What if I buy a cheap 360M/H for $30 and use it to mine alt coins?
What altcoin should I mine and what pool should I use?

5  Other / Beginners & Help / So I'm currently trying to mine my cpu on my laptop. on: January 08, 2014, 01:24:44 AM
I'm only getting around 1500 kHASH/s the only reason I'm doing this is to familiarize myself with how mining pools work. Do you think this is enough to make .00001 BTC if I mine for a whole day?
PS I'm also mining a tablet only gets around 600 kHASH/s but if it's the same worker it should contribute shouldn't it?
6  Other / Beginners & Help / I'm looking to spend about $400 on mining hardware on: January 07, 2014, 09:50:00 PM
I'm new but I know I can do better than 5 or 10 G/H
also what will I need to run a piece of mining hardware is it USB? I only have a laptop sooo...
thank you very much for answering my question  Cheesy

here is a list of coins you can mine and how much / day to expect with 336 mhash/s
http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sha256HashRate=336&sha256Power=500.00&sha256PowerCost=0.1000&scryptHashRate=14.00&scryptPower=500.00&scryptPowerCost=0.1000&sha256Check=true&scryptCheck=false
1600 khash won't do much on any SHA-256 coin i know of
there are other coins more suitable for cpu-mining (primecoin, securecoin etc), just search altcoin forum
So would this device be worth it?

So I tried mining my cpu at 1600kHASH and I got nothing out of it. I'm on slushes pool and nothing is happening. I just bought a USB mining device that gets 336MH/s will this make a difference? I can cancel the order still. Are there any other products that I can break even on?
