Lately datacoins mined have been stuck in the immature category.  I understand they are in this category until they get something like 3300 confirmations but they have been in this state since Tue, 24 Dec 2013 22:39:08 GMT.  I have been mining constantly since this time and have been getting considerably more coins at a faster rate due to what looks like a lower difficulty and a higher block reward. Are all of these coins going to come back as orphans once they get enough confirmations?  

This happened on 2 of the cloud miners I have been playing with on Digital Ocean but the other ones have been fine on Google Compute and AWS. How did I get into this state and how do I remedy it? Is there a way to prevent this from happening as it went unnoticed for so long? If I restore the wallet, will the immature coins be lost?
