So I decide that I'm on wrong chain, I delete all related with WOWNERO, started to download blockchain from the beginning and again the same - Height: 53666/53666 (100.0%) on mainnet. Did it twice. Nothing helps. wow the f*ck is this ?  Update your daemon & wallet. You need to be running v0.3.x ... the network hard-forked at block 53666. Of course it's impossible to provide any such guarantee given that mining is a random process: for pure solo mining the network difficulty reflects only the average number of hashes you might have to perform. The actual number can be 2x, 3x, 4x or even more, making solo mining far too risky for most. The good news is that through leveraging the mining power of multiple miners, we can come pretty close to this ideal of awarding 1 full block's reward when number of hashes equals difficulty. Ethpool was the first pool to promote this concept, and it works quite well judging by its popularity: it contributes well over 2 TH/s of hashpower to the Ethereum network (see https://miningpoolstats.stream/ethereum). We've been experimenting with predictable solo mining for cryptonote coins like Loki, Monero and Wownero for some time now. In the process, we've identified room for improvement in Ethpool's PSOLO scheme, and have implemented an updated payment scheme we call PSOLO2. The main difference with PSOLO2 is a full block's reward always "costs" exactly the network difficulty value instead of the number of credits from the runner-up miner. This improves predictability of payouts and eliminates some of the known flaws in Ethpool's scheme. Interested in giving predictable solo mining a shot without a big investment of hashpower? This is Wownero; must be different and full WOW. So, we've just switched our Wownero pool over to the "predictable solo mining" payout scheme pioneered by Ethpool: https://cryptonote.social/wowIt's an interesting payout scheme that awards the round leader the entire block rewards, though at a far more predictable time interval than if you were to solo mine on your own. It's a bit like participating in a race against the other miners. Many entertainments! Plus since Wownero's network is still at a reasonably low difficulty, you don't even need crazy hardware to be able to score an entire block. Such rewards. |

What's the status on ASIC-proofing? Given Aeon/TRTL are the only coins I'm aware of on cn-lite/v1 it might be a good choice. Would love to add you to our list of pools ( https://cryptonote.social/) once the ASICs are gone. |

We just experienced a 23 block chain reorganization, a potential double spend attack on our network - everybody with buy orders on exchanges please pull out now until the exchanges respond with an audit of their databases!
Can you say a bit more about what's going on here? Someone implies this is coming from Nicehash -- is that true? I see on Twitter you recommend increasing tx confirmation to 60 blocks? Are we out of the woods yet? Thanks. |

Now mining one coin requires again orders of magnitude more electricity than during the short-lived ASIC rampage. Draw your own conclusion what this means for the market price of the coin.
It means network hashrate will drop until electricity required to mine a coin is about the same as before. Market forces, ya know. |

Does your pool have pool stats API? Ah you must be asking for your stats site: https://freeboard.io/board/c8mM2cIt does have a stats API but nothing standard. Let me know which methods your site requires and I'll add them right in. Looks like it only requests hashrate and # of miners at the moment? Thx. |
