1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITLATTICE] A Revolutionary Step - Bitlattice.org on: December 10, 2017, 05:23:56 AM
Hi all.

I have been following bitlattice since the beginning of the year. I'm really excited about this project and am looking forward to skimming over some of the documentation and for a chance to contribute to a crowdfunding round or ico.

Bitlattice is on my list of technologies or platforms that are a real progression away from bitcoin. They also include:

Radix
Iota
Raiblocks
simcoin (dead)
byteball
hashgraph

This coin is the most obscured attempt at doing ICO's I've ever seen. I've been following for years but have yet to come across a single point in time where the coins have been up for distribution. All I hear is garbage spat out by the skycoin dev(s), talk, talk and talk about ICOs and how fair their's is.

Great technology or not. The PR with this coin is horrendous.

Distribution was available for years previously.

Alledegly.

This ICO process is ridiculously confusing. Can somebody tell me how I can participate? I've been following skycoin for years and am really interested in what the team are doing.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 22, 2017, 11:46:33 AM
Bitcoin and Ethereum are legacy systems that will be remembered with the floppy disk.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 22, 2017, 04:05:54 AM
It looks like people have heard of it now. Does that make this topic redundant?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: June 20, 2017, 02:36:22 PM
Can someone give me some straight answers? I've been following skycoin for years but can't for the love of god figure out what is going on with distributions. I know there are ICO's but where are the details of them? How do I get involved? What is the price peg? Is there anypoint buying on an exchange after a pump since the ICO suppresses the price?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 14, 2017, 11:06:57 AM
Iota was trading otc at 0.18btc/gi pre exchange now it's trading @0.22btc/gi. Where's the dump you syndromes?

A great introduction to Iota. http://iotasupport.com/whatisiota.shtml

Preteens in the cryptoworld think that if price isn't at an all time high it's a dump. hahaha
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone truly understand IOTA? on: June 14, 2017, 10:55:24 AM
Permanode != Masternode
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 11, 2017, 01:05:33 AM
It makes sense. Nothing out there can even compete with iota.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 09, 2017, 09:32:53 AM
Question is do you want to invest in the NEXT billion dollar currency that does all that IOTA does ie XTraBYtes or just pay a billion dollars?

hmmm trickly question.

Lol. What is this nonsense?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 09, 2017, 06:41:44 AM
$Multi-billion coin soon.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 09, 2017, 05:58:09 AM
tezos

Lol. Another smart contract platform. 🤧🙃

I wish the ICO happened last month. Soo much interest in it now. The roi is diminishing daily.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The billion dollar cryptocurrency you have never heard of? on: June 09, 2017, 05:46:26 AM
I like iota but till it's functional and traded in exchanges for a month I am not touching it. Initial ico investors will we rushing to sell as soon as possible to cash out thier profits, best to avoid that potential massive dump initially.

I guess the 1.5 years of trading wasn't enough time to dump. I wonder what I've been buying this whole time. 😂😂

The less tech savvy can wait for the exchanges if they aren't in a rush to buy what has been deemed 'the bitcoin killer'.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 27, 2017, 02:56:05 PM
Can't check right now (firewall blocks slack) - but I think somewhere around 13BTC per Terra

Current Ti to BTC price is?

Thanks!

Is Iota on an exchange ? Or coinmarketcap?

It is only on Yassin-DEX provided within slack (slack.iotatoken.com -> channel #trading).

I believe it will be on famous exchanges soon (maybe it's last time you see such low prices), because the light-wallet is extremely easy to use and will be stable-released soon.

I guess coinmarketcap follows immediately after, as happens with other coins.

It's been sitting around 11btc per TIota. The units are denoted by uBtc (micro) and GIota on Yassin-DEX. So around 1100 uBtc per GIota. I agree that this could be the last time we see it at this price. It's very under the radar at the moment in the bigger picture.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 21, 2017, 09:44:08 AM
I don't think it will be launched any soon

Define "launched", please, because right now you look very uninformed.

He means the price launched to the moon.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 16, 2017, 12:46:37 AM
Is it already a place where I can get IOTA?

Yassin DEX: https://iotatangle.slack.com/messages/trading/

Works like this:

Give bitcoins or iotas to Yassin and he'll give you a balance.
Trade like on an exchange, with automatic order matching.
When you're done, write Yassin and he'll pay you out.

Make sure you read the rules in that channel.

Thanks, before I enter the slack could you tell me what is current rate? Thanks

This is cool. What is the market cap at current price.

Approximately 30k btc.

Finally we can swap our btcd.

It seems to be common for crypto projects to be delayed substantially past their estimated release date.

Article worth reading:  Kraken asks MBA schools to choose between BTC and ETH.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/kraken-gets-mba-students-to-choose-between-bitcoin-and-ether

This is a very interesting read.  I have said several times before, if I had to choose 1 cryptocurrency to put all my money into before going to live on an island for 10 years with no access to technology, which would it be?

Personally, I would choose Bitcoin and be confident that I would be very rich after 10 years of holding.  This mental exercise illustrates why Bitcoin will remain #1 crypto, because it is most trusted store of value and has a very powerful network effect.

However, if I was allowed to split between BTC/ETH like in this article, then I would trust leaving 25% in ETH for 10 years.

The team at Worchester who said they would do 100% ETH for 5 years must be holding.

Let's use the same question in reverse. If you had to choose one coin 10 years ago, what would you have chosen?

This 'revolution' of 'coins' requires weekly monitoring. The winning code might not have be written yet. But the best will win and the legacy systems will only exist in history books and collector wallets.
