We have made some changes to the Hanacoin wallet and released version v0.16.3.1 to address the current transactions issues. This release kicks off the consensus for SegWit implementation which is conducted in periods. We asked all pool operators to upgrade their daemons before the new period kicked off. We were successful in getting the majority of pools to upgrade. Successful implementation of SegWit requires 7560 blocks out of 10080 to be generated by the updated pools so it is critical to be mining on a pool supporting Hanacoin 0.16.3.1. Current status for this period is: 6898 blocks passed of 10080. Of the 6898, 6293 are SegWit blocks. This gives us a 91% SegWit generation rate and puts us 83% of the way to successfully implementing SegWit. Whilst its good news to have progressed the issue, it means for SegWit to be successfully implemented we have another few days of waiting and require network support to successfully implement. SegWit will provide the missing witnesses on the Hanacoin chain that are currently causing transactions not process as they are awaiting these witnesses (non-SegWit does not have witnesses). This issue came about because the fork we took originally already had SegWit implemented hence our later assumption with a security update that SegWit was on the network. We have since learnt that when forking, it's important to understand consensus items will need to be re-implemented, that's what we missed. Hey,
We had several things go wrong at once.
First was the Bitcoin Security update which saw our trading suspended on Crypto-Bridge for a couple of days whilst we processed the update. Currently, there is a transaction issue preventing withdrawals due to no witnesses which is now fixed in the code but will take about 15 days to take effect as its SegWit related and needs consensus to pass. The final is ASIC miners becoming available and mining + auto selling on the Hana network.
We are working on forking the coin at the moment to move away from the ASIC miners. Once we fork we will seek a second exchange.
These items combined will start the Hana price rising again.

The airdrop on Crex24 was Hancoin.. Not Hanacoin. To different coins  We had a bounty that just finished. We have not distributed the coins yet as we are contacting people who gave incorrect payment addresses and filtering out the cheaters. Our discord channel has a dedicated Bounty section for any questions. We will announce on all social media once we pay out the bounty. I expect a week or so by the time we work through 5000+ participants. |

The issue we need to fix is the security issue in the bitcoin chain CVE-2018-17144. Its resolved in Bitcoin 0.16.3 which is available. We need to upgrade the Hanacoin base to incorporate this fix. We are working on this. we need for dev update right? Yes, we are working on updating the core at the moment. We expect to have the update in testing later this week.
