MIRAGE

Modular. Invisible. Ringed. Anonymous. Global. Ecosystem.

I can't see you. You can't see me.

In an ever evolving virtual ecosystem the world becomes more and more interconnected. As the world becomes more linked, disseminating information becomes easier. However, as data has become more easily accessible, securing your private information has become more important than ever before. Hackers, fraudsters, covert government spying, etc. all threaten to compromise your personal data. Blockchain technology has improved financial security by decentralizing digital payments. However many cryptocurrencies have fallen short of being completely anonymous, as a result, the need for a truly anonymous currency has arisen.

MIRAGE stands for Modular Invisible Ringed Anonymous Global Ecosystem, it is a cryptocurrency that puts user privacy first. Users can send and receive MIRAGE with complete anonymity. Transaction data is completely obfuscated on the MIRAGE network, making it impossible to know who sent a transaction. The official MIRAGE wallet operates over Tor to ensure user data identities remain untraceable. IP addresses and wallet data are completely obfuscated on the MIRAGE network. MIRAGE also supports Ring Signing Technology, OBFS4, Tor Bridging, and a customized version of zk-Snarks.

Confirmations are instant. Payments can be made in a matter of seconds. This makes MIRAGE one of the fastest cryptocurrencies in to date.

The MIRAGE network is also completely secure due to Project REVERIE, an advanced protocol that secures the MIRAGE network from attacks and adds several additional layers of security that have never been implemented in a cryptocurrency. Once implemented, it will make MIRAGE the most secure cryptocurrency in the world.

Development on MIRAGE was started in late 2016 by Johan Muller and Kanion Anderson. It was inspired by TAILS, an operating system that can be used without leaving a trace.

Stealth Staking

The official MIRAGE Stealth Wallets for desktop and mobile will allow stealth staking. Generate new coins by leaving your wallet open and lending computational power to the blockchain. Because MIRAGE operates over Tor, your identity remains anonymous.

Stealth Addresses
Send transactions anonymously. On the MIRAGE Coin network, IP and Wallet addresses are hidden for all users and transactions are completely untraceable.

zk-Snarks
Allows miners to validate transactions without knowing their origin. This has been modified to operate with stealth staking.

OBFS4
OBFS4 is a public key obfuscation protocol. It hides the message content protocol details so all traffic appears to be random traffic.

Ease of Use

The MIRAGE Stealth Wallet is easy to use. Open it on your desktop or smart phone and you're ready to send MIRAGE currency. There is no need to configure anything. All incoming and outgoing transactions are private.

TOR Integration
The Mirage Stealth Wallet is built on TOR and is fully functional with SSL and OBFS4. Transactions are untraceable, no matter where you are in the world.

ICO

The ICO will open on May 5th, at 9:00 AM UTC and conclude on May 15th, 2018, unless the crowd sale hardcap of  17,000,000 MIRAGE is reached. The transaction rate will be 1 ETH = 2,000 MIRAGE. Investment hardcap is 15 ETH.

All profit raised will go towards development.

FAQ

What are Ring Signatures?

Ring signatures enable a user to sign a message so that a “ring” of possible signers (of which the user is a member) is identified, without revealing exactly which member of that ring actually generated the signature. Because data is clustered together, it is impossible to discern the true origin of a transaction.

What is Bridging?
Tor bridges, also called Tor bridge relays, are alternative entry points to the Tor network that are not all listed publicly. For example, countries such as China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia block access to Tor, which is one of the core components of the MIRAGE wallet. With bridging, your transactions remain hidden, no matter where you are.

What are Stealth Addresses?
Stealth addresses are addresses that cannot be identified as belonging to a single user.

What is CoinJoin?
CoinJoin is another algorithm with an emphasis on privacy. It offers users the ability to merge transactions so they can not be traced back to the sender’s wallet. The senders can easily be more than two individuals. CoinJoin will then simply add additional outputs. Because of cryptography, the individuals that are merged together have no reason to worry.

What is zk-Snarks?
zk-Znarks (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) is an algorithm that promotes privacy by enabling miners to validate transactions without knowing where they originate from. In other words, miners have no knowledge of who is sending and receiving the coins pending validation. Most of the Z-coins such as ZCash and ZClassic utilize this algorithm.

What is REVERIE?
REVERIE is a protocol that we have been developing. It secures the MIRAGE network and adds an additional layer of security. It will revolutionize privacy coins. More information will be available with the release of the Whitepaper and Github on June 1st.

Disappear. Enter the mirage.
