s of 7 April 2018, State Bank of Pakistan [SBP] has announced that bitcoin and other virtual currencies/tokens/ coins are banned in Pakistan. ... National Assembly of Pakistan can pass law to declare bitcoin legal or illegal in Pakistan, but there is no such news from National Assembly yet.
So Pakistan now is joining the few countries that will not support Bitcoin existence. I just wonder why poor countries are against Bitcoin to think they should follow the path of those rich countries who fully supported Bitcoin and also they have law makers that can draft regulations to protect this investment to not to be use in illegal activities as their belief. Anyway, the good thing is the supporters of Bitcoin can still appeal to their highest court therefore there still a chance that Bitcoin will be legal in this country. Many people in Pakistan not support bitcoins and other currency but there also many people who support bitcoin to legal it.

Beijing’s assault on bitcoin has surprised observers. Photo: Reuters ECONOMY Why has China declared war on bitcoin and digital currencies? Ban on initial coin offerings and the closure of exchanges kick off Beijing’s offensive
China’s government is starting an all-out war against bitcoin and other digital currencies by banning fundraising through initial coin offerings and shutting down all mainland digital currency exchanges.
Two of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in China, OKCoin and Huobi, issued statements on Friday night saying they would shutdown all trading between bitcoin and the yuan by October 31. A day earlier, BTC China, a Shanghai-based cryptocurrency exchange, said it would stop trading as of September 30.
The cease of operations of the three biggest cryptocurrency exchanges, along with at least 20 other smaller exchanges in China, shows a centralised effort from Beijing to curb or even eradicate cryptocurrencies on the mainland. The government’s decision pushed bitcoin prices below US$3,000 briefly before they rebounded over 20 per cent.

Big Banks want to destroy Bitcoin before it destroys them.
Bitcoin, the “people’s currency,” has the potential to become a new currency, free of the control of big governments and big banks.
That’s why they both want to limit this potential. Each one in their own way. Big governments by stepping up regulations of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and by shutting down cryptocurrency exchanges, as the Chinese government has announced recently, crushing cryptocurrencies.

The majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal, its status as money (or a commodity) varies, with differing regulatory implications. While some countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade, others have banned or restricted it. Likewise, various government agencies, departments, and courts have classified bitcoins differently. While this article provides the legal status of bitcoin, regulations and bans that apply to this cryptocurrency likely extend to similar systems as well.
Legal status of bitcoin "Cermissive" (it's legal to use bitcoin) "Contentious" (some restrictions on legal usage of bitcoin) "Contentious" (interpretation of old laws, but bitcoin isn't prohibited directly) "Hostile" (full or partial prohibition)

First of all in my country bitcoin is still illegal so I don't pay Tex on my profit on bitcoin. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Last month the IRS issued a serious warning through a press release to anyone that does not pay taxes on their cryptocurrency profits. The statement says that “taxpayers could be subject to criminal prosecution…Anyone convicted of tax evasion is subject to a prison term of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000.” Unfortunately, few people understand how to account for cryptocurrency gains on their tax returns.

No reason or purpose. Any transaction has to match an address perfectly so the chance of guessing one is damned near impossible. They represent a digital signature, that is why they are random and none of them are the same ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)
