Personally not a day trader, but check out High Altitude Investing on YouTube.  Here are some of his "beginner" videos:

Thanks a bunch.  I'll give each of those a view, and if I'm impressed, I'll give him a subscribe.  I appreciate it.

I've been away from the forum for awhile... and pretty much crypto too.  I mean I bought some coinage a few years ago (not much), but didn't do much of anything with it the last couple of years. I've just held it.  Which I'm not complaining about since merely keeping what I had means I have about 4 and a half times the USD value I started with.  In any event, I'd really like to start buying/selling/trading seriously.  I'm wondering if anyone can point me to any personal favorite YouTube videos on the topic that are more on the informative side and less on the "Sign up so that I can get a commission please" side.

Thanks in advance.
3  Economy / Services / Re: [PARTNER] - Looking for talented writer with expertise in web hosting on: January 15, 2014, 11:08:33 PM
I'm a man seeking talented writers who are have a technical understanding of web hosting.  Please respond/PM me.

SP

I am someone with the knowledge you possess.  In addition to having a pretty technical understanding of Web hosting, I bring to the table over 4 years experience as a technical writer for large companies such as Boeing, AT&T, Charter, and Anheuser-Busch.

I might be interested in helping you out depending on the need.

Hi Everyone,

Do you think this is a cool concept, but wish there were more people on the site?  Help us out by upvoting our reddit link, or creating your own.
Also, remember you have a referral code that you can see by scrolling to the bottom of the MooCoin site!

Thanks!

Curious about the referrals... I plan to write a couple articles about your site on my crypto blog and maybe make a video for you... hoping those pay off for you AND me (of course!) with lots of sign-ups.  But I also wanted to check on something.  I referred my roommate, but I didn't get credit for a sign-up.  I will make the assumption that it's because it's showing up that the sign-up came from the same IP address -- but I figured I would check to be sure.  And even though my referral was legitimate, if you aren't blocking or guarding against multiple accounts from a single IP, you may want to consider implementing such a system so someone doesn't cheat the system.  I'd hate to send 50+ referrals your way and lose out to some schmuck who "refers" several hundred virtual machines or sandboxed browsers to steal your generous .2BTC offer.

P.S. You're welcome for the user interface tip.

how do we get referrals? I assume there's a link I can send to friends or something...

Ditto.  It's a good question considering an account (url) was created for us as soon as we arrived on the page, and there are no links or mentions of affiliate or referrals that I can see.

-edit - now i see it.  Just a suggestion, you may want to reconsider that white text on mostly white footer idea.

Welcome to Bitcointalk.

Yeah, Bitcoin as a currency/store-of-value/technology is brilliant, and there is lots of work going on to ensure that cutting edge solutions are presented to make it more accessible etc.

It cracks me up when people argue that Bitcoin sucks because it "funds crime, and allows people to buy drugs". They say it with such conviction, as if the cash in their wallet cannot be used to do the same lol.
I never really thought of it as a currency that could be abused.  I just thought "bitcoin" was a nefarious program.  Had I known it was a currency that drug dealers use, I would have looked at it a long time ago.  I've never been swayed by the argument that something is evil because it gets misused.  People are evil... tools are not.

Guns don't kill people.
McDonald's doesn't make anyone fat.
Vehicles don't break speed limits.
Mini skirts don't cause affairs.
And bitcoins won't rip people off nor buy narcotics.

What our little world needs is far more personal accountability and far fewer scapegoats.

Yep, sounds familiar. Learning about how it all works is just about all I did day and night for the first 3 months after I got involved.  It is still early believe it or not.  Even with all of the press coverage lately, most people still don't have any Bitcoin or know what it really is.
I know it's still early, but I sure wish I had been earlier.

I bought a domain tonight, and I am going to be launching a blog before I hit bead tonight where I write (and record videos) chronicling what all I learn (and my successes and failures) over my first 90 days.

Hey guys...

I only started studying bitcoin last night.  I found it fascinating, and although I'm usually in bed by 10 or 11 o'clock, I didn't find the pillow until almost 5 this morning due to researching the wonderful world of crypto currencies.  1 day in and already I'm hooked.

The funny thing is that it took this long to start learning about these currencies considering that I love technology; can't stand most banks or governments; and am totally fascinated by free markets and financial studies.  I guess the only time I had ever really payed much attention to Bitcoin, and the like, before yesterday was glossing over the occasional bad press article on slashdot.  I guess I assumed it was all about scamming people or stealing their financial information via malware.  If only I had done my due diligence over a year ago. *sigh*

Oh well. I'm here now.
