1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [JCE]Fast & stable CN-Heavy/Tube/XHV miner, low power, Vega56 1800+, RX580 1200+ on: December 15, 2018, 12:44:02 PM
Hi Guys,

I currently cant get my rx 470 higher than 560 h/s. All the other cards hash at the right speeds, but no matter what tweaks I use I can't get the 470 any higher.

Rig:

390
290
290
470
FX 6300
8gb RAM

Driver: 18.9.3

I don't know if you guys can help me but I currently have a problem with my rig where I can't get the second GPU to get past 590 h/s

Rig is as follows:
2x 290
1x 390
1x470
FX 6300
8GB DDR3
Currently using :jce_cn_gpu_miner.033b3
Tested:jce_cn_gpu_miner.033b4 (same perf)

drivers: 18.9.3 (have tried 18.5.1 but it made no difference)

I have tried different intensity's and switching GPU's around but that's either made the hashrate worse or no change. Below is my current config
Code:

"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
     { "cpu_architecture" : "bulldozer", "affine_to_cpu" : 0, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "bulldozer", "affine_to_cpu" : 0, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "bulldozer", "affine_to_cpu" : 0, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "bulldozer", "affine_to_cpu" : 0, "use_cache" : true },
],

"gpu_threads_conf" :
[
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 0, "multi_hash":800 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 0, "multi_hash":800 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 1, "multi_hash":448 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 1, "multi_hash":448 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 2, "multi_hash":560 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 2, "multi_hash":560 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 3, "multi_hash":800 },
     { "mode" : "GPU", "worksize" : 8, "alpha" : 64, "beta" : 8, "gamma" : 4, "delta" : 4, "epsilon" : 4, "zeta" : 4,"index" : 3, "multi_hash":800 },

],

Hashing speed:

R9 390= 782-714 h/s
R9 290= 556-540 h/s
R9 290= 720-699 h/s
RX 470= 840-820 h/s

Total Speed:2930-3118 h/s

Mining: stellite

P.S are my RX 470 speeds okay ? it seems that it should be a bit faster

The easiest thing to try is indeed to flip the BIOS switch when your PC is turned off. Could help indeed help.

Have you manually messed with different clock speeds in any programmes like MSI Afterburner or did the problem just came out of nowhere?
If you have just reset the clock speeds to factory settings(there was an option for that I think).

I didnt even know there was a bios switch on the card ill look for it. Thanks

I have a gigabyte 290x that boots up with windows and can be seen in device manager however, after 10 mins or after opening up a program the whole system crashes. I think whats happenning is an overclock gone wrong and its stuck, as the GPU is always quite warm to the touch whenever i handle the card. However i cant figure out how to return the card to stock clocks as whenever i open up wattman for example the PC crashes.

Windows 10 (fresh install)
8 GB RAM.

P.S I've tried reinstallling OS and drivers, that doesnt seem to be the problem or help. (system's fine with my other cards). Also when plugging in the card to the monitor, it diplays veryy heavy artifacts which propels my theory even more.

R9 280X 3GB Card 1020 Core Clock 1400 Memory. Currently trying to mine Monero with claymore 11.3

I have a twin frozr R9 280X 3GB Card. I've seen various benchmarks hitting anything between 500 - 650 h/s but I can't seem to get mine above 307. Claymore says it should be getting 400 ,h/s which is still low. Am I missing something ?

P.S This is in a dual GPU rig alongside a 380x which running perfectly fine.

Using Claymore 11.3 on Windows 10, 8GB, INTEL G4440
