1  Economy / Economics / Re: Tether's market cap is huge! (usdt) on: December 20, 2020, 04:58:40 PM
It's probably just something to take note of that if it isn't physically backed and we see massive volatile moves then don't trust it to peg the dollar especially if it keeps getting a higher and higher pool of funds that are thought to control it (its a shame a lot of sites use it in futures).
Honestly, I've seen a lot of statements about usdt being a enormous scam project and as far as I know they're being sued or investigated on this matter.
I won't believe it until its proven so
2  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: November 02, 2020, 09:10:01 AM
It is only natural that the value of Bitcoin is affected by USD performance, because most people who trade Bitcoin pairing with USDT
are backed by USD. So USD indirectly affects the price of Bitcoin, in fact all markets must be affected by the value of USD. But I don't
believe the USD will be worthless, because the American government will definitely take steps so that the USD will remain valuable.
Therefore, many countries use USD as a global currency, this proves that confidence in USD is so high.
Even after printing a shit ton of USD it still didn't fell down a lot, despite fact that only US citizens received stimulus check - that means all of the world got somewhat scammed because their USD holding were devalueted to some extent.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: October 05, 2020, 03:12:44 PM
When i have time i go to local market to check prices
Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
Its not the same way in other countries, but I'm pretty sure its still bad for most of the world still.
And my guess is its inevitable, because global economy is in a really poor state right now because of corona obviously.
Unfortunately,  things only get worse, so we should expect even worse economical state in the future
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: August 31, 2020, 06:38:02 AM
In 2017 I got a lot of coins like stellar and ethereum, but I didn't think to keep them, so I sold them when they were cheap, it was the stupidest thing I ever did
The second stupidest thing I did was waste my bitcoins on a gambling site.
So true, I do regret selling my eth back then in 2016-2017, that was such a waste.
I managed to let go of this sin, because its like a part of learning crypto investment basic things.
However, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for gambling the investment funds that sounds just like a terrible idea
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull run is coming? on: August 19, 2020, 01:11:44 PM
According to Binance CEO - CZ, activity on Binance exchange is higher than in December 2017. According to PlanB that created stock-to-flow model, the bull run is here, his claim is based on the value of RSI that is currently on 64 points. And the last positive claim comes from Goldstein that said that Bitcoin already has value more than $100,000 because there are statistically more people that will hold BTC to this level.  Wink
I hope that you're right and the "real" bull run is a thing to come in the nearest future.
However, I don't see how it could be a real thing, because as you already mentioned a lot of people already invested in bitcoin and I believe than new investors are the engine of the bull run of it, not holders that much.
So my expectations is when most of the possible interested people will invest in bitcoin its price will experience somewhat correction.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Korea proposes 20% tax on crypto trading starting 2021 on: August 04, 2020, 05:10:16 AM
I think Korea will put taxes through crypto exchanges. So it means every Korean crypto exchange will required KYC and that will be the basis of Korean government because they can't put taxes to individual person because cryptocurrency is decentralized and government has no control on it. It means there is a transparency between the Korean government and to all crypto exchanges on their country.
I personally don't see another option for them to implement this taxation.
Its a good thing anyway, because you pay for your crypto to be fully legal which is nice
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: July 29, 2020, 07:45:00 PM
Everyone was laughing on Ray Diallo when he said his famous phrase "cash is trash" on 2019 and they even laughed more when his hedge fund tanked 30% under water on early 2020. guess what, US stock markets are bullish again and on a stunning V-shaped recovery and Gold recently hit all time high and bitcoin of course in its way to break new price record. So, who's laughing now!. he was damn right.
USD is going down compared to EUR so he is was kinda double right I guess
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO increasing rapidly on: July 18, 2020, 02:09:23 PM
I think ICO started to increase day after day and people started to trust it,The future will goes to ICO, maybe because the low price or the new features which it provides.
now ICO is not much in demand, now investors are more interested in IEO, specially launch by popular exchanges. Even the future is changing so fast and will wait for another innovation in the crypto world
Chances are there will be much less of ico going on in nearest future, simply because of what you've just said - investors are not interested in risly fraud schemes.
However, scammers are not interested in starting and ICO knowing for a fact they won't get any money.
So I hope we'll come to the point when ico will be a normal thing to do again

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I won't bet on this on: June 28, 2020, 02:28:46 PM
We all are going to cross our finger to crypto/btc/eth grow because of these events.
But in real life we can't predict anything, so even if defi will remain bullish and paypal will release its crypto payment system like tomorrow - we still have no assurance if its going to impact price of any cryptocurrency whatsoever
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 18, 2020, 09:13:25 AM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few
No mate, there's nothing strange about it Smiley. Here are the reasons I think of:
1. Many use it over the alts simply because it is the most popular crypto. Most new users knew it first before any alts available.
2. In the eyes of investors/buyers & sellers this is the best option they think of. They are comfortable to use the Rank 1 rather than Rank N coin.
3. Not all of people know that Ethereum got a lower fees, Monero offers more security etc. That's why they use btc.
Imo you're the closest one to the truth in this thread.
Logically people should value usability the most, but they apparently value popularity the most, because this way they feel safer - if millions of people use bitcoin over altcoins, why shouldn't they and its totally natural way of thinking
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you earned in one year on: June 17, 2020, 06:12:11 PM
Perhaps we should focus on trading because it's the only way we can get money this year. Bounty is dead and not too many people get money from it, I wasted a lot of time with bounty but only received a few cents when it ended.
If we see that there are indeed many bounties that have died, but I am a little surprised when you say that the bounty is dead but still wearing the signature of the bounty, and if for trading I feel it is not only good this year, but previous years are also very good for everyone.
There are a lot of people who regret their decisions, because they've lost some profit and after X years they look back and see how much more they could make.
So when market was in disturbance couple years earlier - some of us decided to trade, others were bounting.
Some of bounters are not pleased with their profits now so they decide to trade in current commotion.
I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who are thinking that bounties are great right now and starting to do it at the moment
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: June 01, 2020, 07:42:03 AM
maybe yes maybe not, because the volume of coin transactions is determined by market demand, if investors start switching to invest in BNB it is clear that BNB will be superior to ETH, but for now ETH is still far superior because many platforms have collaborated with ETH.
And finally, what is your opinion? Make it clear. Personally, I believe that BNB will never be able to surpass ETH in this market, the price of BNB will never go through ETH because both are so far away.
but the question wasn't about BNB vs ETH exactly.
Its about Binance and Ethereum as two big crypto companies who leads current alt market.
I do agree with you on bnb and eth price race, eth is an obvious favorite.
However Binance as a company has a chance to overcome Ethereum
14  Economy / Economics / Re: US is so poor that president trump constantly attack China. on: May 19, 2020, 06:13:00 AM
^China is a tax free country for income group $520 to $745
Please use after tax income to calculate.
In China $745 is the take home income and zero taxation. China has too much money surplus they don’t need tax to fund the government operation.
China is a communist country, everybody is equal, nobody can be too wealthy, government can confiscated all the money and execute anybody who is unreasonably wealthy, sad to say this but it’s completely oppose to capitalism, it’s a crime to be ultra-rich in China. And yeah all the US ultra wealthy government officials will not survive in China without getting executed, you better be very scared to come to China.

In US, low income poor people paid the most in tax while rich people pay zero tax. In China, big business rich people pay the most in tax while poor people pay zero tax.
You are right about US being one of the most capitalistic countries and about China being almost the complete opposite of it, the communist country.
However, I don't understand what it has to do with "be very scared to come to China" which is nonsense, it is still a country with open borders.
And I would like to inform you - US taxes are based on % of your income, so no matter what your salary/profit is you are going to pay some percentage from it.
Its not like every person is paying $100 every month because, as you said, this would lead to poor people paying the most in tax.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining: Halving will destroy the half of us. on: May 05, 2020, 05:44:46 AM
This will cause even higher mining centralization unfortunately
yeah exactly. we'll meet china as a world's metropolis of mining and that is extremely sad and makes bitcoin partially pointless
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 30, 2020, 10:13:22 AM
The topic should be moved to
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php? board=67.0
Top altcoins? Like from the top 100? Top 50? Or what. The top altcoins are no benchmark for your safety.
that's right. they're volatile like any other altcoin, but has less potential to grow faster rather than fresh altcoin.
moreover, the guy seem not to do any research upon his words so can't believe him really

18  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: April 01, 2020, 05:41:28 AM
I think this crisis will ended soon because China have announce for Wuhan region will back normally and their people there have out and get activities like usually, I think with other country will back soon and get normal activities every time. Now we are waiting with bitcoin and altcoin when back to higher price.
I believe that everything will depend on how the most developed countries cope with the epidemic. China has introduced very stringent restrictive measures for its citizens through the military and face recognition systems. This led to a very rapid localization of the virus and its elimination with the help of hospitals. On the example of Italy, we can see that countries are not ready for something like China.
I think it is not that the countries are not ready to do something like China but China started early enough to start the fight without waiting or procrastinating about it. This was how they were able to curtail it.
But the point is - every country will suffer a lot from current event.
Current economy system does not stand any pause or slow tempo.
Even if we live through this phase without big default - we'll have to fight aftermaths for several months
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is India Crypto Market Flashing Bull Run on: March 22, 2020, 11:26:53 AM
The Supreme Court of India passed a rule to remove the restrictions from crypto trading companies as the Court cited there was no evidence that crypto trading could cause any tangible harm to the nation. Binance and WazirX as the two have declared to provide funds valued at $50M to support the development of blockchain technology in the country.
Binance is a big exchange and it is never taken any wrong decision till now. WazirX is a big Indian exchange and acqurieng it might turn out to be beneficial for Binance. India is know for its software development and when you have so many local talents available why not utilise it for the future technology. Blockchain is the future and Binance is investing in the right direction.
I'm a little bit concerned on wazirX, but hey who are we to decide if binance's decisions are wrong.
the time will show who was right all the way and it seems like binance proved they did most things right way
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Now Fully Legal in South Korea on: March 10, 2020, 09:22:34 AM
It is really good but on the other hand, the regulation may restrict the freedom of crypto, KYC will be required in any situations
it may, but take in account that other countries will come up with their own regulations (French court admitted crypto's legality also)
anyway crypto is not living in some country it is online and will remain there - you can always get around laws of countries with it (however it not welcomed here).
