3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Did you think ICO is necessary? on: September 18, 2018, 08:08:34 AM
Irrespective of problems encountered by crypto enthusiasts like fake icos, scammers and delay. I think ICO plays an important rule in execution of sound projects. So Without ICO, most coins  find it difficult to raise funds to execute their project. Without ICO, coins or projects will find it difficult to advertise their project, without  ICO, projects will find it difficult to reach the right audience, Etc.therefore I believe in ICO because it enable me to research, analyst and evaluate the potentials of that project. Do you also believe in ICO?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is exchange? on: September 18, 2018, 07:33:57 AM
Adding those wallet addresses is to enable users trade with the coin. The only key required is your 2FA.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: September 18, 2018, 07:29:56 AM
I believe altcoins will meaningful or solving real life issue will surely live up to expectations. That is to say altcoins with high potentials, delivery what we need in our day o day activities will survive while altcoins with less or no issue to solve will either merge with others or not survive.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest and most reliable altcoin? on: September 17, 2018, 07:42:48 PM
It's difficult to predict coins and their reliability therefore do your homework yourself. They are a lot of coins with great potentials. If you rely check their white paper to ascertain the purpose of creating that coin, then you decides on either investing or not.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 17, 2018, 07:32:56 PM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?
Some are doing well while some are doing poor. So don't trust ICO rating sites. Just do your finding before investing.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any future for crypto? on: September 17, 2018, 07:25:54 PM
Hearing numerous complaints of some investors has brought fear to me and a few fellows. People like me that have high interest in crypto ecosystem  will want to hear your contributions if truly crypto will flourish again or we should turn attention to something else. So the questions is what is the future of crypto in the next ten years? Or can crypto survive the next ten years?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: September 16, 2018, 04:22:25 PM
Bitcoin has many competitors yes!!! I think it will very difficult for another coin to replace it because of it uniqueness and purpose it was created to served. Which is public means of cryptocurrencies transaction ledger, it a digital currency.
11  Other / Off-topic / Why did you have faith in btc? on: September 16, 2018, 04:12:40 PM
Seeing btc going down for quite some time now, I thought people will be withdrawing their investment to shares and others business. But it amaze that btc is gaining more popularity and people are still rushing btc. What is the secret behind btc?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: September 16, 2018, 04:04:55 PM
Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...
Most ICO are just hype, while some finds it difficult to reach soft cap on that note back out of the project.
This reasons many bounties hunters regard ICO to be scam.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: September 16, 2018, 03:59:05 PM
Its because sound projects are cheap during ICO, so it create a platform for people to make money. Secondly most altcoins are solving meaningful real life issue.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: September 16, 2018, 03:56:09 PM
Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

When joined crypto Dogecoin was among the altcoins I love but from studies and lack of updating or improving new version has caused me to withdrawn my faith in the coin. I think there are working on improving new ideas.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 16, 2018, 03:30:51 PM
Honestly most altcoins are not solving any real life issue, so who did you think will want to invest on projects that has nothing to solve. Such token might surely scratch out.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can any analysis predict btc price for the next month? on: September 16, 2018, 03:11:33 PM
I know once btc jump, altcoins does same.

then you know WRONG.
because i can give you at least a dozen examples in the past 3 years that bitcoin went up but altcoins actually dropped down. some of them had big dumps because of it!

Quote
So the question is can anyone predict the price of btc for the next month? To enable me invest...
all i can suggest is that you should never make investment plans like this! like investing in altcoins because bitcoin is going up! that is like suicide.
only invest in an altcoin if you that altcoin is rising not something else!
Nice one from you. A last I can go on to analysis and buy without waiting for btc to rise. Rather consider altcoins with high potentials.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: September 15, 2018, 06:51:59 PM
Many coins with great potentials are already on board but none can supersede KING BTC. For now btc remains the head.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins You Think will Grow on: September 15, 2018, 06:44:41 PM
