I was going to order a set of 10 of the Prospero X1 and sent in a question in regards to them but have not heard back from them after 4 days.  If that's the attitude they have towards customer's I'll take the wait and see option

Matt - You make some wonderful points and will modify from there.  While I have seen these threads over and over for the last week I appreciate very much what you have said.  We all just want to make sure our first mining rig will be right. Smiley

The usual, been lurking for awhile, got paid and time to move on from the Nvidia 570 and 9800 I have been using.  This will be a dedicated mining rig, power not an issue, cooling shouldnt be as well (in a room with other servers).

MSI 890 Motherboard w/ the 5x PCI E
2x  SAPPHIRE 100311SR Radeon HD 6970 2GB (http://www.neweggbusiness.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102915)
Antec 1200 Watt PSU
2gb crappy ram
shitty cheap HDD
Sempron 140

The 6950 Reference card I wanted is now out of stock at newegg unfortunately and was going to get 4 or 5 of those.  In the meantime until they get restocked I figured I'd start w/ the 2x 6970's and add in 3x of the 6950's later (would be flashed).

1) If I've been reading correctly the 6970's have 2x gpu cores each on them, or is that just the 6990's?
2) Should I move to 1500watt PSU in anticipation of additional 3 cards and to have some extra headroom?

Thanks guys, I love the community here so far
