1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: June 21, 2018, 04:59:07 AM
I think if u look at the broad picture, the timing doesn't matter when it comes to investing in ICOs. People are mostly spreading FUD when the markets are red, and making it sound like a bad thing to invest in ICOs. In reality, there is actually no correlation if u think about it. Investing in an ICO encompasses so many more important factors than just considering public's market sentiment. These factors include the ICO's business model, strength & experience of the team members, the tokenomics, and many more
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: June 21, 2018, 03:07:04 AM
Even though it is obvious that reading the whitepaper is the most important thing before investing in an ICO, you will be surprised how many people don't. I know quite a number of people who simply invest in ICO because of the hype, and did not read the whitepaper at all. When things go well, they suddenly claim to be expert investors (when they were just gambling and got lucky). When things go wrong, they start blaming the team and community managers because the value of the coin goes lower than ICO price. People are strange these days...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto long-term? on: June 18, 2018, 02:36:17 PM
I believe in the blockchain tech behind it all. That is the powerful thing about the crypto world. Cryptocurrencies are the product of blockchain technology. Cryptocurrencies may be either good or bad, depending on the business model and use-cases. Blockchain technology itself is the thing that is disrupting the entire world across different industries. Exciting times!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone talks about the fall of the market. Is it so? on: June 17, 2018, 05:56:34 AM
I personally think there is a lot of rubbish talk in the trading world. People often compare today's prices to the all time high levels in December, and then worry because the prices are not reaching those levels today leading to the spread of FUD on a daily basis. Realistically, if people truly understand how useful the tech is, there is not much to worry. I consider these worriers as the speculators, not investors/traders. They real traders love volatility, and the real investors do not care about short-term drama. Overall, the crypto space has grown so much positively in this past 1 year and people who went in early are enjoying the fruits of it (just like any other investment opportunities). It is probably those that went in during the hyped period last year December who are the ones making a lot of noise and complaints in today's crypto space Smiley
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is market down due to Eid of muslims? on: June 15, 2018, 02:55:27 AM
With Eid just around the corner across the globe...

Are mulims in crypto space selling and taking their money out from crypto space to buy gifts for their loved ones causing market down?

HAHA u crack me up buddy
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people don't vote? on: June 15, 2018, 02:42:52 AM
I think it depends on which country you are referring to? From what I know, many southeast asian countries are very engrossed with voting. They would not miss out on the chance of getting to vote.

One big factor in my opinion. It depends on how corrupted the citizens view its government in power. For instance, if the citizens feel that the government is corrupted and many shady things are done frequently, going out to vote would be a waste of time in their point of view because they know it would not matter. I know some countries who are in that situation (no names shall be given here, let you guys ponder) and almost a third of the population wouldn't even bother voting simply because they feel that the entire system is rigged already right from the start.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: June 15, 2018, 02:27:10 AM

Income inequality, has been around forever

Income inequality occurs due to hegemony, corruption, centralization, controlled media and division
Which are all evident now

All wars are fake controlled by hegemony
(1936 Prescott Bush worked with Hitler, Prescott Bush begets George Bush - president 1991 who begets George bush president 2001 and Jeb Bush 2016 - current politician designed to be president)
(King George 1917 did not help his cousin Nicholas the Russian Tsar)

Due to King George in 1917 not helping his cousin he financially benefited trillions.

and so on it goes

be careful of your university professors, used by hegemony (Soros foundation) to socially engineer generations

forgive me if I am wrong but are you a student of economics

Yes, you can say economics is a major of mine haha. Interesting that you mention these fake wars theories, sounds like u are a history major? Personally, I find these conspiracy theories to be pretty interesting (and very believable) at times. Sometimes, hard to also search for evidence supporting it cos it is well concealed by some strong people up there. Just trying my luck here in our convo, any chance you have great resources that I could refer to regarding your claims? Would be very keen to explore more on those claims
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you want to live longer on: June 14, 2018, 12:18:07 PM
interesting topic to discuss actually. but I think an issue in today's age is mainly the type of food we are consuming. a lot of natural stuffs are consumed in the processed form now. Maybe this is why our great grandparents can easily live up to 100 years old in the olden days...
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: June 14, 2018, 12:05:12 PM
Income inequality. It seems to be a common issue in many developed countries, being a small problem when the country is rising and progress well in the economy, and then escalating to be one of the largest problems in the country when it becomes much more developed. The irony is that in the chase of becoming a globally-recognized economy, it is inevitable that income inequality will happen. In my opinion, this is simply because only a percentage of the nation are presented with the right opportunities, at the right time (be it connections, recruitment opportunities or headhunted, etc). Hence, the idea of income equality is already bound to happen with nations progressing forward in the economy. The true meaning of utilitarian benefits is entirely flawed because for that to actually occur, every resident of the nation has to see each other as equal. In today's globalized interconnected world, many cities possess a huge mix of people and are becoming more cosmopolitan, making it very difficult for everyone to view each other as equal. That's the whole idea of capitalism isnt it haha. (wow writing this post is actually bringing out a lot of feels within me lol)
10  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi Schemes are illegal right? on: June 14, 2018, 05:55:00 AM
May not be an expert of the law here, but I can safely say pyramid schemes are illegal in all countries. The problem I feel is that investors still have the mindset that if they are not the last ones to enter the scheme, they can make money out of it (which is technically true). So I believe the problem that pozi schemes still pop up is because there's always demand for it, "intelligent" people trying to be the early adopters of it and hoping that others will follow suit after them. At the end of the day, it becomes a game of who arrived first and who arrived last. We need the help of the whole community to report it as soon as it surfaces, that's the only way I believe we can stop such scammers from getting undeserving profits from others
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People move out from cryptocurrency! on: June 14, 2018, 03:57:56 AM
It's because of such "news" that scare the masses and cause the prices to dip. That is something that the big boys love, cos they'll just buy in when it's very low and then hype it up again for the masses to be interested and re-enter. It is an ongoing cycle that seems to be working since forever haha
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: June 14, 2018, 03:38:15 AM
If you are just a normal trader/investor, hodling ether for long run is a better option. Many big boys have entered and the btc movements are determined by them. If you are a large player, btc longs and shorts are great money-making opportunities. If not, just stick to hodling eth for the long run Smiley
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creativity in crypto world on: June 14, 2018, 03:24:58 AM
Boring? Mate crypto is prolly the most nerve-wrecking and exciting vehicle at the moment haha. Try putting your own skin in the game, it gets more exciting than just reading the news Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you panic? on: June 14, 2018, 03:04:25 AM
Don't think it makes sense to distribute bounty tokens earlier than the crowdsale investors. This is probably a mismanagement matter on the team's part. It should not be the case if the team is experienced enough and knows how it works in the ICO world. This is why people pay for ICO consulting services haha. Learn from others who already made the mistakes before lol
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Watchlist 2018 on: June 14, 2018, 02:56:05 AM
I see many shillings here haha
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Campaign no more!! on: June 14, 2018, 02:38:46 AM
I think they only banned ICO-related ads. Facebook groups and discussions or posts made about crypto or ICOs are still allowed. Don't think they will ban people's thoughts on their pages or group discussions.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I do not believe ico anymore on: June 14, 2018, 02:19:58 AM
I think it's unfair to blame the eth and btc dip on icos? I've personally witnessed a number of icos giving a great amount of returns. At the end of the day, it's still about how well u did you due diligence. Also, it's probably one of the riskiest vehicle to invest in in today's world, so don't go around blaming others when your "predictions" and "analysis" do not fall in place as planned Smiley
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell token too early on: June 13, 2018, 03:52:02 PM
If the business model looks prospective, personally I hold on to the coins for at least six months. It usually seems to be a safe general time period to see if an ICO goes big, or not.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: June 13, 2018, 02:41:30 PM
What I strongly agree with is the fact that ethereum has a much better use-case than bitcoin. At the end of the day, if bitcoin is not implemented as a mainstream payment method in our daily lives, its function is redundant. On the other hand, ethereum has much better use-case whereby develops can create platform on top of it. The only issues I see with it is scalability at the moment, as well as the fact that its a specialized programming language Solidity that is required (which is not a bad thing, but many developers are still new to it).
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token payment not visible on: June 13, 2018, 02:17:33 PM
did u check if your need to custom add the token on your wallet? this could be the issue why u are not able to see your tokens appear in your wallet
