when btc come near the 10- 100 -1000 -10000 -100000 usd milestones.

Fortunately, bitcoin is just an honey badger, he will eat this reptilian thinking without giving a fuck.

I claim 5 digits soon.

Yeah i think by the end of the year it'll be evident that all the people who trusted bitcoin to go to 5 digits or more will be rewarded greatly. Even if you don't believe in the concept of bitcoin, it's evident that markets are so just going to continue to soar above and beyond current heights without a doubt.

People have said before as well, BTC could hit something like $20k, even.

The limits are endless for long term BTC, and personally i'm going to definitely be a holder in the long term.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🎮 Bountie- Do You Have Game? 🎮 [PRE-ICO STARTS 11 DEC}🎮 on: November 24, 2017, 09:53:22 PM
The vlog button in the ICO isn't working but apparently all the other buttons are. I think perhaps aTriz forgot to add a hyperlink into that specific button or something. Anyways, please fix it asap since i think it'll be really interesting.

The presale's starting soon so anyone who's interested better register their interest Tongue

And i like the fact that there's always a guy here that is actively answering questions, a rarity these days.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin predicted to rise in the coming days? on: November 24, 2017, 09:48:29 PM
I am stuck with the idea of cashing out now or later. Should i wait a bit before cashing out?

I personally would always cash out half after a pump with half of my funds inside of bitcoin and half outside of bitcoin. This way i don't have to carry as much risk as i would have previously because of the fact that if there's a pump with bitcoin, i still benefit with half my funds, if there is a dump, i don't have to worry about losing the majority of my funds since i've already cashed out.

But as to the short term forecast, we're seeing the resistance dwindling at $8500 and once we break that, we could go to 5 digits.
