What's POHW?
POHW = Proof Of Human Work Clearly I was asking what that means or is intended as.....

Just a reminder that buying KORE right now is an absolutely terrible idea. When devs do shady shit, exchanges have a tendency to just simply delist the coin. Go look at what happened with SilkCoin. I can guarantee you plenty of people saw the low price as a good opportunity to make a return but instead Bittrex just decided to delist it entirely....have fun making your money back now
https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-SCI mean, at least try to come up with FUD that isn't an obvious lie?

THE DEV TEAM: THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY http://youtu.be/5hfYJsQAhl0I'm not even saying buying VRC is a good idea, but listening to this guy, who has no credentials himself but feels qualified to pass judgement, is downright dumb.

someone put up a 16BTC sell wall just to scoop up some cheaper coins i think
Or they're just trying to get out at the price they got in over the last week since the whitepaper resulted in no pump at all Not saying SC doesn't deserve to be higher, just that in cryptoland price doesn't always go to what it "should" be, but instead to what market manipulators do with it - they're the ones throwing around large amounts of btc.

BoostCoin still going strong, well over 500 BTC traded in the last 24 hours!!
The Paper wallet will be released on the main web site later today (GMT)
Dont forget to keep the votes coming in for https://www.mintpal.com/voting#BOST Where was over 500 BTC traded? Which exchange?

If he abandoned MYR i want to know, i can get one other developer involved..
No one has abandoned MYR - he committed changes last week and was on IRC a few days ago

i am having difficulty mining with qubit, help appreciated.
r9 290
If you're running on nonce-pool, you're going to want to take out the - "difficulty-multiplier" : "256" - line from your config file. Their stratum doesn't require it so all it does is make it ridiculously long to produce any shares.

While I like what the author did, he is still violating copyright law and stealing from the guys who originally wrote the code. I would encourage everyone to use the IFMI workaround to remove his pool, or simply BLOCK the IPs of the pools he's connecting to.
Sorry, OP, I'd gladly donate for source code, but potentially malicious, entirely illegal code is a fail. Try making it 0%, giving out source code, and you'd get more of a donation from me than you'd ever make with your 2%.

Just curious how this is different from Myriad? Only difference I see is the halving time/reward...
|
|
|
Instead of forking Myriad, you could've made a colored coin like the Liberdade project. Would be much more effective for a country coin.

So, in essence, X11 would maintain the green and orange algos, that exist in myriad today and add the blue algos, that would be new to myriad. The idea is never lower the complexity and diversity of algos used, because that's what provides for diversity in mining options To that end, qubit could remain, as its combination is still simply minable with modern CPUs in a decent hashrate, even though all the algos are in X11 anyway My point is that myriad would become simpler to the crypto community to understand and thus widely explored and mined.
The wide adoption X11 is getting will make less and less profitable to mine coins that use only one or several of the algos, and to some extend there's the risk of most myriad becoming mined only through SHA and Scrypt, with ASICS on both cases centralizing the hash power
A move to X11 now would simplify things and allow for further development without loosing any algo and keep the number of alternatives manageable (4/5 algos)Simplify what? Moving to X11 doesn't do anything. The point isn't to incorporate every algorithm, but to have functionality and a role for each of the algorithms. Moving to X11 might mean more algorithms are used, but it does literally nothing to improve the blockchain, attract different miners, or add functionality to the coin. "The wide adoption X11 is getting will make less and less profitable to mine coins that use only one or several of the algos, and to some extend there's the risk of most myriad becoming mined only through SHA and Scrypt, with ASICS on both cases centralizing the hash power" - I just don't know what to say to this. Are you just emotionally attached to X11? It seems you think adding X11 is somehow going to attract miners, because people are going stop mining qubit/groestl/skein as x11 spreads!?!? If we have those three algorithms, people will mine those three algorithms. Miners don't care about pressing return on an x11 cgminer instance vs a skein cgminer instance. Please don't take this as a flame, I just genuinely don't see any reason to do what your saying exception emotional love of X11.

How is this anything other than an inferior clone of Myriad with a scammy IPO?

so this patch was just a change in algo weightings lol? this doesn't fix anything. shit coin. even inspired other shitcoins to use this base. before you know it myriadbase will be the new x11 and this forums will be 100x concatenated algo's in parallel with each other and it will be called innovation. + retarded devs that cant do anything but concatenate.
a bc type multipool is exactly what each coin needs. this kind of pumping makes news people.
300,000$ market cap. good luck with adoption.
I guess we should be honored you spent your first post disparaging MYR? i only registerd to shit post an inflated coin and warn people against the flood of myriad type coins. I'm sure you moved many people with your eloquence and insight.

"The only reason to artificially reduce the coin rewards 2 months in is to blatantly make yourself richer by reducing sell pressure. The honest way to make the coins you hold more valuable, if that is indeed the most pressing issue inside your morally object mind, is to actively contribute to the community. " This is the core issue. The reason anyone would buy a coin is either to use it or to trade it for profit. How many people use Alt coins today for payment? The coin's main financial purpose today is to be part of a game. The game we are all playing. To make money. The more this happens the more likely Alt coins will be used for payment in time by the masses. If you want to make a coin to use as an experimental base for new tech but not a coin of higher dollar value then you have done that with the existing reward structure. Please continue. If you want to make a coin that does the above AND raises in value so more people learn about it by buying it and using it -- then change the reward. See what is happening with "other" coins right now? The ones that protect investor value. They go up in value over time. As you said my response is a FU to miners then your response is a big FU to investors and coin users. Brazil would be much more interested if the coin had it's value protected. There is a happy medium. Best of luck. Your argument doesn't even make sense and you've seemed to miss the point. I think the people who believe in Myriad are the same people that think cryptocurrencies can revolutionize the way things are done. Innovation, development, time and effort are what investors AND miners should be looking for. "The coin's main financial purpose today is to be part of a game." Your mentality is the mentality of these other coins you talk about - out to make a quick buck. No more than an innovation-less pump and dump scheme. Then you go on to say that somehow that would be good for the long term health of Myriad?! Why does a coin need to "protect value" if it's actually got things going for it? The value is inherent to the coin - just like the blockchain protocol is the inherent value of bitcoin. I see inherent value in Myriad that doesn't need to be protected. "How many people use Alt coins today for payment?" So because they don't now, we should give up on people ever doing it, and sell out to make a quick buck? Just an amazingly self-serving way of looking at it. Maybe the point is to start developing, contributing to the community and creating ways for people to use it.

there is patch for broken AMD http://www.cryptoslax.web.id, copy that .sb to your [FLASHDRIVE]/slax/modules this will fix amd driver initialization on boot, which caused segfault on cgminer and any gpu miner Did the patch get moved? Don't see it on the website. Haven't gotten to actually test cryptoslax on PXE yet, got everything setup but couldn't get the pxe files from slax easily (without unplugging the USB stick) so I stopped for the day, and I haven't had a chance to give it a shot again yet.

Thanks man, excited about the new version. Is this going to have cgminer 3.7.2 for scrypt instead of the 3.7.3 (which is broken)?
Now I just have to get PXEBoot working for slax (2/3rds of the way there, hehe)
Also, is 1UrayjqRjSJjuouhJnkczy5AuMqJGRK4b your BTC address?
