What details? Daemon was shut down for 3 days, started - no sync for hours. Deleted blockchain, resync - all is fine by magic. Until blockchain bloat&problems are solved long term future for cryptonight is not good
PS: And having daemon which sucks GB ram and lots of cpu&bandwidth running 24/7 is unacceptable
Details would include things like your operating system, CPU/RAM/available disk space, what errors show up in the daemon window (if any). Your next step would be to check if there is an open github issue for the problem you're facing, and if not you should open one: https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/issuesAt the end of the day, this is an open-source project that is in very early alpha stages, and you are most welcome to fix the problems you've described and submit your code via a pull-request. Win 7 x64, 8gb ram, i5-2500@3.3, >50GB disk space available. Errors were simply - finding that block X is orphaned, resync, Block X is orphaned... After redownloading blockchain from post 1 it resynced for 5 minutes. But downloading 3 times in a month 1.5GB blockchain is not good . I always close the daemon after save with exit...and when I started it actually moved several hundred blocks ahead before entering orphan loop This time I won't delete downloaded blockchain . I had once a similar problem and solved it due to deleting p2pstate.bin and poolstate.bin in appdata/roaming/bitmonero. But im not realy the tech-guy so only try on your own risk. Maybe a dev can answer if this action could solve your problem.

hey guys i need your help.
I wanted to test this coin and have mined a couple of moneros to two different adresses. I used two different pools, and on this pools i can also see the paid amount. But on my wallet the balance is still zero. I tried cryptonote wallet and simplewallet in different versions.
Furthermore im not sure if the blockchain is downloaded sucessfully, cryptonote wallet downloaded the blockchain a couple of hours and is now saying "ready" but i dont know how to check that.
Any ideas of what i have done wrong ?
People seems to be screwing up the initial wallet sync... like I did the first time. Here is the excellent QCN readme.txt... MRO is same procedure. http://textuploader.com/9f0yOpen your FIRST command window, go to MRO directory... And do Step #1... run daemon and fully synchronize blockchain... Type "save" and *** do nothing else ***. Keep daemon running in Window #1. Open up a SECOND command window, go to the MRO directory... And do Step #2... Just type "simplewallet"... it will prompt you for wallet name and password... Now with the daemon still running... type "refresh". Your wallet should spend about 60 seconds cycling though a bunch of numbers and synching. If you screw up this part... your wallet will not work. If all this fails just buy Quark... Or scout your area for bridges to jump from... A good rule of thumb is about 10 stories high... You want to be approaching escape velocity when to hit the water. Thank you, it worked out perfectly. No need for a bridge

Just buy and hold. Mining isnt worthwile anymore. But mention that there is always a risk, so only spent that much you could afford to lose.

You should just buy some btc on one of the big exchanges like bitstamp, btc-e, mt.gox maybe kraken or whatever and just hodl. But only spent that much money that you can afford to lose, there is always a risk.
As you already mentioned yourself mining btc isnt profitable anymore, maybe mining some altcoins with your currently gpu and change them into btc can be worth while.
Also i dont think this free btc sites are worth the time you have to spent for it, but im not realy in that kind of earning btcs.

1) Android
2) Galaxy S3 LTE
3) Litecoin Widget to check prices, most exchanges are listed and it also supports bitcoin and some altcoins
