The only exchange this coin has been listed on has issues due to its primary developer facing some real-life difficulties. Any news on listing elsewhere would also be nice to have.

Discord is nice when it doesn't leak memory like a geriatric amnesiac, but lack of updates here tend to look like the project is abandoned, even if it actually isn't.

This is an announcement thread posted by primary developer (I assume) for communication purposes. I would expect it to have updates w.r.t. ongoing development, new features, plans, news, etc.

So can be otc dealers, as you mentioned before. And escrows. Ultimately unless atomic swap is implemented, any exchange, be it a centralized one or an otc, would be a matter of trust.
And unless otc exchange is somehow automated, it is going to be a lot more busywork than just dumping the coins on exchange and creating a couple of orders.

Thing is, to have a coin adopted it has to have some use. Who needs just random bytes laying around? You gotta be able to do something with the coins you have.
Having a coin listed on an exchange is one such use; another would be having an ecosystem/platform/whatever using this coin as a primary currency.

Without seeing the roadmap I have no idea about the latter, so..

Which is not entirely unfair, as I see it.
At any rate, most exchanges want not only fees, but also a good vision, mission statement, roadmap, something useful in the coin ecosystem, you name it.


Of those that deal with small-ish coins, Tradeogre comes to mind. Had solid experience with them this far.

While this works in a pinch, it is a temporary solution at best. What's worse, lack of a proper exchange hurts coin adoption.

I'm in no hurry, so happy to wait until it is listed somewhere else (and then some).

No worries, no harm done, they weren't paid due to an incompatible address so I was able to ask the pool operator for help.

Re: exchanges

If you see the coin listing elsewhere - on miningpoolstats, for example - you have to be aware that they might list the exchanges wrong.

My mistake was that I haven't double-checked names and everything, and was too lazy to create a wallet locally. This led to a night of mining and throwing the results away to an incompatible address.

TLDR: pay attention, this is XAU (SatoriGold), not XAU (Goldneum). It is NOT listed on Nanu as of yet. Do NOT try mine to a goldneum 0xsomething wallet.

Let my mistake be a lesson for others =)

Felt like throwing $30 away and tried this out.

Zero on-demand limits (which is less than fresh account limits, by the way); default spot limits; reserved instances are limited to 20 (as by default), but no instance can be purchased.

When I tried to request a spot instance, got the following error: "failed: This account is currently blocked and not recognized as a valid account. Please contact aws-verification@amazon.com if you have questions."

In other words, useless scam.

Expiration date and event code are different things.
