Just been reading

ETF inflows 13 consecutive days of inflows
Max amounts taken of kraken….

Price will follow

Are you talking about fiat ?

Can you even send coins to these ETF platforms, I guess not ?

About shitcoins, I'm wondering if BTC and ETH ETFs don't hurt them in the end (except ETH) ?

Who is going to launch an ETF for any other coin ?

+5500$ in 24h nice

Looks like I was right about the inverse head and shoulder formation. Man, if I did leverage trading right now... I would probably not have Bitcoin anymore. Because leverage trading is gambling.

Two immature plants?
Then it was either a moron or a teenager (or both).

Oh well, it was a fun little experiment while it lasted. Can't have anything nice around kids. Grin

I feel very lucky that in the couple of months I did this I managed to not lose (and not gain). On the exchange fees went down the more you traded, one month I traded more than 1 million $. And made nothing, the exchange made thousands...

After that I thought better of it.

Good that such a cunt is being rebuked.

Observing 68k+

All in a good day's work of no working as it's a holiday.

About inflows into ETFs, maybe look at regular markets ? We got good quarterly reports, so maybe people skimmed off profits and put them into BTC. Or sold in May, go away...into BTC.

We have the pushup challenge going on... You could start out with 30 per day..  3 sets of 10 or some other manageable way of getting in some exercise as we are planning for $100k (as an intermediary bump in the road to higher BTC price statuses)

100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge

I'm definitely not doing that (I can't) but I bought a sturdy, magnetic self powered exercise bike that gives out calories spent and I was already trying (since a few days) to spend at least 100 calories a day on it. It's not that much but it's a start, once it's achieved and sustained I will increase it.

Also it wasn't planned but today (day off) I helped my mother cutting some trees in the garden with a small chainsaw and by the end of it my arms hurt but I could feel my muscles in a good way so I'm motivated to get the dumbbells out !

I didn't notice that the 200 WMA for BTC is over 30K, almost 35K, that's nice.

It is not really in unusual territories, and it is currently going up at about a pace of 42% annualized (about $40 per day currently)... That is neither outrageous nor whimpy.. .... and yeah also currently the spot price is right around 85% higher than the 200-WMA.    You can see current or historical dates for the 200-WMA as compared to the BTC spot price here : https://bitcoindata.science/withdrawal-strategy

Good link thanks.

Yeah it's good but I'm too fat, I needed to lose weight first then that would have been good, regular exercise, especially since my boss goes down 5-6 times a day for coffee+cigar so I would go with him (minus the cigar).

I didn't notice that the 200 WMA for BTC is over 30K, almost 35K, that's nice.

He needed to pay for that coffee real quick.

i know the feeling. i cant climb a flight of stairs without stopping for coffee halfway up. coffee is important.

When I got my job 10 years ago I had the coffee machine next to me, just had to turn around on my chair to get one. Only downside is I had to make coffee for colleagues in the same room.

Few years ago I changed office and now the coffee machine is 2 levels down, with no elevator...big problem. End of the year we move and we'll have a café at the same level as the office, a perk to compensate for moving us far from our current location...

For the past four years I've played the green card lottery. For a French citizen like me there is about a 1% chance of winning. So these last two weeks I was a bit on the edge, even if 1% is not much. And indeed I lost again.

Anyone from the US wants to marry me ? :d

I didn't know CZ was still negotiating and could get jailed, the news surprised me. The sentence is very mild though, are we thinking the US government wants to make Binance more legit/use it in some way ?

Funny how the price has now stabilized.

I'm all for spending crypto for day to day items but clearly BTC is not made for that. BTC is your savings account.

Finally

"Grayscale Reveals 0.15% Fees For Its Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF"

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2024/04/20/grayscale-reveals-015-fees-for-its-bitcoin-mini-trust-etf/

Lol going from 1,5% fee to 0,15% on a mini

and
Quote
The filing also provides an illustrative example of the amount of Bitcoin (BTC) Grayscale will contribute to the mini fund: 63,204 bitcoin, or 10% of existing assets in GBTC, as per the filing.

Also lol, GBTC currently holds about BTC304k so 63.204 would represent 20% of existing assets. So for GBTC holders 80% @ 1,5%fee, and 20% @ 0,15%fee would still put you at 1,23% overall

Edit: Or to look at it from another angle, they would still have BTC241k (BTC304k - BTC63k) waiting to be liquidated...

Sorry, but it is irrelevant as you don't know the future trajectory of mini.
Example: it could trade at a premium and since GBTC trades with no discount, you still come out ahead. For example, ibit trades between 0.84% discount and 0.98% premium. Same for FBTC.
That's almost 2% range. I know...the snickering must continue regardless of facts, lol.
However, ask yourself: how relevant is this when we go up/down 5% a day?

From what I understand from the link, it's mainly a way to keep customers happy, who are "stuck" in the Grayscale environment if they don't want to pay a lot of taxes.

I bought miners back in 2017 and BTC crashed and it didn't make sense to even start them so I offloaded them at a huge loss, so I understand the possible difficulties. But I mean if you were mining 6 months ago I don't see what is worse now.

Yeah you're right about the media, well about subjects like this I don't even think it's malice, they just don't care enough to know what they're talking about. I'm knowledgeable in aviation, as an amateur but talking to professionals etc., and it's always funny to hear about the Boeing 787 MAX (doesn't exist) or the Airbus 747...

Happy halving day !

I thought I could stay awake for it but there was no way, I'm getting old. I see it happened at about 4am local time.

These last days many articles were written, Bitcoin got talked about on radio etc. (well, the business radio I'm listening to already has a crypto program so not a big difference), and I heard several times about miners being concerned, some quitting etc.

I don't understand how the situation is now worse for them than a few months ago when they earned twice the BTC, but its fiat price was half what it is now. Can someone explain ?

Weak hands.

I have closed a bank account I didn't have online access to (long story), the branch was 500Km away so it wasn't practical to keep it, and I planned to used a bit of the money to buy dips/DCA, unfortunately it's almost a month and the money isn't there yet, they legally have 30 days and it seems they will keep my money as long as possible...

I traveled to see a total eclipse once, from my vacations in Brittany to Portsmouth via ferry, in 1999.

Unfortunately the UK weather being what it is, even in summer, there was a total cloud cover. We saw everything darkening but no real night because of the clouds.

About selling BTC "high" then 10 years later it was low after all, one way to mitigate this is to play with BTC's volatility and sell more than what you need, keeping half of the fiat to buy back lower.

But clearly don't sell big amounts relative to your stash unless it's life and death I'd say. Luxuries are for when you're rich.

Yeah China's policies in general are a mess but the ones around BTC are even messier...
