1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Ripple on: July 04, 2018, 12:50:12 PM
Ripple is older than Bitcoin, what not many people know. It was based on another algorythm but the idea was there first. After Bitcoin revealed itself the authors merged Ripple soft with blockchain verification protocol to prevent double spending which was the biggest issue. To be honest, its a nice piece of thech but even the banks involved in creating the current Ripple iteration are not using it on the open market.

Ripple staff has to show some success based on real world applications, maybe than it will start to rise.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST ICO for 2018 on: July 04, 2018, 12:37:38 PM
Until there is a common frame to evaluate the projects it will be damn hard to determine which of them are worth the hassle. Still nothing has changed and there are very few interesting ones. Until now, ETH seems to be number one. You don't have to perform any sophisticated check to see that ETH is the leader when it comes to value added to the blockchain tech.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MYCRYPTOBANK.IO - CRYPTOBANK FOR CRYPTOCOMMUNITY (preICO 16/07/2018) on: July 04, 2018, 12:16:14 PM
We have to come up with another name for Crypto Bank. Its confusing as your project is not a bank and it doesn't have anything in common with it. It will be much easier to present a project when you don't have to point out that you are doing a bank which is not a bank.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [POT]PotCoin - Banking for the Legal Cannabis Industry ✦ ✦ ✦Grow With Us ✦ ✦ ✦ on: July 04, 2018, 11:41:24 AM
Congrats to POT you guys may have sponsored the beginning of true peace on the korean peninsula in Dennis Rodman. I'm definitely buying POT now if this leads to everlasting peace then POT has just secured itself in the history books and branding opportunity would shine everybody will want POT as a sponser could be the next DOGE or bigger!

That is some crazy stuff, could you please put some more light on the relationship between POT and peace in the Korean Cape?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People giving up, this is getting dangerous on: July 04, 2018, 11:05:28 AM
Most of the investments that people made were in the late december 2017 when the price was in the highest point. Its not hard to predict that it will fall eventually as the growth in 2017 was purely speculative and not backed by any significant situation.

Right now all you can do when you  want to make big bucks is to invest in the long term. In few years the market will be cleared of all the altcoins that dont bring any value and the cash will be transfered to the ones that hold value. That might happen in two years and it will be the time of market consolidation when the prices will rise.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallets for altcoins on: July 04, 2018, 10:10:06 AM
The wisest thing to do when you have mutliple altcoins is to use multiple dedicated altcoins wallets and store them securly on your hard drive. But its inconvenient and what I do is divide it into two portions.

Bigger sums I store in dedicated wallets and smaller sums i keep online on Cryptopia account to make it avaliable for conversions. I know its not the wisest thing to do but so far everything was ok and the sum is not very big.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: June 25, 2018, 07:20:47 PM
Awesome Miner is a great piece of software. The only thing is would add is your own server with crypto pricing and mining profits. The ones provided by third parties aren't trustworthy. They differ between themselves a lot.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the bull market coming? on: June 25, 2018, 01:18:45 PM
The bull market is already here, but in the long term. The investment in BTC made in 2016 is about +2000% so its stil very bullish. Short term fluctuations are purely speculative and those trends are impossible to predict. If you own about 2000 BTC you can make market pressure and influence the price.

BTC is very sensitive to manipulation and many big players are doing it. If you are not one of them its much better to step aside or they will crush you.  Find your own bay, move across the sidelines and leave the playing field for the big guys.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to choose the right exchange? on: June 22, 2018, 01:46:22 PM
Depending on what currency you are going to trade. Not all exchanges have this or that coin. For example, I used the exchange as -
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home
https://exmo.com/
https://www.binance.com
I had no problems with them And a couple of times there were delays. And in General everything is fine. You can also read the reviews and on this basis to conclude which exchange to work with.

Agreed on Cryptopia, so far the best exchange to date. No problems, fast payments, I can highly recommend it. One of the biggest advantages is the variety of tokens, its almost certain that you will find the one you need there.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: June 22, 2018, 01:31:28 PM
Any pool working ?  POW end ?

Correct. PoW is now over.

However, if you have asics, fpgas, or gpus and would like to still be able to earn Bulwark with them, you can head over to https://www.mining-dutch.nl/ and mine on their pool. It's a profit changing pool and they will continue to allow Bulwark as a payment option to auto-convert to.

So with that neat little loophole/partnership, you can still technically earn Bulwark with your miners.

How's you espierience with this pool? I have tried to mine something there but the commision was high and i got feeling that I could do better anywhere else with my rig.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves vs. Bitcoin on: June 22, 2018, 01:18:18 PM
After doing some reading on the web it turned out that one of the reasons of failed ICO's was developing the token on Waves platform. People do not trust this project. If you have ERC20 which is perfectly fine, why would you go for Waves? It does the same with lest trust from the token buyers, less listing options on the exchanges and much smaller community of supporters. In contradiction to BTC its not a brand, its just another project, BTC is a brand of itself and it attracts attention.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 22, 2018, 12:16:37 PM
RVN is the only coin I am hodling after mining some of it in the very early days of the project when the difficulty was non existent. What do you recommend to do with the RVN i mined should i convert it to assets or keep hodling?
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy the current ICO? on: June 22, 2018, 11:55:15 AM
Its very hard to mention any ICO issued after January 18' that held its value. Its much better to observe the market and hit for ones that are trully bakced by teams with some vision ahead. Right now it might be 0,01% of ICO's that are bakced by serious people. If you invest it to make money, stay away, if you would like to support the project itself, than go ahead.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market will recover? on: June 22, 2018, 10:27:07 AM
To recover the market has to collapse first. As far as I know, the earnings in the period of 2 years on BTC is around 2000%. Completely different story is when you started to invest during price fluctucatuin period around December 17' and Januay 18' and you bought it back then. It was the aggregation of deman  that will not be back soon as there is much wider variety of coins to invest in except BTC.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: June 22, 2018, 10:08:50 AM
Bitcoin is the most volatile crypto asset on the market. Its supposed to be cheap to trade but its wasn't after the price spike. It almost killed small transactions and made people hold BTC without moving and use other crypto assets in trading. Ultimately the price went down because one of the utlities of BTC in the means of very cheap money transfers was cut off. Low price is good for utility of Bitcoin.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again 6k$..... on: June 22, 2018, 09:47:33 AM
The reasons for bitcoin drop might be very simple. Many people and institutions invested their money there and they would like to get back some share of the investment. It seems that quite a few people are impatient or is willing to monetize now, even at this relatively low price compared to recent peaks in December and January.

The real push for the bitcoin price would be mass adoption in the means of a self sustainable ecosystem, where you earn and spend only BTC without the need to exchange it for fiat. Some analysts say it would not happen as BTC is relatively easy to hack with enough hashpower that few Chineese mines do posess.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 570 8GB V RX 580 4GB ??? on: June 22, 2018, 08:38:24 AM
Go with the 570 8 gb version. All the 4gb will soon start to loose its value rapidly and the loss will be bigger than the current advantage of having a slightly more powerful GPU unit on board 580 4gb. Also 570 is a bit more power efficent, so in fact you mine less but also spend less on power.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to invest 8000$ on: June 22, 2018, 08:12:47 AM
When you compare investment across years, wine seems to be a good choice. Dig deep into buying high class french wines, like Bordeux. In ex. Pauillac or Margaux, some of them gain around 8-10% per year depending on the year of harvesting.

There are many online sites with wine prices. A good way to start is to hunt for bargain offers for high class wines in regular shops. They can;t let themselves keep it long as the inventory turnover hast to be high there. But you can keep it and if you will, you might get a hefty 150% investment over a period of few years.

Cheers.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: June 22, 2018, 08:05:48 AM
The price of Ethereum is much less corelated to supply and demand as its supply is indefinite.
There will be some fluctuations but its unlikely that someone will store it as a mean of value.
Its more a utility and thats the way Vitalik sees it, so do't keep it as a long term investments as new ETH's produced all the time will keep its value level.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your favorite websites? on: June 21, 2018, 06:45:19 PM
An interesting alternative to Google is duckduckgo.com, its a search engine that doesn't identify its users. And it doesn't throw out search results as Google does.

Worth to try.
