hello. i've been around bitcoin a long time, really a newbie still, but i was playing around with AMPL and somehow i can't figure out how i've lost a small amount of AMPL and ETH. i know this is a BTC forum, but it's the only crypto forum i go to regularly, so i'm hoping someone can help me out. https://etherscan.io/address/0x962646b334fb68D6c96e4a8F6f7E9A72D039fCfa#tokentxns- about a week ago, i had 445 AMPL sitting in my metamask wallet: 0x962646b334fb68D6c96e4a8F6f7E9A72D039fCfa
- and then two transactions out to Uniswap V2: AMPL 2: 0xc5be99A02C6857f9Eac67BbCE58DF5572498F40c
- i don't know why this happened. i don't think i initiated the transaction.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x962646b334fb68D6c96e4a8F6f7E9A72D039fCfa- about a week ago, i had around .8 ETH sitting in the same metmask wallet: 0x962646b334fb68D6c96e4a8F6f7E9A72D039fCfa
- then a transaction out to Uniswap V2: Router 2: 0x7a250d5630B4cF539739dF2C5dAcb4c659F2488D
- and another transaction out to: 0x1C8f8c2821791B744a3a0fF713CA7e8798504a42
- again, i don't understand what happened. i don't think i initiated these transactions.
i'm going to assume that i just did something unknowingly, and somehow my crpyto is sitting somewhere that i can't figure out, not that i was hacked. is anybody familiar with Uniswap and can explain to me what happened and where my crypto is? if the answer is i was hacked, okay, lesson learned, but i would like to know what i did wrong, how to avoid this in the future. edit: at one point, i did join a uniswap pool AMPL+ETH, so that i could join the AMPL geyser...that's what i was playing around with. but after losing 25% in a few days, i moved everything back to my metamask wallet, and was just sitting on it there trying to figure how to convert everything back to ETH and go back to my regular ETH wallet, but now i can't find the cryptos.

On the old phone go to safety and backup, get a password to use and Bluetooth it across to the other phone. Once you restore it on the new phone it'll find the funds and use the new address version.
Oh, I see. The format of addresses changed. OK that makes sense. Thanks.

I have coins that have been sitting on an old Galaxy S5 in Bitcoin Wallet v 6.41. This version does not seem to be upgradeable anymore.
I have loaded Bitcoin Wallet v 7.11 on a newer Galaxy S9, but when I try to send the coins, it tells me that the address is invalid.
I don't keep up with Bitcoin to be honest, so I'm not sure what is going on. I haven't touched these coins for over 3 years.
Advice?

I keep my bitcoins on a cell phone that is almost always turned off. I very infrequently turn the phone on, only to transfer coins to the wallet. the last time I received coins apparently was 8+ months ago. I saw a message from the wallet that said I was 8 months behind. This makes the app extremely slow and laggy, to the point that I cannot send/receive at this point. I've tried waiting for the sync, but the phone (galaxy s3) automatically turns off after 10 minutes, the longest setting that I can choose. The wallet also gives me messages that it is not responding, I usually tell it to wait, but I have no idea how long the sync will take. Until then, I am basically stuck with an unusable wallet. Advice?

Don't kid yourselves though, the odds are hugely against you. What bitcoin has to offer is a parabolic rise IF it plays out that way. My position is to not fuck it up trying to pick up nickels in front of a freight train. Get in, sit down, shut up, and hold on. win.

hi, new to all this as well, have a few questions:
1. when I do a restore, I see a file called key-backup-basexx.xx - unencrypted app-private storage automatic backup on Sep 17. what is this file and how do I delete it?
2. I made an encrypted backup file. I moved it to external SD card. I do not see how to restore from ext SD card, or how to browse anywhere for that matter during restore. how is this done?
3. how do I see my actual private key? I want to also write it down. how do I see this?
