1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICOs which raised Millions of $ in 2018 on: August 23, 2018, 11:50:13 AM
Found a great article about the ICOs of 2018 which already closed their token sales and raised more than the others:

https://medium.com/@mikaelaskerov/which-icos-are-the-most-successful-590eabf15fe2

It includes scandalous Envion which finally scammed but the fact is the fact - they raised more than $100,000,000 during their ICO.

What do you think about the article? And which ICOs 2018 are the most successful in your opinion?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICO rating platform do you use? on: August 23, 2018, 11:46:20 AM
There are a lot of them. I usually use icobench.com, trackico.io, foxico.io, icomarks.com. And the best is of course ICOdrops.com - there are no scams listings and almost all the ICO's listed there with at least medium interest collects their hardcap.

Thanks for the advice! I'll check it out

Do you use ICO Rating Platforms like ICO Bench, for example?

I don't blindly believe at ratings but it really helps when you are making your own research about any of ICOs.

Recently found this platform really useful cause there is all the info about the cryptoworld (not only ICOs): https://forico.io

And which resources do you use?

I use ICO Bench and ForICO and also I used once https://moonrate.io/

Its the list of verified ICO Agencies, we found a great ICO support for our project there Smiley
I also use ICO Bench to be able to search for the best ICO project. Most good ICO projects are listed here and there are always scores for each project. Personally, I always choose potential projects and always check carefully before investing because the number of ICO projects is huge and we have to be able to check everything from the project we are going to.

Can you share how you are checking? Do you contact the ICO project's team before making a decision?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: August 23, 2018, 10:35:28 AM
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs
  • invest in an ICO with a working prototype only

To look for ICOs at the reliable platforms like: https://forico.io

But anyway make your own research before investing

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I go for? on: August 23, 2018, 10:30:04 AM
I want to invest  $500 in crypto market. I have studied a little bit about the market. As I am not experienced in this sector, I am a little bit confused where should I invest?
I know my capital is too little.
Would it be wise to invest in Alt coins?
Or should I go for the ICOs?

Anyway its money and you should make your own research and decision before investing.

I would go for some promising ICO, which i usually look for here: https://forico.io

I've heard about some unusual idea about cryogenics, but can't exactly remember the name of the project, it should be the 1st on this list Smiley

Sounds very interesting! Can you at least give some description about the project?

Honestly, don't remember, maybe you can find it at https://icobench.com or https://forico.io
