All the stakes are on dev activating the masternode fund and masternofe votes. As this coin is zero premined, if he does that this coin is independent, no longer dev dependent as masternodes can vote and hire any dev team or vote to pay any exchange to get listed.
if he does not..probably this coin will die, as no one will trust a coin that is dependent of an anonymous dev that can dissapear like Exvo.
especialy after what happen with exvo exchange
I see here a lot of stupid talk about raising funds to get listed on an exchange.....guys....this is a masternode coin...and functional masternode coins HAVE a fund to vote for with the masternodes. No need to raise anything...all it takes is for the dev to activate this and we can vote for it with the masternodes.

Install multiple masternodes on the same vps ( the vps must have an IP for every masternode)

Install 1.putty and 2. winscp

follow the guide for single masternode:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/12HlCLHVMhxgu0jMewd4e48w3NQ5pdRLPmPb0ZhPG3dw/edit#

when you get to this part in the guide:
"cd
mkdir .wavicore
nano .wavicore/wavi.conf
"

instead of creating ".wavicore" use winscp (easier) or create in putty "wavi01, wavi02......" like this:
"cd ..
mkdir wavi01
nano wavi01/wavi.conf
"
Now you should have in your user directory (mine is root) like this:
"
wavi
wavi01
wavi02
wavi03
"

wavi directory contains "wavid" file
the others contain the wavi.conf you just made with nano or winscp

my wavi.conf files are like this:

"

#mnXX
rpcuser=mnXX
rpcpassword=XXXXXXX
rpcport=99XX
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
externalip=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:9983
bind=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
maxconnections=25

addnode=80.209.239.239
addnode=185.81.164.56
addnode=89.40.11.157
addnode=94.176.238.101

"
change the "X" !!!
rpc user must be different for each conf
rpcpassword can be the same for all
rpcport must be different for each masternode and different from 9983 ( use 9984,9985...etc)
externalip and bind = masternode ip, one of the ip's you have on the vps
masternodeprivatekey is the one you generate in the debug console, the same one you put in masternode.conf on windows wallet

start your masternode on the vps from putty with command:
/root/wavi/wavid -datadir=/root/wavi01 --daemon

Note that my path to the directories wavi and wavi01 wavi02... is /root . Put your own path

check if it's running in putty with:
ps aux --sort -rss

let the mn sync for 1/2 to 1h

configure your windows wallet masternodes.conf like explained in the tutorial for single masternode, one line for each masternode

mn01 IP:9983 masternodekey output
mn02 IP:9983 masternodekey output

restart windows wallet and then start masternodes from windows wallet.

you can also put the start command in /etc/rc.local in vps just in case vps restarts so the masternodes start at restart. If vps stays offline more than 1h masternodes need restart from windows wallet.

/etc/rc.local:

 /root/wavi/wavid -datadir=/root/wavi01 --daemon
/root/wavi/wavid -datadir=/root/wavi02 --daemon
 /root/wavi/wavid -datadir=/root/wavi03 --daemon
 /root/wavi/wavid -datadir=/root/wavi04 --daemon

So i guess we actually have entered the GPU/ASIC era with a GPU miner now available for Yescryptr32. 450H/s on a 980ti and 1,200H/s on an overclocked 1080ti FTW3.

What does this mean for a coin who's primary advantage over similar alts was CPU-only? Mining WAVI on a 1080ti could almost even be considered power efficient compared to the many older CPUs that are chipping away at this project.

Not exactly.
2 reasons:

1. 1080ti makes more money mining zec or other crypto
2. dell inspiron laptop I3 / gpu nvidia 840m = 130hash/cpu+70hash/gpu=200 hash @ 40W .And that is a weak configuration.
 You can find 5 laptops to mine in background for free in a lot of offices, 1080ti you have to buy and pay a lot.

INVALID ADDRESS
There is a space in the address.

Now I see it. Copying / paste from this forum again.....and yes...when I paste in pinkstarcoin wallet a space appears.

So I delete the space and it's good to go?

Click here if you need the miner. Choose one which was uploaded around April. Most people use ccminer Klaus T 8.21 rev 9. But I got no luck in compiling that version. Then I moved to rev 7 to make it work.

Well, you broke the business with a palkakapalka. He so hoped to have an exclusive software for mining on the GPU  Smiley

palkhakapala extracted it for a long time because it is not hard to look for,
this is a very good coin, when it will grow and will cost as bitcoin, so help vote and I will be very rich with you  Wink

vote for adding the coin to the exchange https://octaex.com/Vote/index/page/2
To add, you need 1455 votes

Yep....and after getting rich, Palkakapalka  will buy Amazon, get rid of Dash and Amanda and force it to trade in WAVI. That's the plan, I knew it! mwhahahahahahahahahah Smiley))))))

how can I copy the my address from the simplewallet? c/p does not seem to work.
* found it in log file

now I have another problem. Pinkstar wallet says the address I am supposed to send to for swap is invalid.

And yes....CRAPPY coin exchange .....I had 500 electroneum and some CRAPPY coins on their exchange.
Lucky for me that with some XMR I purchased 500.000 PNKS and got them out of the exchange and in my wallet before they stopped paying Smiley .

You can keep your GPU miner for yourself....I just wanted to test it.
On this coin, not only GPU mining, but all mining, even CPU mining will  never bring very much profit.
Maybe GPU was profitable the first weeks, but CPU mining will kill it.
Because there are a lot of unused cpu's around the world and wavi is far more profitable than monero on cpu mining.
Big hashpower coming from CPU....they can afford it, don't have to buy anything, computers are already there.
I don't see many GPU's idle in offices around the world that can mine in the background.......
When a lot of CPU's start mining in the background the most profitable coins, and wavi is, and when the reward starts moving more to masternodes after block 158000 ( 6 month from now)...the profit in this coin will be on masternodes, not mining.

The GPU Miner is out since about a month....

https://imgur.com/a/Jdfy1Gv

any link to the miner?

let me google that for you?

they are lazy to seek, and are reluctant to vote

lol! for anyone who is too lazy to use google... for 100 wavi i'll give you a link to the miner Wink

Dude...it seems to me you have absolutely no ideea what a coin community forum is. It's for helping and sharing, not for selling info for whatever votes you want or posting 3 times a printscreen but not the link to the miner.

For your info I have old nvidia cards on some laptops, my new cards are amd. Did not work before with excavator. Just wanted to know what program exactly you used. I searched google but what I found did not work with my card.

That is not a valid reason to be a smart ass and call me lazy.Nor to post printscreens and ask for whatever votes to sell the info on a community forum.

I see 2 opinions
1. mining with gpu must be prevented
2. mining with gpu must be involved

How about a 3rd opinion?

Mining with GPU must be involved but with moderation...so it won't kill CPU mining.

From what I see in that GPU mining printscreen (fake or not)...GPU will not kill cpu mining. 200 hash for gtx1050 and 400 hash on gtx1060.
Even this lo budget cards make far more profit mining zec or monero....
It's only logic to assume that even if the miners want wavi they will mine the more profitable coins and sell for wavi, getting more wavi this way.
Even if the price will grow....the CPU mining power will grow more making the GPU not profitable, as there are a lot of cpu's already used at 5%, mining them in the background means the hardware cost is zero, they are already up and running doing nothing.To mine a GPU you have to buy it.
An old I7 used in an office can mine 2-300 hashes in the background. And an old I3 around 160-200 hashes.

Maybe when the price will grow like monero...100-200$ /wavi we will have to take into consideration that GPU mining is killing CPU mining.

I don't see involving some people that like wavi so much that they prefer to mine GPU on wavi at a lower profit than any other coin as bad.
This might actually grow the community as long as it does not kill cpu mining.

Yes...more miners means less coins/miner, yes the cpu miners might be unpleased. But more miners means also bigger community, and that is good for the coin. And the coin is paying now 70% for the miners and only 20 % for masternodes...exactly for that, to get more people interested to mine, to grow the community.
So in my opinion there are 2 possibilities here:

1. GPU mining side by side with CPU mining....like monero...and of course the CPU miners unhappy because they get competition...And this is good for the coin

AND

2. GPU mining overtake CPU mining making it not profitable compared to CPU mining.....And this is bad for the coin, wavi community miners would leave. ( not this case in my opinion, monero is expensive, cpu mining on monero is at least 3-4 times less profitable than gpu..monero gpu mining fighting for the most mined profitable coins with GPU so people move their rigs to monero for profit .....  and it is still mined with cpu).

Except the fact that GTX1060 is getting far more profit mining zec, I was just wondering....How much time and electricity is needed to pay the money spent on a gtx 1060 mining wavi? Smiley

Just my opinions, I am not a dev....Maybe I am wrong....maybe not...

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] WAVI [YescryptR32] [NO Pre-mine] [Masternode] on: April 27, 2018, 03:51:44 AM
Examining the Wavi code further .... this is obviously a fork of Dash.

The same code I note above .... right down to the comments ... is in the Dash code.

The only change the Wavi developer seems to have made is to the max block reward (reduced from 500 to 50).

It curious that a coin designed to be long term CPU-only so quickly exits what is referred to as the "CPU mining era".

It would be interesting to hear from the dev regarding this design decision.

Agreed on it being a Dash fork, I noticed that a couple weeks ago when I was researching WAVI deeply.

Has anybody heard from the dev? I searched his profile on btctalk and github and there isn't much for contributions lately. Since April 10th, and that was for a yescrypt16 thread. WAVI has so much potential, I just hope the dev is dedicated to the project.

I see that the dev is very dedicated to the project. Let's take the facts.

1. there are a lot of masternode coins on the market...a lot are premined, others have already 20 mil + coins sold (*by sold I mean mined, I will explain this), and the masternodes are still working bad with "need restart" very often and other problems. This one has 1 month and 1.2 mil coins total and it's working perfect.
* sold=mined because this is the potential of a coin, especially a new one, to sell itself by mining to build the interest to keep the price up and a community until it grows and gets to be used as "money" to buy "goods". If it fails to grow...it will never be used as "money". And this potential is "sold" at the coins with 20 mil coins on the market now, compared to wavi that has only 1.2 mil and already has functional masternodes and a well distributed mining algo.

2. the mining algo is very good and well distributed

3.building interest for the coin: masternodes are a little bit more profitable than mining...so this builds a interest to buy to build masternodes growing the price at a steady rate. There is a limit on the max number of masternodes...1200 now...limit given by the number of coins on the market...around 1.2 mil now

4. keeping the interest to buy, demand that keeps the price growing....flexible reward...for mn it will grow...masternodes/miners split of reward:
now 20%
from block 158000 - 25%
from block 175280 - 30%
from block 192560 - 35%
from block 209840 - 37.5%
from block 227120 - 40%
from block 244400 - 42,5%
from block 261680 - 45%
from block 278960 - 47,5%
from block 313520 - 50%

5. I like even the code that you say is a copy from dash...really ...almost all mn coins are a dash copy...but the way the reward and mn is set to keep a steady grow that is dev's merit in building a coin that sells itself wise to grow.

6. that part of the code that cuts down the reward if diff goes more than 70-80 (now diff is 0,02). Well...i like even that. What happen to the cryptonite coins now with asics ? they changed mining algo, but while they did...it took a month or so...asics mined a lot. That reward cutoff when the diff jumps skyhigh gives the community time to vote on masternodes for algo change without asics mining a lot in the time it takes to do that.By then masternode votes will be functional ....

So...pardon my french...I don't give a f....if dev is not present or I don't know his name. I like very much what he is doing with this coin. And knowing dev's name won't help me very much if a coin goes down. I thrust the algo, the open source, the program not the dev. And the source is public.
Also I don't care who wrote parts of the code...I like what the code does on this coin...it does after 1 month and 1.2 mil coins mined a "functionality" that other old 20 mil + coins don't have
