1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Emerald Coin Blockchain not syncing? on: December 18, 2017, 06:52:14 AM
title.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Query local blockchain in my PC on: March 07, 2016, 07:32:57 PM
Hi everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to query the blockchain on my C drive in my AppData folder. I know I can use blockchain.info. Blockchain.info has the simple query which I would need. Simple query like e.g. /q/addressbalance/1EzwoHtiXB4iFwedPr49iywjZn2nnekhoj?confirmations=6. But instead of doing it over the internet, I would like to know if I can do this without doing it over the internet. Of course my internet would still be on to be synchronizing the bitcoin blockchain on my PC.

Anyone can help?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTB Scrypt miners in Montreal Canada area on: January 13, 2016, 05:42:44 PM
Anyone selling Asic scrypt miners with power supply included in the Montreal Canada area?
4  Economy / Computer hardware / Anyone selling miners in the Montreal, Canada area. on: June 26, 2015, 01:36:58 AM
Anyone selling miners in the Montreal, Canada area. Preferably scrypt, but will consider SHA256 if price is good. Also if you have x11 asics I would be interested. (I don't know if they exist). I have a relatively small budget, a few hundreds to spare. Including power supply would be great.

Text my cell or send me a message on here. I prefer a sellers in Montreal, but will consider all offers.

Thanks

This thread is pissing me off. Why does anyone care if he is telling the truth?

Give him advice so we can all learn. Or don't. Anything else is noise.

It is actually laughable at how people just want to see how much coin another person has just to satisfy their curiosity. And there is no way I am posting an address because on the internet anything is hackable.

**

I have used cointrader.net a few times and I will be sticking to them. It clearly says on their site that the limit of withdrawal to a bank account is 2.5 million a week and 7 million a month. I already spoke to agents a few times and since they are in Canada I will be using them.

**

And to people that think 6 million in bitcoin is alot, well there are alot of individuals that have big amounts of coins sitting in wallets. I'm not going to disclose where we got to this amount for ourselves, but i'll just say, in 2009 when bitcoin was first released it was extremely easy and fast to accumulate 100k bitcoins.
I won't be responding anymore to this thread, and to all the people who want to get off on seeing how much bitcoins someone else has....get a life!

Its okay, I already figured out what to do. I'm going to use cointrader.net. They are Canadian based and I am in Canada. I already spoke to one of the agents there and they are advising us accordingly.

They allow 2.5 million dollars limit withdrawal a week and 7 million max a month limit.

LMAO at people asking to prove it. WHAT THE F*** DO I GET OUT OF PROVING IT. And... WHAT THE F*** DO YOU GET OUT OF ME PROVING IT?? Simple satisfaction of YOUR curiosity?? Just so you can see how much coin someone else has??

And yes when bitcoins just started one could have easily acquired 25k+ coins in a matter of a week.

My personal opinion, you should sold all those 25,000 bitcoins through cash face-to-face. Have you read the BurtW story?

I briefly read about the BurtW story. But why did he get arrested? Is it illegal to cash out huge amounts of crypto?

Localbitcoins might work, even you might have cash transactions available there...
If you don't mind, can you please share any of his address(es) out here???
We would love to see someone actually hodling such high amount of BTC in a single/different addresses...

My friend asked me to find out how to move that amount the fastest way possible. If it was me I would gladly share the address, but its not me. And I don't even think it is him that has it, maybe one of his investor friends. He is a very busy and popular real estate agent here in Montreal, Canada, so maybe it is possible that he does own that much bitcoin. I wish I had that much coin though lol. I do have almost a million Dogecoins, but hey Doge ain't worth much, I hope it jumps in value.

I'll try and see if I can share the address, btw if I share the address won't it be susceptible to hacking?

Ok thanks for your replies, I'll check out more exchanges, and localbitcoin.

if you really have that amount, you can try with circle, but it may be too big for them

on bitstamp you can dump big amount like nothing, because they have high volume, but they aren't fast at all you need verificatiom

otherwise try localbitcoin

Its not me that has this amount, I wish I did. I'm not even sure if he really does have that amount, but he would like to know how would one go about turning 25k+ into USD. Would Cryptsy support that amount. Or can he convert small amounts at a time. Bitstamp would need identity verification? And does Bitstamp send the USD to a bank account via wire transfer?

Why do I have to prove it? What's the point of that. Its a simple question. How would one go about cashing out alot of bitcoins? I don't see the need to prove it to people I don't know.

What would you all get out of seeing the amount of bitcoins someone has? What does that do for you.

Okay let me rephrase, hypothetically speaking if one were to acquire 25000 worth of bitcoins how would they go about converting it to USD?

My friend has close to 25000 bitcoins in his wallet. He wants to know the fastest way to convert them into USD. What exchanges exist that support this, if any.

Thanks for your input guys
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What should I do on: December 25, 2014, 05:15:36 PM
I am suppose to be buying 3 S1 Antminers (180 GH) for 30$ each off someone. I have the PSUs to run them.
But I am wondering if this is just a waste of money. I wanted to mine PayCoins (XPY) but the pools seem to be closed.
I looked for other Altcoins to mine but they all report on various websites that it is low profit. (Does anyone know a profitable coin to mine SHA256?)

Should I buy them? Or should I get some VPS or dedicated servers and CPU Mine a good coin that can make me profit?

I don't know what to do. It seems unless you have a ton of ASIC hashing power. A few antminer s1s (3 in total) wont be able to make much profit. And as the days go by these Asic miners become more obsolete.

I am at a standstill now. The person wants to meet in a few hours and I don't know if I should cancel or buy them.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks
