Hi all!

I would like to introduce my project to you which will help the cryptocoin community to analyse all the new coins to probably find out which coin is considered as successfull in the future.

Why?

Since I started mining altcoins I used websites like CoinChoose or pools like Multipool to mine the most profitable coin. But the problem is: the profitability is only valid for a short period of time (it is mainly based on the volatile difficulty and the highly volatile exchange rate) and only if you sell the coins immediately after mining. But I want to hold the coins and want to sell them later when the price is better or just use them if they became an accepted payment method. But how shall we know which coin will be successfull in the future? There are so many coins, most of them are just bad clones but some might have potential.

This is why I created this project: we can collect facts about coins and estimate its influence on the overall acceptance of the coin. The result is a community-driven indicator.

How does it work?

When you think about the reasons why a currency is accepted you will find many facts which influence the acceptance: what can I buy? which commercial partners accept the currency? is it stable? Thinking about cryptocoins there are also some facts which are interesting and important to distribute the coin to many users outside the cryptocoin community: premine? junk coin? user-friendly interface? security? multilanguage? services around the coin? etc. We can collect these facts for every coin on this website and estimate if and how this fact influences the overall success of the coin. The more facts and votes we collect the better the estimation will be.

Using all facts and votes, the "Coin Quality Index - CQX" is calculated which is an important indicator created by the users of the coin (and perhaps it's someday important like the ratings of i.e. Moody's for the conservative economic system ;-)

Status

The project is in alpha-state and I plan to publish the public beta version in 1-2 weeks. I'm also working to complete the catalogue of facts - perhaps the community also has some suggestions which facts are important. At the moment the facts cover the wallet software (multi-language, design, stability, speed, user friendly installer, usablility), market facts (market cap, online stores which accept the coin, local dealers accepting the coin), project website (layout, professional, multi-language, usablility), innovation (new features or only a clone, services around the coin), marketing (press, community activity, advertising).
