There's a node you should add I believe

Yes - I think so but dont know which one...

Try all nodes from the first post?

plz document for all what you did to make it compile?

I did not save exact command log, but from what i remember:

DEBIAN

Quote
Linux srv2 2.6.32-042stab084.14 #1 SMP Mon Dec 16 18:16:56 MSK 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libdb5.1++-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev libminiupnpc-dev
git clone https://github.com/CoinFox/FoxCoin
cd FoxCoin
chmod +x share/genbuild.sh
cd src/
mkdir obj

Now, before compiling i edited file bitcoinrpc.cpp and commented out most of the code around lines 2902 and 2920. Basically what i did there is remove code that tries to create IPV4 AND IPV6 sockets. My virtual server had no IPV6 and with this code the daemon was just crashing.

Code:
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=0 USE_IPV6=0 USE_QRCODE=0

CENTOS

On CentOs it was quite complicated to install all needed libraries, i got to the point where i could actually compile the deamon, but could not run it because of the IPV6 thing and at this point i don't know if code stripping would have helped.

Source zipped is in downloads section on OP.

Yes, was using it.

Had many issues compiling and running, but finally i did it on debian. Also had to remove some piece of code that tries to run foxcoind on both IPV4 and IPV6.

Hi,

I am willing to host some node servers, but unfortunately i find source is not ready to be compiled on linux (for example CentOS)?

Any hints and relevant information on this case?

I think 51% can be done quite easy for the U.S. government: they need special squads/agents to take over of 2 or 3 biggest mining pools. This can be done even if pools are operated outside of the U.S., and even can be done remotely. But i guess, to have more confidence they would need to send special people to pool operators (-; Hell, at the moment we cannot be sure that some of the pools are already in control of governments....

But why would you risk to leave a giant sum on this old address?
The seller could still have the private key.

One reason are threads / speculations like these, where people analyze old accounts. So you don't freak out masses with giant moves. In some cases, where you trade to people / party that have mutual trust, you can afford not to reveal any transaction to public.

One thing to consider is that some "old" accounts can be traded without any visible transaction on the internet. Someone might trade whole computer / flashdrive / private key / whatever for cash/bank/whatever. So you not necessarily need to make a real bitcoin transaction.
