1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 20, 2014, 03:13:00 AM
If I mined DOGE alone, my 4.5 Mh/s would get me around .050. Mining at Middlecoin, I received .0595 and .0598 in the last two days.

Also, the .050 is the max I could get, it's not including exchange fees. I don't really care wtf is going on, I'm getting the most out of my rigs and even if he is stealing or skimming, who cares, where else am I going to go to get more?

Today is looking like another good payout. I'm still getting a good amount more than just mining DOGE directly. With my 4.5 MH/s, I would get around .052 BTC. I received .059 yesterday.

I'm already at .044 today with .031 in unexchanged.

Whatever H20 is doing, it's working Smiley.

I don't care what we're mining, as long as I'm making around the same/more than the highest scrypt coin, I'm happy Cheesy.

how close should WU be to actual hashrate?

I have 2 7970's, 1 7950, and 1 280x on a 1200 gold rated psu. It should handle them no problem, I tried upping the voltage, and I tried it in both the config file and in msi afterburner with no luck Sad

and yes, all in 16x slots - two 7970's directly connected to mobo, and the others on 16x-16x risers
Heterogeneous card configurations almost always sacrifice performance.  Specifically with 3 different types of cards, you're going to be losing at least some hash rate.

Go with Homogeneous card setups (all the same brand and model, preferably the same batch), if you want to really push your machines to the limit.

So true. Also, the 7970's and 280x run "gpu-threads" : "2" while the 7950 runs "gpu-threads" : "1" so you have to run 2 instances of cgminer or you will get poor performance.

It looks like we're hopping back and forth between litecoin & dogecoin every couple of minutes (sometimes every few seconds)

Thanks!

Wish we would mine CMC, CIN, ANC, WDC and NEC rather than LTC! If I wanted to mine LTC I would go to an LTC pool. If you're worried about 51% a specific coin, then split up the hashing power between a couple different coins

Those coins are only profitable because of their low difficulty. The most profitable coins right now have difficulties of 2-4. Image just moving a little but of Middlecoin over, you will increase the difficulty a lot and the amount of coins you get = less than before = less profitable.

The problem with splitting to different pools is how do you determine who gets paid what? I think it is pretty easy to just pay people what their hash power deserves but I don't know how difficult that would be to build.

We are sticking to doge coin, lite coin, feather coin and world coin because we can move around and not increase the difficulty too much.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, pool has been great and h20 does a great job. To all the people complaining about the 90 btc that was transferred out, how do we know it isn't an accumulation of h20's fees?

Hi,

I've been lurking around for about a month and just now decided to create an account.

One thing I wanted to say about the profit switching pools is this: the pool can't just switch to the most profitable coin that coinwarz is listing because the pool is way too large. If a 11 gh/s pool moves to a coin with 5 difficulty, the profitability will tumble because of the difficulty increasing drastically. I use middlecoin and everyone is complaining that we aren't mining the "most" profitable coin. Given how big the pool has gotten, we are mining the most profitable coin.

Since the pool is so large, the next step or idea would be to spread the pool out to different alt coins so that the difficulty spike isn't so drastic.

Anyway, here are my rigs:

my old gaming computer has:
7950 and a 6950 = 1.1 Mh/s

other rig has:
3x R9 270x = 1.5 Mh/s

3rd rig has:
2x R9 280x and a R9 270x = 1.95 Mh/s

Total = 4.55 Mh/s

Thanks,
