The dev is the same dev as Topcoin. There appear to be two go-betweens here, @fatecoin and @eugene - neither seem to have any great depth of knowledge, but both are fairly good at answering questions.
My take on fate:
Pros: - Pool resistant - this is a VERY good thing. - Permanent easy to mine status, albeit with lowering rewards - another VERY good thing. - Hard to mine, but NOT impossible - a late-adopter CAN get some, not like Bitcoin - No premine
Cons: - Very little information - No exchanges - No casino (as promised in the OP) and - Related to that, no other take-ups from any commercial service - Updates coming third-hand and via google translate - this is not good enough
I think as a concept, it's a GREAT coin. Accessibility from mining (and CPU mining at that!) no matter how late in the game you come is a brilliant idea. Bitcoin will sorely suffer in the future from the people who come along later and say to themselves "Meh, party's already over, can't get the fucking things.", and that is as it should be. But FATE will never have that issue. It's a really novel way of thinking, and it could be big.
But what is needed is someone to take control of it - PROPER control. Someone who knows how to - get it on an exchange - Get it out in the public "face" - Persuade people to back it commercially - goods for FATE - TALK to us! Let us know what's happening!
This is a Chinese coin. I say that as a GOOD thing. There is an ENORMOUS Chinese community, far bigger than the english speaking community, who are into Crypto. But because of the limitations on Internet access out (from a Chinese point of view) and Internet access in (from everyone else's), it's not easy to keep track of this. If the Chinese community decided to adopt FATE, it would be Titanic - bigger than any altcoin to date. But the dev is not pushing it, and the community here can't.
I count myself an early adopter of FATE, and I still see the potential of it. But I don't mine anymore. Until the dev decides to give this his full attention, the coin is effectively a fringe interest. Not dead, precisely, but close to it.
It's a real pity. It really is.

Yeah saw that. I wouldn't risk anything unless it was reversable at the moment though - paypal would be favorite.
Keep us updated mate.

Did he offer the option of a replacement shipment instead before the refund?
As it is, it sounds like they do not actually have stock, or that something odd is happening.
I really hope you get your BTC or your card mate.

A brief try with google translate shows that it does not do very well with Chinese. It's incredibly hilarious though Domestic currency 's reputation increasingly smelly , which is the status of the domestic currency , they do not live up to expectations due . Whenever a domestic currency it will be accused of dog feces and garbage , our hearts have refused to accept .
I will wait for fate coins proper translation Rit.

Spatula, do you mean a GPU miner? A CPU miner would be....the wallet...
If you have an nVidia card it'd be Cudaminer, if you have Radeon card it'd be cgminer.
If you post more detail we can probably get you going.
Just one thing though....bear in mind that with GPU mining the difficulty of Fatecoin is random, so it could easily end up being 1000 times the difficulty.
Rit.
Well i have my gpus pointed elsewhere at the moment, and now that HVC is gpu i have some CPUs with nothing to do. I figured i would give this coin a go. With most coins for example, i could use minerd on various PCs and point it back to one PC running a wallet for solo mining. I would rather not install a wallet on all my machines. Any clue on how to go about doing this? Ah, that's beyond my knowledge I'm afraid :/ Sorry mate, am sure someone else can help though.

Hello again!
Yesterday, with you help, I start mining in this pool. The last hash rate is 139.8 kH/s.
Now I need to understand the "current balances" voices!
I see immature , Unexchanged, ready for payout, total expected.
Could someone explain to me the difference between the values? I have seen that the value of "unexchanged" is greater than "immature" and "ready for payout": what does it mean?
I realized that the expected total is the sum of the three previous values!
Thanks in advance for your support!
Happy mining!
Mik
Hi Mik, Balances work as follows: Immature is blocks found by the pool which have not yet confirmed - they need a little time to confirm before Terk can move them to unexchanged. Unexchanged means that the pool has mined some coins (we don't know what type) and that Terk is listing them on an exchange for trade to Bitcoin. When they have sold, they move to Ready for Payout. Ready for Payout then is all of the successfully mined coins which were exchanged to Bitcoin, and can now be paid out to the user. Expected is the total of all 3 when everything above is done. Realistically, there will always be some running total in Immature and Unexchanged, because the pool mines constantly. When your Ready for Payout balance reaches 0.01 BTC, you will be paid to your Bitcoin address automatically. This happens once per day. If you don't get to this threshold by Sunday, you will be paid any balance greater than 0.001 BTC on that day. Hope that helped Rit.

WELL the CEO had enough time to post a picture of the prototype mining rig frame. But that should be the LAST thing on his to do list. As other posters said, he should be posting pictures of him with the graphics cards, getting the store website going, marketing the coin and his business, getting on a real exchange, etc. So yeah, he needs to update here more often, and with what he is really doing, not just a frame. However I think his team is doing a good job and will wait till Sunday to see the store front before making any decisions on scam or not. But HONESTLY, is Jaymes too busy that he can't post more often here, twitter, facebook? Or is he just busy at his day job + trying to start a new business? Or is he just a super shy recluse? Well he made a video of himself drawing the winner of the IPO raffle and put it on YouTube, so obviously he can post more or at least let us know why he doesn't. P.S. If he wanted to scam us, wouldn't it make more sense for him to drive up the price of the coin so he could dump it Wolong style? After all, he has most of the coin. That leads me to believe he isn't trying a pump and dump coin, and should spend some of his IPO $ and coin to get onexchanges and PR.
What I am about to say is grouchy and a bit silly, but this is irritating me... Please stop pressing RETURN at the end of the box. We have a madz internetz teknologee called "Word wrap" these days which does that for you and hurts our eyes less. Sorry, please feel free to move back on track. Rit.
