Hey,

I'm sure you're aware already, but http://nobl.pool.mn isn't pointing at anything (standard apache It Works!), http://nob.pool.mn seems to be the correct URI at the moment Wink

https://noble.pool-mining.com/ scammed me, website broke, THERE WAS NO WAY TO MANUALLY PAY OUT!

This issue is being looked into. How long has the website been down?

about 4-5 hours now. I had exactly 1980 noble sitting in there that I couldn't pay out, set it to 1000 to auto pay out, never did, now front end is down. Rather disappoint. Also, they had it setup so there was NO WAY to manually pay out! Never seen that before. The entire div was missing.

Ok thanks for the input waiting on a response from pool.
Thanks a lot

Hey guys,

No scam here, but let me give you a little update.

The SQL cluster fell over at roughly 00:05 and didn't auto recover. As I was sleeping, I didn't notice. No mails were sent to our support address, so my phone didn't ring to alert me either.

Upon waking up this morning, I noticed the issue and manually restarted the MySQL cluster.

Manual payments were switched off around a week ago. We had far too many users using the service as a wallet, and some had very HIGH Noble amounts sitting there. We have no no plans to switch it back on, setting up autopayments should be one of the first things you do on any pool. Although we take every possible precaution, the safest place for your NOBLE is your wallet, not ours. (One member had a wallet of almost 450,000 NOBLE before we stopped manual payments. Hopefully you can understand why we took the decision)

@Lykkan, your 1990 Noble is still sat there for you, though it seems that before the MySQL issue you'd set your account to 0 autopayment - which turns it off. (Perhaps trying to get manual payments back?) I'd recommend setting it to something a little higher (literally, anything 1 NOBLE or Higher will work). I've checked your account, all previous payouts have worked fine, and since restarting everything we've processed another few dozen.

We're not here to scam anyone. With the 1% fee, we're making enough to pay for the servers, which is all we're after, and with removing Manual Payments, our pool wallet is less than a weeks fee. Essentially, we make more by being legit, than by stealing from you - a lot more.

I'm going to work on a better monitoring system that will automatically alert me to issues like this, so that downtime isn't so long. This is our first major downtime, and I apologise.

If anyone has any issues with the pool, we recommend emailing support, tweeting us, or sending a PM to us. It's in our interest to get everything fixed as soon as we can.

The pools are stuck from last night on block 24. they probably haven't updated the Genesis block info
which was reset by the DEV

Both pools were reporting the correct block when I last checked...

I'm not sure about cryptopool, but we were having problems submitting blocks to the network, even after fully recompiling the source. This is why we decided to remove support for the coin.

As I said before, it may have been something with the configuration of the pool, but it's just strange that the same (looking) issue should appear for both.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][CCC] CancerCureCoin - First solely charitable coin- Cancer Research on: February 07, 2014, 12:48:21 PM
Not sure the pool is working though.... It hasn't found a block

Everything looked OK, but it now seems that all blocks we submit are being rejected by the network.

This may be a pool setting, but given that the two pools currently "live" with the coin haven't found a block, yet should have found around 15, doesn't suggest that.

Unfortunately we've spent a lot of time, and goodwill in trying to support this coin, but effective as of this post Pool-Mining.com will not be supporting CCC.

We appreciate several miners have "wasted" several hours on our pool fruitlessly mining, and should you join one of our other pools (noble would be a good choice if you're wanting to support charities) we'll set your fee's to 0% for life as a gesture of goodwill. Simply send us a support ticket with the request.

Now that the issues with the coin setup seem to be resolved, we have reopened pool-mining.com's stratum server for this coin.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][CCC] CancerCureCoin - First solely charitable coin- Cancer Research on: February 06, 2014, 10:33:15 PM
There seems to be a problem with the Coin code, I don't believe a genesis block was created, and the code which sends the 5% to the coin owner seems to be broken.

Code:
2014-02-06 22:26:25 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock
2014-02-06 22:26:25 ERROR: ConnectBlock() : coinbase does not pay to the charity in the first output)
...
2014-02-06 22:26:25 ERROR: AcceptBlock() : AddToBlockIndex failed
2014-02-06 22:26:25 ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED

Pool-Mining.com stratum has been disabled so as not to waste any user hash on this coin for the time being, hopefully our users had backups setup for other coins in their mining scripts - if not, I advise them now to look at a different coin for the time being.

Noble coin for example is also a charitable coin, one with a proven and transparent record over the last 3 weeks.

We wont be committing to a timeframe for re-adding this coin at this time.

No pool working? Is it just me?

Can confirm the Pool-Mining.com is fine, no DT showing in the logs at all :/

So, I noticed a couple things:

Block Maturity seems to be 50 blocks, not 30.
Spent confirmations are 6 blocks (not mentioned?)
I'm not 100% convinced on Diff changes either, but I really don't want to go through 120 blocks to see Wink

We've also gone and added a simple block crawler to the site, so you can see what all those geeky details about a block that we all love. You can get to it by clicking the Block height from the Block page, or by clicking on a Transaction ID from your Control Panels Transaction screen.

OK,

Sorry for all the issue Wink

If someone who was unable to login before could give it a try now that'd be awesome. It looks like it's working OK on my dev machine, but it looked that way to begin with.

Speed should be up to par now too.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]BURBUCOIN ▓▓▒▒░░ NEW CURRENCY ▓▓▒▒░░ EXCHANGE AVAILABLE ▓▓▒▒░░ on: February 03, 2014, 05:38:29 PM
nop, I can not login ... and no email for validating ...

OK, I'm looking into this now.

Ok, the first account, after a few minutes, I can login now.  However. there is not any confirm message ...

I've turned off email confirmation of signup, so that's normal.

However, as to why login aren't working ... I'm on it now. Looks like it could be related to cookies - though all my browsers are signing up and logging in just fine, even ones logged into other pools - so this needs more testing.

The speed issues I'll look at after fixing the login issues, it's probably something I haven't setup correctly in the caching.

There will be some tweaks to the stratum server over the next 24 hours, as it's a new coin for us, so expect the odd lost share.

same problem here.

With my mac i can login without problems, but with windows os nothing happened.

take a look into trash folder, there will be a validation message

This seems like the most likely case, if someone can confirm, that'd be great.

Why are two of the biggest pools down simultaniously?

I don't know about Valid-Error specifically, but Pool-Mining.com is currently experiencing a very high load on our stratum servers. We're bringing more up to compensate, but some miners may get some errors as they switch between overloaded stratum servers and the new ones.

the store is open for anyone to sell anything (as long as its legal), with no fee!
Why did you have to add that Tongue

I too got quite excited until those pesky brackets appeared from nowhere

noble.pool-mining.com

With the massive increase in Net Hash, which our pool has followed but not matched, we're finding fewer blocks per hour than required to meet our server costs - even with worker donations. This means that, regrettably, we're having to reintroduce our 1% pool fee.

Obviously, we'll continue to watch the situation closely and will remove the fee just as soon as possible.

However, the pool carries on:

  • noble.pool-mining.com
  • PPLNS
  • VARDIFF (with CPU friendly minimums)
  • Auto Payout as little as 1 Noble
  • 1% pool fee
  • Fully load balanced and auto scaling servers, giving you the best latency possible at all times.

Hopefully those who are currently mining with us will continue to do so, we're not going anywhere - and we hope you'll agree that the pool speed is worth that little 1% fee.

Thanks
