Bitcoin forks will die sooner or later. As we see it, they are just taking advantage of the name and hoping for newbies to jump on it. Only BCH has some potential and can survive in the long term as it was the first major BTC fork and actually had some changes from the original. All other are just hoping for any media attention and hype because of their association with Bitcoin and you should stay away from them or only consider them for the very short term trading.

PIVX can be a major player in the near future. With the implementation of Masternodes they can become a strong competitors for DASH. PIVX are currently the second coin by daily volume among the masternode coins (second only to DASH) and with the constant improvements they are making, if they can manage to stay on the right track they can become a major player in 2019-2020. It's risky investment but if you have read enough on the topic and believe in the project, it's a good opportunity to invest in it.

For a short term EOS would be the better choice as their main launch is happening right now. If everything goes smoothly the price may rise drastically in the following weeks, but it's still risky. ETH would be better for the long term as they have many plans for the near and not so near future as they need to protect their number 1 spot with strong competitors, such as EOS and NEO. All 3 coins would be good for the long term as they keep constantly improve their product. With strong competition no one has time to relax even for a second and they will keep pushing each other further.

At the current state, cryptocurrency is used solely for making profit and is treated as asset. When all the hype lowers and the market balances, we will be able to use it for its original purposes. It didn't go mainstream too early but the sooner people stop using it for making profit the better for the whole world and our future.

The perfect would be to combine both. BTC is the most stable cryptocurrency out there so it's less risky, but if you are looking for bigger and faster gains you should consider investing in an ICO. The problem is that more than 90% of the ICOs are either a scam or ar runned by unprepared people. You should spend a lot of time reading and researching before investing in an ICO and you should look for things such as the team, the project itself, the competition, the roadmap etc in order to find an ICO with future.

ETH should be perfect for long term hold. With the level of competition they face right now they can't affor to relax and will constantly improve their product and the price of ETH should go up as well. Strong competition is good for the market and the users themselves and in our opinion you should buy ETH, EOS , NEO and whatever more you feel like and wait for them to stretch each other to their limits.

With all the scammers in the crypto world it's never worth risking in an anonymous project. With still no regulations and a way to get your money back in case of fraud it's not wise to invest anything in a project whith anonymous team. Also when the team is well known you could decide for yourself if the people behing an ICO have enough expirience in the field an thus have faith in them and invest your money with them.

Focus on coins/tokens with upcoming major updates or implementations. Change in the concensus algorithm, moving to own platform, implementing new features - all these things, if the happen properly can lead to a huge rise in price. It's a little bit of a gamble because with every new thing problems and setbacks can accure. Also people might buy the coin/token for the same reason and try to sell it for profit after the changes so you should wait some time to see the direction in which the price is going. Hope this helps and best of luck, guys !

The key factor is mass adoption. The more possibilities you have to buy something with your coin - the better. Features such as privacy, scalability etc are also important, but what's the point of having private coin with transaction speed ot 5000-10000 tps when you can't use it anywhere. Whoever gets the biggest part of the market will win the war.
