Okey I get it, I need to install extractor at the end of the duct to help exhaust the air outside because the fan it self cannot do it. I was trying to avoid the extractor installation and buying one.

I guess I got no choice unless I find a way to put the back fan of the miners blowing directly outside and the air not returning inside

I asked bitmain about the static pressure and no answer.

I guess I will have to pay a lab to get the info hehe.

Don't hold me to it but AFAIK for a s9 that is a free flow in & out of around 250 cfm. Considering the fans are already working hard to keep reasonable temps, raising the work load by adding adding resistance (passive ductwork) will only reduce the airflow and result in higher chip temps.
I understand what you said and it is logic. I agree with you that putting more work to the fans is bad. The fans are already pushing air out. The idea was to know the pressure to see if that force was enough to push the hot air outside trough a big duct.

Ducting into and out of an S9 is usually a bad idea. IF you have to do it, use at least a 6" duct, at 4" there is restriction and overheating.

I am planing to use a big duct, rectangle maybe 24in wide and make the S9 blow the air inside and push it out.
That the reason why I wanted to know the static pressure

I know  "Static pressure refers to how much pressure the fan can produce against resistance when it reaches zero airflow"

The ventilation people need to know the static pressure of the fan because they want to calculate if the antminer s9 can push the hot air itself trough the duct and what duct size it needs to be able to do it.

I have search all over the forum and google trying to find the static pressure of the S9. To be more precise, the external static pressure of the exhaust fan.

Everyone talks that it has high static pressure but no one have actually mentioned the spec (mm-H2O or inch-H2O)

Anyone knows the exact data?

We tough of that idea before but the landlord doesn't let me modify the walls.

There is a garage door which is like 14ft long x 8ft high.

It is the façade of the warehouse so I cannot do anything crazy. The new idea is to cut small square on the garage door (wood made) and stick the exhaust antmzner trough there.

We need to install a drainable louver to cover the garage door from outside. Something like this.
https://m.grainger.com/mobile/product/DAYTON-Drainable-Louver-5NKK0
or like this
https://www.herculeslouvers.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/louvered_screening_06.jpg

We are planing to leave about 2 feet from the garage door to the louver cover.

I wonder if it will be enough space for the hot air to go away and pass trough the louver.

I live in Canada, Quebec.

The problem is that my warehouse is kinda isolated. It only has one window.
The warehouse has an exhaust of 14x14" which I believe is 700CFM (useless).

The only way I can install fans is on the roof and it is extremely expensive.

The US$17.000 is for the whole installation and equipment.

1 Exhaust fan of 20.000CFM
1 Fan filtered of 20.000CFM
custom made ducts
The roofer of what ever is call. The guy who open the hole on the roof and puts a base and make sure the roof can support the weight.
The ventilation guy to install the whole set up.

My warehouse is 17 feet high.

I was thinking to do a wooden box where it will have the square holes for each miner fan (exhaust). I will put that box just behind the rack and the fan of the miner will enter there.
Then all the miners will be exhausting the hot air inside that box.
That box, on the ceiling of the box, it will have the custom made ducts connected up to the roof of the warehouse and connected to the extractor .

So the hot air of miners go inside the box, the ducts connected to the ceiling of the box and extractor on the roof pulling the hot air outside.

Then we have another fan on the roof bringing air from outside to inside the warehouse, of course filtered.

That is the only best idea we had.

12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Installation of 70 S9 on: May 06, 2018, 05:40:37 AM
I have trouble with this set up.

I have the electric part solved. I connected and ran 30 S9. After a like 7-8 hours, the temperature in the warehouse was 42C (107F).
The warehouse has an exhaust of 14x14" I think of 700 CFM.
I have a window opened so air can come inside.

I read that each S9 is 250CFM~4680BTU.

In order to solve my problem, I need to install a 20.000CFM exhaust + fan.
All together, it is costing me about USD17.000.

You think it is normal to pay so much for ventilation to install 70 S9?
13  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Bitmain Coupons $200 on: May 05, 2018, 04:23:58 AM
I am not aware of any country restriction.

Regarding the purchase, you cannot use a coupon which value is higher then 50% of the product.

Example: if something cost 300$, you cannot use a 200$ coupon.
In order to use a $200 coupon, the product has to cost more then 400$

If you want to buy a product from Bitmain that cost less then $400 you will have to buy $100 coupons which is only applied to 2 miners, D3 and V9.
14  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Bitmain Coupons $200 on: May 04, 2018, 05:34:12 PM
any restriction on the coupons? can i use any number of them in a single order?

You can only use 1 coupon per machine.
If you buy 100 machines, you can use 100 coupons.
