1  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: About freebitcoinwin on: February 20, 2014, 11:51:49 PM
Freebitco.in is legit. It paid me a dozen times.
About 'wasting time' ... what I try to do, with faucet-sites that have a referral program, is to make use of just that!
Try to make referrals! I got just two (yet) with freebitco.in, but ... they are such enthousiastic clickers that even if I wouldn't click at all, I still would be paid out about every week. So, just as a 'tip'.. I can recommend trying to gain referrals. Wink

Now ... freebitcoinwin.
I tried the site out. At first, I was under the impression that it was some kind of sistersite of freebitco.in.
And then, a day later, the warning for that site was placed.
Now, about that site freebitcoinwin .. (in random order):
- there's no logout button,
- the refer page shows errors,
- it's not possible to see your personal stats,
- on the stats page it says that the 'last 10 payments send' were:
2014-02-12 19:31:03   MULTI   0.000000000 BTC

Now that is 0.0 BTC? 9 days ago? For a site that says to pay weekly?
That alone .. I'm sorry, but ... how much more do you need to get convinced it's a scam then?  Sad

Why don't sell your sig?

Know what? You're right! And, I can do more than that. I could not only sell my sig, but also offer to promote on my blog&promotion page. It has about 3000 hits a week, since I started it. And I post about 20 postings a month on a Dutch forum I'm a member of. I could offer to sell my sig there as well, and make that part of the 'package-deal' or so.

But, if I would sell it ... are there other things to keep in mind then? Like the time of the agreement. For example; I sell my signature for a period of X months/weeks with the right not to prolong the agreement to me as well as the buyer?
What are your experiences? (or those from others??)
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 20, 2014, 08:57:53 PM
Have you found anything yet??

No.

I did came across som sig-deals that seem trustworthy (but I don't have the required amount of posts to apply yet), and another topic in the BTC for services section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=473197.0) seems interesting. I'd like to write articles. About all sorts of subjects. But that one is really BTC-related and I'm afraid I don't know enough (yet) about BTC to apply.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 20, 2014, 07:34:09 PM
The best way to earn is to sell your skills (programming, translation, etc.), so you can see the service board from time to time, to see if someone need a Dutch language class or translation. Smiley
[...]

I can see what you're aiming at (I think), but those were just examples of what I thought I could do. Everyone is free to make the list of examples longer, and if so ... please do!

Not everyone has skills that can be used online. For example; if ones workexperience is in the field of .. ADR (alternative dispute resolvement). How would you think that could be made into a BTC-service? No matter how good a mediator one would be, it's not much use if the client is in Mexico, Iran or the United States, and the mediator would be situated in the Netherlands.
And I guess it's the same for if someone studied .. eh .. labor law, or would be an dentist.

And that is a bit what my problem is. I do have skills, but not the kind of skills that is asked for in the BTC for goods/services section of this forum (or any other I came across till so far).

But ... I can write & I can learn.

So, there must be 'something' I could do. Now, or in time. I looked at the services page. I saw that there quite a few jobs for writing articles about BTC. I would like that, but at this moment I don't think I know enough about BTC (yet) to do so. And it's my opinion that first I should improve my use of the english language a bit more.

So, for now I'll just keep on learning and reading about BTC, and try to make some short articles on a personal blog I made to help me with that. Hopefully, in time, I can apply succesfully to one of the BTC related jobs.
Nonetheless, the BTC for good/services section of this forum gave me a lot of new ideas. So, no ... I don't think I'll be bored in the next coming months! Cheesy

6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-09] Video - Voices of the Next Generation with Gavin Andresen on BTC on: February 20, 2014, 07:03:06 PM
Don't know what is wrong, but when I try to play the video, it stops at 2m36.
Does someone else here have (or had) the same problem?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 17, 2014, 10:21:48 PM
Just choose a sig deal from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0

You can also try sell stuff on the marketplace or on sites like cryptothrift.

Thank you for the tip! I read the topic. But .. If I'm correct, I don't have the required amount of posts to apply to one of them (yet).
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 17, 2014, 10:17:09 PM
offer your services on the services section and use escrow if you think the other person could scam you..

for the signature, you get paid later and just check replies to the post to see if the OP is paying and legit Wink

Well.. Instead of 'if you think the other person could scam you..', let's put it another way..
How do you know if someone is trustworthy? Do you, yourself, always use escrow? Or maybe just sometimes? And if not, what are your criteria to decise so?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 17, 2014, 10:13:37 PM
Hello to [...] in advance.

Offer your services over on the Marketplace and see if anyone is interested. Use an escrow for the payment.

Thank you for the tip! Just one question..
Escrow? Do you have a link to a topic on the forum, or any other source, that explains me what escrow is? I'd like to read more about escrow.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Thinking of selling my services for BTC. on: February 17, 2014, 03:53:24 PM
Hello to you all!

I read, on this forum, topics in which BTC is offered for your signature.
This got me to the idea of 'selling myself'. Either my signature, or some job(s), or ...

Before I do so, I would like to have tips/suggestions.
Are there things to watch out for? For example: getting paid fully/partly in front?
What are the experiences of other users here? And so on...

What I can offer is:
- renting my signature,
- translating (I'm a native Dutch speaker),
- create helpfiles or write other documents.

Other things I can maybe do something with are my hobby's, study and work-experience, but I don't see quite yet how I can turn them into BTC or in $.

So, before I start to sell my services, please do post your ideas, experience(s) and/or suggestions. You'd be very helpfull to me.
Thank you in advance.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning Bitcoin ? on: February 17, 2014, 02:55:25 PM
Maybe it's an idea to make a blog/website where you promote your favourite programs? It can help you getting some referrals, which may increase your earnings a bit.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you kwon any PTP site which pays in btc on: February 14, 2014, 08:53:31 PM
I know of a PPC site. 4bc.co
They pay 0.00000157 BTC for each click you deliver.
Here's my link to their site http://aff.4bc.co/1765-3-3-6.html

For the rest I know only PTP programs where you earn in USD and later can convert that to BTC, either via their program or via payment processor. But they aren't that many.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is a victim not just the Gox customers on: February 09, 2014, 01:04:35 AM
.. to prevent money laundering. ..

Just one question? How could someone launder digital money? I can not think of any way.
If not possible, there is no need for regulation to prevent it, right?
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoins ever replace conventional money? on: February 09, 2014, 12:55:06 AM
Yes, because money is nothing more than a way to trade. Lots of other ways exist. Now, and in the past. Digital currencies are, in that way, just a new way to trade. Change goes slowly often. Maybe not now, but in 2-3 centuries yes.

But, in my opinion, just like trading goods (your car for my motorbike) of friends doing something for each other (you fix my car, I paint your house), I believe that people will always have different kinds of way to trade with one another. Digital currencies is a another and new way to do so.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is a victim not just the Gox customers on: February 09, 2014, 12:37:05 AM
.. [...] ..

Law enforcement? Military? Public education? Health care? Public goods? etc.

Who needs them? .. [...] ..

That's a bit of a philosophic question, but..

But isn't that a bit of a misconception?
To think that without law enforcement or Military people would not defend theirselves?  That without Public education children wouldn't be educated anymore? That without Health Care people could not get treatment for diseases? Without public goods there wouldn't been build any roads or bridges? Or, without money people would not trade any more?

All the things you name are (or should be) to the benefit of people, and controlled by people. But, well ... that is Utopia. It seems. ..  Huh
16  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: QoinPro.com - Sign-up and get Free BTC, LTC, FTC every 24 hours automatically on: February 09, 2014, 12:16:11 AM
I can not see the one who referred me in my account. Maybe that is a future that can be added? Just an idea, nothing more ..

And someone broke the chain it seems. I don't see the ones that posted below me as my referrals. Or it is something in the program that is not working right (yet)??

Will be interesting to see where Mt Gox goes... if it becomes a total scam then it will be really bad for the credibility of the crypto coins. .. [...] ..

Now, it seems others here know much more about the subject than I do. I'm just a Newbie for that matter, but .. This topic got my attention, and your posting made me wonder about the next.

Now, I don't know that much about the topic (yet), but - and I can only speak of my own experience - in my opinion it already does.

I signed up an account at Mt. Gox for I wanted to experience the buying of some BTC. And shortly after that I read all kinds of disturbing news about Mt. Gox and that people are starting to wandering if it is all a scam. Now, after that I have put my original plans on a hold. I decided to first get more information about the subject, and then - in time, some months or so maybe - buy some BTC and trade them/buy products with it.
So, I guess I am one of those newcomers, that - because of this news - hesitate now. And I can only guess it keeps much more people away. I can imagine that this is not a good development for companies that wholy or partly rely on doing their business with BTC.

Could it be that that is exactly what banks/governments are trying to do with their regulation-efforts?? Or is that a stupid question?
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox AML/KYC Process Explained on: February 08, 2014, 09:59:16 PM
Have you already acquired BTC and are interested in trading to profit from price fluctuations, or do you want to buy your first bitcoins?

If it's the former then you could try BTC-E or bitfinex, as they don't require you to submit your dox, stool samples, etc. if you're not planning on withdrawing or depositing fiat currencies.

If it's the latter then most exchanges will ask for the dox, but you can avoid this hassle if you decide to buy through localbitcoins.

Thank you malevolent for your posting.
In answer to it:

I did earn some free BTC already. I don't think it's enough to trade with (yet), but I AM interested in the subject. I guess the wisest thing to do, untill that time, is to read more about it and gain more information on how trading with it works. Maybe it's the thing for me, in future, too? From what I've read till so far is that some earned a decent amount with it. But, I've also read about people that lost a decent amount.
And so your answer leeds to the following question: 'If one (a newbie like me) wants to have more information about it, what sources (articles, website, books, documentaries if there are any, etc...) would you recommend?'

And about the 'latter' .. thank you for this tip. I will get into 'localbitcoins' as well, and try to learn more first.

So, I guess you can read from my posting, I am really still a newbie on all of this stuff, but willing to learn. Thank you for making a little bit wiser. If you have more tips or suggestions ... plz do so!

Back to the subject of Mt. Gox ....
Quite disturbing news I've read. Mt. Gox suspended withdrawals. I've read something about technical issues and hope they overcome it in short periode of time. BTC rate plunged into the deep with -20% and more, and japanese are selling like hell!! Those are the stories on the internet I've read. All the more reason, if one is a newbie like me, to first gain more information on trading with BTC, before doing so.

Me and few friends I referred get their payment from freebitco.in within few hours-days.
They pay every Monday.

Don't know about the rest.
