Apparently they launched flappycoin and didn't think anyone would notice it was the same people, but they re-used their ssl cert on the same server so the https for wecoin goes to flappycoin if it allow the certificate name error to pass https://wecoin.in/ -> https://flapwallet.com/

Complete rewrite for stability purposes for v3.0 of the wallet. Hey you, I want my wecoin bitcoin "investment" back. https://wecoin.in/ -> https://flapwallet.com/Sure enough your wecoin cert goes to flappycoin. Same people, same server, same cert. flappycoin = wecoin Did you think people wouldn't notice?

So they just walked away with 40 BTC ?

Something I've noticed after testing this on and off for quite awhile now.
While it definitely increases raw kh/s and makes the gpu work harder (based on gpu temps at same clock rate)
- the reality is, it does nothing for WU
Long term WU does not change compared to without these tweaks.
I am not knowledgeable enough to explain why but I can pretty much report this as fact.
So if it makes you feel better to see higher kh/s and use more power and run gpu hotter, this helps.
But for actual real-world improvement, this does not seem to do much.
If someone has proof otherwise, please share your WU improvements?

Ha! if it hit 300 satoshi I would buy a Tesla and the license plate would be HD7950
But I think 300 is a complete fantasy, that would be one third of a cent (usd).
It would make hundreds of millionaires overnight and I do not think there is enough buying demand at that price.
There are at least 200 people with at least 10 million dogecoin right now.

Doesnt seem suspicious at all. If you count all the above and add multipool.us with 8, or over 8 that is exactly 26-27 ghash. Correct me if im wrong
You are correct. I was thinking of the numbers from memory earlier this morning and after I pasted them I realized it adds up.

Stupid forum thinks I have posted this before so adding this text here. Annoying. ps. not related at all to the suchcoins pool, guess it is a common handle pps. I bet a bulk of the darknet is coming from middlecoin since they do not publish their current coin and they have players with triple digit Mhash/sec
|
|
|
By the way, Who is the biggest pool by Hashrate ? Dogehouse ?
There is some serious darknet out there for dogecoin. Entire network is 27 Ghash/sec but top twenty known pools add up only a bit over half of that.

|
|
Please consider making a bootstrap.dat available, the chain is already taking far too long to download because of the weak node links.

Their 25mhash/sec box is $9000
You can get 36 7950s for that price.
Which is the same computational power, roughly.
Of course 36 7950 would use 7000 watts vs the only 600watts for the asic and a heck of a lot more space.

Using BAMT/Ubuntu I have one card that I can freely change the core/mem clocks after boot.
But another 7950, after BAMT boots, nothing can change the clock. Not aticonfig, not atitweak, not cgminer directly.
Note that BAMT does properly initialize the clock during boot as per the settings in cgminer.conf
I am trying to figure out how it does that and with what utility.
Is it maybe an X11 problem where once it is set it is not releasing its lock?
Only thing I can do is change the settings in cgminer.conf and cold boot again.
aticonfig/atitweak can read the clocks but attempting to change them fails
yet the other brand card can change freely
I can change the fan speed without a problem but nothing else.
ideas?

Please let me know of the results you were able to get, including your hardware and drivers version.
This definitely worked on my 7950s under BAMT/Ubuntu with catalyst 12.6 (8.98) But strangely it did not affect my 7970 in the slightest. Here are the previous attempts to tweak scrypt.cl https://litecointalk.org/index.php/topic,4082.0.htmlhttps://litecointalk.org/index.php/topic,6020.0.htmlwhich didn't work for me at all - but yours did Note how they had to make a different version for 13.4+ and pre-13.4 The 7950s went from 610-611 to 620-625 so roughly a 2% performance increase. On rare occasion I've noticed the rate bounce down to 610 but climb back up. Watching the longer term WU to see what happens. I'm curious why the 7970 is not affected at all, I only have a single thread running. If you'd like some dogecoin as a thank you, let me know your address.

Another question I was going to ask before I forget is if there is any benefit to upgrading from catalyst 12.6 (8.98) drivers under ubuntu vs the newer 13.1 or 13.4
I've read anecdotal stories about how 13.x is slower than the 12.6 so not sure if it is a good idea or no point.

5 posts and 4 hours, yikes. Guess some people ruined it for everyone.
So before I forget, I guess I will make notes here.
I wanted to reply to this thread about a scrypt tweak for performance increase:
bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369858.0
and note that it worked on my 7950s but strangely doesn't affect my 7970 at all
and here is the last person that tried to make a tweak
litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=4082.0
which didn't work for me at all
The 7950s went from 610-611 to 620-625 so roughly a 2% performance increase. On rare occasion I've noticed the rate bounce down to 610 but climb back up. Watching the longer term WU to see what happens.
