Yes, I tried several times on Wikipedia. No effect. Because I saved POW wallet's wallet.dat only a few years ago. Now restore wallet.dat to POW and you can open it. However, the input "listunspent" does not return any address. I think it's because my POW isn't synchronized. Failed to restore wallet.dat to POS wallet. POS won't open. Now is really confused. I have millions of Nobel files backed up. But I may lose them forever.
Several questions/ideas:
1. What exact error message do you get when trying to run salvagewallet?
1.1. Are you sure your wallet.dat is not damaged? Maybe you have another copy of it from backup?
1.2. Please create completely new wallet.dat using PoW wallet. Then start PoS wallet with salvegawallet option and report back what happened.
2. Months after migration to PoS was finished we used to have two blockexplorers runnning. One for PoS wallet and one for old PoW wallet. The old one is disabled now but you can contact "fairglu" who runs
https://chainz.cryptoid.info and ask if he still has copy of old blockchain? This way you could try downloading copy of old blockchain and verifying what was your final balance.
