I have an idea that I want feedback on / ideas on how to make it happen.

IDEA:

The Bitcoin Community comes together to crowd fund about 10 BTC to be used to pay for Skywriters to paint "Buy Bitcoin" in 10 major cities (worldwide) all on the same day.

What day?  Think 2008, the day tears were on traders faces on the cover of the NY Times kind of day.

How?  We rent a plane from companies like;

And pre-pay for "Buy Bitcoin" - the sky is our blackboard!!

When the time is right we have these all go up on the same day (within a 48 hour period - due to time zones).

The Goal:  to generate awareness, to create headlines, to inspire. 

Cost:

Approx 0.1 BTC per plane.

10 cities, 10 Bitcoin.

500 backers donate 0.2 BTC each and we can make this happen.  Can increase or decrease number depending on how we go.

I am seeking volunteers in major cities to get a quote for a plan in your city.  I will take care of Sydney Australia.

Possible hurdles:  Some countries will outright not allow this, others will have strict guidliness on wording etc etc. So it will be a case of checking what locations are a possible.

Do you think this idea has merit?  Would you like to volunteer to get a quote for your city?

Shame as it was a good "idea".  Not to worry though, you can sell a sky miner for parts as I did and maybe if you got in early enough, break even in the next bull run.

I sold my SKY on the day of homeinvasiongate and I am glad I did.

Folks reckon the funds should not send if address incorrect.  I also note the Kernel ID: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 is all zeros so this may mean the exchange still has them, and they are stuck somewhere.  I will advise if I get them back.

SO I have sent some funds from Hotbit to my desktop wallet (Windows 10) - something I have done before and I know that I must use only a current address.

Long story short, I sent to an expired address.

The question is are the funds permanetly lost?  OR are they safu?

SKY is dead and will not recover from homeinvasiongate.  There very likely was no home invasion, there are no culprits in prison.   Perhaps we endured an elaborate internally orchestrated hoax that went wrong?

It does not matter really.  All one has to do is listen to Synth in the above linked interview (the whole interview) and it becomes very clear.  SKY has no future.

8000 - 80000 - 800000 dedicated SKY node operators cannot save a coin that was killed by its "CEO".

There is no undoing what what said and the manner it was said.

Ask yourself, could Apple or Google survive if their fearless leader/s spoke half the vitriolic rubbish that the man that calls himself Synth has dribbled and giggled over the last six months?  Or if SUDO "joked" as he banned members of his own community?

And people think SKY will survive?

IF it gets off the ground, every word that man ever said will go under the microscope and it will be the end for SKY.

If anyone looks at this rationally they come to the conclusion that SKY is already dead.

Sadly many do not get Turtlecoin as they look straight to the "market" after a glance at the website where they say to themselves, there is nothing new here, the website is average etc. etc. - some get Turtlecoin as they understand the power of community. 

I believe the reason most are not selling their mined TRTL is because they believe in the coin (the question is why?) and see future growth/value.   Some mined for "fun", weird in my opinion, yet most are mining as they see the intangible value of Turtlecoin's community as a driving force towards real world adoption.

As you mention it is the "friendliest/most hilarious" Discord.  THIS is why it will have a far greater chance of succeeding than most.  Its advantage is COMMUNITY and active DEVS that actually engage with their community directly, and daily.  Something that most in this space do not understand is the most valuable "asset" to any decent crypto, for now.   Most look at the tech and salivate over potentially explosive growth when their coin becomes THE coin that wins whatever race they feel they understand. 

Few read whitepapers, few actually understand the applications of any crypto in the long term.  I do not claim to have a crystal ball.  I did however understand the potential of the internet far earlier than most. 

This is the thing, the new internet is VERY new (to the mainstream, as most here understand) and real world adoption and application is almost on existent, let alone understood.  It is misguided to count a coins performance in a bear market as good or bad.   TRTL is holding its value quite well in this bear market, but that is of no real relevance in the long term.  Likewise a solid coin that has been decimated in the current market is of little relevance either.  I look at 10 years from now.  This is the thinking that most will learn to adopt as we close out 2018 (I hope).  Those that wanted Lambos have long since sold and now hate crypto, or they check twitter for the next exciting sentence from the "leader or CEO" and hope that a pump will moon their coin like it did at the end of last year.  Those that see a long term investment are still here and are very optimistic.

Will TRTL make it, I can't know that in any way shape or form, however does it have a competitive advantage, yes it does, in the form of Community.  Community is highly undervalued in this space.  I am not talking about numbers, or TRON disciples etc., I am talking about active participants, things like integrity, compassion, fairness, these attributes create value, regardless of a coins tech.  Like I said before, for now, this is the "asset" that people should be looking for.

Take SKY for example, the so called foundation of the new internet.  Sure it has some flash hardware and a dedicated group of techy minded futurists, yet the community and leader are toxic, hence it will very likely not survive.  Why?  It failed/fails at the only thing that at this stage has actual value.  My two cents.

Do your homework mate, Obelisk has been canned, as it was to quote Synth "Junk".  I have spent many hundreds of hours looking at SKY - I do not come to my conclusion that it will fail on a guess.

I was a SKY supporter since May 2017, I approached MGT to become a SKY ambassador.  I got a sky miner and was getting multitudes of folks in Sydney interested and 3 were about to buy in... and then it all came undone.

The above video pretty much symbolises why SKY imploded.

Yeah sure, I have seen every sky interview ever made and most several times.  The original coin interviews were for me at the time the most inspiring content in this space.  The holes started to emerge in September last year and the bottom fell out the day after the so called home invasion.

And soon, your Sky miner will be a pretty box for you to show your friends.  I am turning mine into a coffee table base.

A highly functional base that is better than Bitcoin and Ethereum and unlike IOTA has a real world use case.  He is nuts folks, get out now.

Wow - clearly Binance have not done their homework.  This is one of the problems with the cryptocurrency space, it moves so fast, with so many new actors it seems that even respected organisations either do not have the time to investigate a company and it's leadership properly, or are simply letting the $$ speak, regardless of integrity of the company and it's leadership.   This will all catchup to these exchanges one day and you can count on repercussions.  So who will pay for the time and effort it takes to properly vet these multi million dollar corporations?   Clearly exchanges are unwilling or unable to do this themselves.  So who will?  Central, governing authorities will.  It is a shame that this space as immature (and I am not referring to its age) and so greedy that we in fact need regulation to the extent that every company will be forced to pay for third party audits at every level of their operations.

All due to the bad eggs.  And SKY under the leadership of the man that calls himself SYNTH is now a bad egg.  Its lack of transparency, and shady operations, together with the utter contempt it shows its own investors has created a climate of resentment and anger.  What happens when this occurs?  BIG brother sees an opportunity to enter with it's guiding hand of regulation, and we all pay for it.   

Brandon Smietana belongs in Prison.  He is a nut job.  Giggling like a child while he dribbles "earth shattering" commentary on a dump he engineered.

He clearly orchestrated the dump by spreading FUD on his own project.  

This is undeniable.

Also he has provided ZERO tangible evidence that he was robed and held under duress.  Wife bashed by his own "team"?
