1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BITSTAMP.net Bitcoin exchange site for USD/BTC on: January 03, 2014, 03:15:18 PM
I sent a wire last week on Thursday morning and still have not received it. I understand there was a 1 day banking holiday but the wait time is getting excessive considering I usually receive them within 1-2 bus days.

My request for $2600 has been in "In Process" since December 29 and the support ticket I submitted has not been answered either. I understand it's year end and holiday season, but taking more than 4 days and still not able to clear the backlog and delays, that's just not right. I also initiated a ~$4000 withdrawal from coinbase and was told the ACH will be completed by Jan 8th. Let's see how that goes.

Support just answered my ticket. The status has been changed to "Finished". Now I'm just waiting for the funds to show up in my bank account.

Is Bitstamp support working? Ticket has been open for days and still no reply... I'm unable to trade anymore...

Just did like 30 minutes ago. I think they have huge backlogs/delays due to the holiday season. Almost took them 4 days to respond, but at least they responded.

The biggest factor in Bitcoin's future price increases will be merchant adoption. There are millions of venture capital dollars chasing the market opportunity of replacing Visa and MasterCard. Coinbase in particular is offering 0-1% transaction fees compared to the 2%+ merchants are used to paying. The cost of accepting Bitcoin with guaranteed USD payouts is just having an Android device around. That is a deal few merchants will pass up.

You are right on point. Although coinbase sucks at serving retail clients (based on the stories on this forum), they are very efficient on delivering services to merchants. Goldman alumni definitely knows where to get the most bucks and boost company valuation.
