Hi Guys, what is your sentiments on ETC?
I am looking at this coin and  Actually I like it a lot. However I still do not understand why the value of this coin is so low.
Even though it seems that large institutions acquire this coin heavily. Greyscale has more ETC than ETH and ETC stands as a second biggest portfolio after Bitcoin. In addition,  I also noticed (at least couple of times), when ETC starts to rally it is being shortened. Is it in my head?

Thank you , so schedule d of 1040 form and 8949 form, correct? Additional question . Binance, it shows price of the crypto in percentage of exchanged crypto( in trading history page)  . Example: eos is 0.0003 of eth ( I just gave a random number) . Is the any way to display actual value in usd?

Hi guys , So....... question for you . Hypothetical question . If you buy 1 eth then immediately exchange it to another crypto ( let’s say within 30 min) therefore basically no gains or loss => hence no capital gain. Do you still need to report on your tax return ? I know exchange crypto to crypto considered to be taxable even , but if this event did not produce any gains or loses are we still obligated to report it? If yes it will be schedule D of 1040 form. Any other forms? Do we need to provide files from exchange or it is not necessary ?

 So.... I want to exchange 1 eth to eos coins on binance . Did binance already swap these coins.? It will be my first eos exchange , therefore I did not register So I cannot use Infinito wallet ( for some reason I cannot get free code . Any suggestions?

What is your opinion about this Coin? is there any potential?

Now it is the end of September ETC went down to around 10$ per coin. Best time to buy? Or it will go down more?

I am acquiring LTC little by little. and I Do hope it will rise above 200$ in next  2-3 years (Conservative outlook)

My 5 cents yes, it is growing but not enough. It is stuck right above 7K, now. I think it will be the same scenario as of last 2 months. BTC grew to 8K then plummeted to 5700-5900.  Having said that, I do think BTC will grow over time. I personally prefer slow steady rise (but it is not possible in crypto). I do not think it will reach 10K by the end of the year, But I belive it can def. reach 15K by the end of 2019.

i think anybody can identify female by the style of writing (wording , sentence structure, ect). I , not a trader, not a bounty hunter or a miner ( never say never, right?), just interested "bystander"
Unfortunately, In my "real" world NOBODY is interested in crypto and/or have negative reaction to it . I ,on another hand, see a potential.  So this forum is my as you call it  "guilty pleasure"

In my understanding, the original poster commented only on a pattern he/she observed with minor price margin fluctuation. It is not related to overall decline of the market.  I noticed this pattern as well. Simple example: The price of ETH was holding between 273-270$ all day but RIGHT after 5pm EST it dropped to 262$ for about 10-15 min, then around 520pm everything went to "normal" - 272$. But Honestly i do not understand  why. it is happening.
BTC , LiteCoin do not follow this pattern. I noticed it only with ETH, ECT, which actually make sense why these 2 pairs act differently in regards of pricing pump/dump

Indeed! there are no  "products" there per ser. and it somewhat concerns me.

I know it is somewhat controversial coin. Some love it some hate it. I personally like an IDEA.  But as we all know "all good intention lead to hell"
Having said that, I am still thinking to invest small amount in eos coins.
Therefore, I am curious if EOS coin will depreciate further . At the present time it is trading around 4.5$ . However with a market going down. i THINk it will reach lower bottom of   1.5-2$ pc (per coin). what do you think?


Declaimer: I am new to crypto and I am still on a learning curve (but i have  general understating of blockchain technology, "general" is a key word ). What I lack is understanding of how crypto market works . To apply usual stock market patterns is not working here (or at least they are NOT THAT reliable in my opinion )it is unbelievable how fast and volatile it is. (seriously "in a blink of an eye" would be a right expression here).

Thank you. It does make sense,  exchange crypto to crypto . I assume you already experienced this type of scenario (exchange) , so will be like barter , correct? And  The capital gain taxes calculated on in and out usd amount, based on tax bracket and term of holding .

Well eth is falling again. Last time I checked it was 262. Anyways, even though I already bought 2 eth and It lost some value already I am
still waiting for lower price to get couple more

It is on both exchanges (coinbase and coinbase pro) currently price is around 12.5$

Hi all
ETC was added to coinbase recently as you all probably  know. What do you think about future of this coin? It definitely will grow overtime (being the cheapest coin on Coinbase, so psychologically new influx of people will tend to opt to buy it , IMHO) . Having said that, will it be PUMP and Dump future or this coin worth to hold long term? Or you are staying away from this coin?
