Hey,
Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:
- I initially invested around $3000 just over a year ago in crypto, which is now currently worth about $1000 (2/3rd loss). I've written this off/left it and am a firm believer the market will one day recover, be it short or long term.
- I then stopped investing early this year.
- I now have opportunity to save/invest $1000 each month (after all my bills and everything are paid for).
- I have $5000 saved in cash as emergency in case I need it.
How would you invest the $1000? Or would you just save it all, or only invest a bit of it each month based on market behaviour? What coins are good to look into investing slowly, with the belief they'll give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run?
You do know that all cryptocurrencies usually go same direction with Bitcoin (not really, but mostly they do), so wouldn’t it be best for you to divide the $1000 and invest a part of it in something that will also yield you income and then invest the remaining in cryptocurrency, maybe Bitcoin, Stellar and XRP or any coins you decide to choose? Why I said this is in case crypto fails you, you will still have something else to rely on. |

Unfortunately, it is ok in the current market conditions that tokens are traded below the ICO price. If the project held a Bounty campaign, one of the reasons of the price dump is selling by Bounty hunters.
You mean running a bounty program is not good for a project ? I do not think so. Because I have seen many bounty hunters are holding their rewards for years if they believe that project is having good future. I mean to say the devs must give enough proof for future development then no one will prefer going for dumping their rewards. Only when there will be no enough evidence about future developments, how we can expect the holders not dumping out. |

In my opinion, they are thinking like that because they dont have the knowledge about our modern technologies today, most of the people who are criticizing cryptocurrency are those people who are old enough that they cannot understand how to operate a simple ipad, so they literally dont have a clue about the way our system is going.
But, a currency system must work in a way that should be simple to understand for any age people. The reason you have mentioned alone not enforcing why people still sticking with paper money. Lots of other factors like basic infrastructures are big hurdle for them for pushing to stick within paper money. |

It is true that people come to gambling site for the purpose of money making but we need money to bet on the gambling sites which may tempt the people to do crimes to get that money and even when they are addicted they can do anything to gamble but it is very rare case thoug. Crime is the side effect of gambling even though not every gamblers will commit crime to fulfill their gambling habits. For those who already addicted to gambling and have no more money to satisfy his addiction, they are susceptible to do crime. I admit that every gambler is not criminal but as gambling is not assumes positive therefore people stitch evil things with gambling and it is a fact that gambler especially in my community doesn’t have any respect and all the people keep distance from a gambler. Many gamblers become criminals too when they are gambling addicted and that is the reason that crime is assumed as part of gambling. |

There are a lot of chances that people can gamble, like when you try a drinking game, where you watch a movie, and you are going to drink when that character do a specific thing or something like that. I have done that, and it's entertaining but it's not that common to do anymore
I have a lot of multiplayer games in my PS4, like Tekken, UFC, Injustice, etc. My friends and I don't go to competitions, but we make our own, we start betting stuff or sometimes just money with whoever who wins the bracket.

Hey yes I used to do it with my friends and sometimes with total strangers, we used to play counter strike back then and sometimes we gambled within our inner circle, and at times when we met new people we pitched them the idea and they joined in. When we were indoors we used to gamble on Fifa games on ps2 and Ps3, but those was back in the past now we stick to sports or casino bets. As for the money we made I won't call it a fortune, let's just say extra income to keep one going. I always play dice and poker games for gambling. I think these two are simple games for gambling. Mostly I play dice game because it needs no experience and depends on luck only. Game time is also short and you can play many games in very short time. Poker takes some time and also needs experience because of bluffing. Good bluffer can win the game easily. |

I think we can make a profit in this bear market because I see that there is a good coin that can increase although not too high. But still it's difficult to get which coin will increase, and we can find that coin in the market. Sometimes we can make a profit by coincidence because maybe we buy the wrong coin, but suddenly, that coin can increase higher.
I am not making money because I have no trading experience. Now I am getting knowledge and experience of crypto trading, but I think that a skilled and well experienced trader can make money even in this bearish situation of the market. It is not that you will not be able to find any success in gambling but there are a lot of times that a lot of gamblers lost a lot of money in this industry. There are a lot of addicted gamblers that lost a lot of money to it but still they kept on gambling. We know that there are a lot of tournaments online that we can see and watch and we know that there are a lot of times that they can see that they won, not only hundred thousands but we are talking about millions sometimes tens of millions, so we can conclude that we can win or find success through gambling. I have also seen some people who have succeeded in gambling in many places I have met. Getting success in gambling can still be achieved but not everyone is able to reach it, including me. But if the percentage of people who are successful and failed in gambling is presented, then I also feel that more people will fail and be frustrated in gambling. So gambling is not entirely people will go bankrupt, because there are still people who are able to get success in gambling. Yeah I have seen success in gambling for many times but not permanently. I succeed in gambling but the next moment I fail again and lose all the money back. You can say that it is not success; yes I admit that it is not success but I am waiting for big hand in gambling and then will quit it forever, because I don’t gamble regularly and it is easy for me to quit gambling anytime. |

Greed is the major reason why newbies lose money in trading and if the professional are finding difficult to make 12% in a year what make you think you will be able to make 100% a month as a newbies.

Even if the cryptocurrency are very popular, but we can not totally replace fiat currencies ,beccause cryptocurrency has limitations of places where it is to used where there is internet access , it can not ve used to places where there is no internet access ,so fiat is still can be used as medium of exchange.
Yeah you are right but I think that if the government accept cryptocurrency and legalize it they can control it and also 20se it for their transactions. In the future I think there would be no need for fiat currency. You're absolutely right!Many of us don't want to try its because of were afraid that after we try maybe it will end up into failing but as what you have said its good to try without thinking and asking questions so that you will know what will be the result and its up to you if you are going to accept it as a knowledge and experience. I also told many people in this forum that if they are serious in crypto investment they should take a step and don’t ask too many questions to invest or not, which coins is better for investment, I should wait or buy and so on. Such people do not make any investment; just want to collect views of different people about his topic. I was serious about my investment and asked nobody to invest or not. |

Today evening, I was spending some free time by surfing various websites. Suddenly a website caught my attention which talks about the benefits of gambling. I was surprised because negative thoughts about gambling is so common, but positive thoughts are rare to find. So I went ahead and read the entire article. The article actually talks about the positive sides of gambling which I believe everyone should know and it made a lot of sense to me!
When we say gambling, it is easily judged and have a negativity impact in so many people. I am also a gambler. I like this thread because what you have said is true. But those things are not buried because of so many negative things regarding gambling. I hope this open the eyes of most people. It is not the gambling itself that is bad, it is the person that abbuse gambling. Well it's gotten that reputation with how many lives that irresponsible gambling ruined. Families, careers, these are affected mostly in a negative way by addicts. That's why the positive effects are mostly overlooked. Well I believed that in every situation/thing has its own benefits that is positive. Due to gambling we forget why we enter in casino, you bad vibes fades away because of people around you. You meet new set of people, it helps you to become more strategic in playing. I also think that if you are good in math you can think about the probabilities to use for some specific games like dice, cards etc that will help you to win. All your thoughts about gambling are false and there is no truth in it. Gambling itself is bad thing and when somebody become addicted of gambling he also becomes a bad person of a society. Most people of his community keep distance from him because of gambling addiction. In my view gambling is the mother of almost all crimes and you are depending gambling here. I don’t think that what you mentioned here are the benefits of gambling. New set of people, new ideas, new casino, new gambling planes. These are all nonsense. You mentioned these things as benefits of gambling because there are no good benefits of gambling and nobody can explain any benefit of gambling which is good for the people around him. Bitcoin has been trap below $10,000 for long that any little price movement people just will take profits. Because of taken little profits it will be very difficult to see bitcoin go to $50,000 as predicted. However, it is still possible. Who predicted this nonsense? The current situation tells that the price will not increase more from that of today. There is no more investment how the price will increase. When you people put your money in bitcoin then you should tell your desirable price in the future. People are withdrawing their money or converting to Altcoin and you say that it will reach to $50k till December. |
