Thanks for the answer.

It would be really helpful to the adoption of bitcoin if there were a financial product like futures that Bitpay could purchase as "insurance" against price fluctuations.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Why are Bitpay's addresses only valid for 15min? on: January 05, 2014, 02:00:28 AM
I just saw someone buy something with Bitpay, and they were given a bitcoin address to send the funds to.  The screen said that this address was only valid for 15min.

I understand that having a unique address for each transaction helps them neatly organize transactions but why do they say that the address is only valid for 15min?  Is that to get people to pay quickly in order to minimize fluctuations in the exchange rate?

Great job, thanks for sharing that here.

How long does it take the generate the addresses?  I tried to generate 10 a new Macbook and after 5 min of waiting nothing happened.  Is is supposed to take this long?
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Do all Wallets download the blockchain? on: January 02, 2014, 09:28:39 PM
I have been running Bitcoin-Qt without a problem, and some online wallets.
Bitcoin-Qt took a few hours to get synced up.

Do all Wallets need to download the blockchain?

How can an Android wallet download the full blockchain when it only has a limited amount of memory?

Look into Colored Coins or MasterCoin.  They are working on ways of making unique coins, so that you can trade assets on top of the BlockChain.

I am not sure if that is what you are talking about with "unique coins", but I hope it helps.
