1  Other / Beginners & Help / bes/antminer voltage regulator on: January 08, 2014, 06:11:35 AM
I have a block erupter and am ordering an antminer u1 to play with. After looking over the specs and reading threads on them, it looks like the voltage regulator needs to be replaced to do any serious overclocking.

The voltage regulator on both (I believe) is the AOZ1021AI and is rated at 3 amps. I was wondering if anybody knows of a drop in 5 amp or higher replacement? Or would my best bet be to solder a pin header to the board and use a regulator with a different pinout but the same pin definitions (ie: AOZ1094AI)?

Any help would be appreciated as I haven't been able to find a true drop in replacement as of yet.
