1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VeChain: To hold or to buy more? on: June 01, 2018, 12:32:51 PM
The project looks very promising and stable and the current market cap is very underrated in our opinion. It's too early to make big statements but with so much things planned for them, if they manage to pull it off, they may see a huge rise in the price of the token.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: June 01, 2018, 12:25:07 PM
Well, you shouldn't trust anything 100% but ICO ratings and reviews give you a solid ground for future research. You shouldn't care about the rating itself but the information that it points your attention to. Important factor that you should look for are the caps. You can learn a lot about a project from the hard and soft caps of the ICO. If they are unrealistically high or there is no explenation how the team plans to distribute the raised money, than either it's a scam or the team is incompetent. In both cases you should stay away from the ICO.

One factor would be the market cap. If you think a coin/token is undervalued, the idea behind it is inovative, it's ahead of it competitions - then invest ! For some reason there are a lot of undervalued coins and if you can pick up some of them you could make a big profit in the following months. It is risky but it may pay off big time with enough reading and some luck.

An important factor that is not mentioned enough is the token economic. A good ICO must have realistic Hard and Soft cap and also a good explenation behind the amount of money they intend to raise. Also there should be enough information as for how the money will be distributed. That information is very easy to find, you need not more than 5 minutes to find that in the ICOs website or whitepaper. If that information is missing then either the project is a scam or the team behind it is higly incompetent. In both cases you should avoid investing your money in it. Invest smart and good luck to all !

The fastest "test" are the Caps. Hard and Soft caps can tell a lot about an ICO and you can find them in less than 2 min. If the hard cap is unrealistically high or if there isn't at all that's a bad sign meaning that the project is either a scam or the team is incompetent (in most cases - both). Also a good project should have information on why they have chosen a particular amount of money and how they plan to distribute the money. If that information is missing from the ICOs site or whitepaper then you shouldn't invest in it because the red flags are there and the risks are too high. Hope this is useful to you guys. Be careful with your money and best of luck !

When you consider investing in an ICO always look at the Hard cap they have put. Is there a reason for it or is it just a random number ?  Also look through the whitepaper to see if they have announced how the money would be distributed. If there isn't information on that then most probably either the ICO is a scam or the people behind it are incompetent. In both cases it's not worth the risk investing in it. There are many more red flags but this one is easier to spot without wasting too much time. Hope this is useful and good luck !
