1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China still in the loop? on: February 15, 2014, 08:16:02 AM
China never banned bitcoin.

What China banned was preventing banks from exchanging bitcoin. People can still fund and withdrawal from exchanges to banks. Chinese Banks wanted to start accepting bitcoin as a currency, similar to if you walked into a US bank with some Canadian dollars and wanted to exchange them - they would let you.

The reason Chinese banks wanted bitcoin was because bitcoin would suit the Chinese economy. Their modes of payment are much different than in other parts of the world.

3  Bitcoin / Electrum / How do I manually set the server in the command line? on: January 12, 2014, 06:28:59 PM
I need to change my server and I am unable to do so through the client(the green light doesn't open the connections window). I think this is because I manually opened a wallet with the -w command. Is there a similar command that can be used to set the server?
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How do I manually set the electrum server I connect to? on: January 12, 2014, 03:07:14 AM
So......Didn't want to create a new thread but, bump! I really need the answer to this question... I've been browsing around nearly 24 hours looking for the solution and the site says I have only been logged in for 12 minutes. Could someone please move this to the appropriate electrum forum so it can get a response?
5  Bitcoin / Electrum / How do I manually set the electrum server I connect to? on: January 11, 2014, 01:56:13 AM
For some reason in my electrum I can connect to the default server but when I click the green light at the bottom it doesn't pop up the connection window. This is probably because I run electrum manually with the -w command to open a specific wallet automatically. Is there a way I can set a specific server to be set on run with a - type command?
