1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 08, 2019, 01:43:19 PM
@Cryptoobiobi, well for some reason which i can't seem to explain publicly, i burst into laugh while reading the content of this post , i figure out that the best way to reward the person who started-up this thread is to give him or she some merit.

Are you the Pastor? just immagine the impact that bitcoin stand to gain if, most of these churches with over 1 million audience in a single service start accepting bitcoin in title, offering ..ecc

We back in 2015, while in Milan as computer Tech, one  senior Pastor incharge of the pentecostal church made enquiry from me about some of this trading opportunities on the web unfortunately, i did not mention bitcoin since, i'm not into btc at that time.

Regard's
Btcseo

Thanks a lot BtcSeo for the merit.

Personally, i stand and protect anything good. Being the church treasurer gives me a good right to control and suggest how to improve the way tithes and offerings are being pad in the church. I earned an award for introducing Btc to the church because even our members abroad pay their tithe to us here through Btc. The church treasury is getting fatter.

the fact am trying to make here is that Btc can be used anywhere, even in the church. so let us all be worthy ambassadors.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 08, 2019, 06:21:19 AM
What we have done or are doing to promote the mass adoption of bitcoin is a pertinent question which needs honest answers. The aim of this right-up is to encourage we bitcoiners to join in the fight for mass adoption, even in our little corner.

Bitcoin like every the traditional currency needs to be widely accepted and used for its value to increase. The economist says that it is the forces of demand and supply (Market forces) that determines the price (Value) of a commodity. When mass adoption is achieved, demand for bitcin will be higher, leading to a price surge. Other than that, Bitcoin is freedom, fast secure and efficient. It is a decentralized currency which you spend whenever and wherever you wish without third party control or regulation, it is the next world currency and should be adopted by all.

For this adoption to be gained effectively, we bitcoiners need to preach bitcoin adoption, practice and live it for the adoption to be swift and as soon as possible. Imagine if 1 million bitcoiners can impart and introduce bitcoin and its potentials to 10 people each, do your maths (1,000,000 * 10= 10m) Now imagine if the 10m people now are able to get extra 10 people each? You see the multiplier effect?
Bitcoin adoption is a task to be achieved by we all. Lets teach our family, friends, colleagues and neighbors of the inherent benefits of bitcoin and how to use it.

Personally, I have used my position as the church treasurer in my church to introduce the use of bitcoin for payment of tithes and offerings. Members who use bitcoins are given my bitcoin wallet to make payments, while others can pay cash.
I run a little computer training institute and all my workers are paid in bitcoins. My students have a 2% fees deduction if they pay in bitcoins.

In my own way, through my efforts, over 40 persons and counting have adopted bitcoin and are actively using them. I hold seminars for them and others as well. Through your efforts too, more people can adopt bitcoin, lets become the droplets of water that makes a big ocean.
Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it

If a faucet scammer manages to create an account here to reply my thread, I'm not surprised if CZ manages to do the same, provided he stumbles across this one.

In this crypto space, almost everything is possible. I have twitted this post on my twitter and facebook pages, tagging Cz. I know certainly he will read this thread one way or another. Whether he fails to consider the suggestion is at his discretion, however, we cannot keep silent with injustice and unfair treatment in a supposedly decentralized system
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: AN OPEN LETTER TO CZ_BINANCE on: April 07, 2019, 06:13:26 AM
Nice write up at list you suggested measures for an all inclusive operation and  usage of the BNB because the maximum limit set for the lottery is really killing and at that only the minority few that own such huge amount of the BNB will be able to take part in the lottery which is very unfair to all.

You are righ bro. The aim of this writeup is to solicit for a fair treatment for all, its somewhat lobe-sided to give priviledge to the whales alone. They keep getting richer while the prawns and Tilapia keep getting poorer. Fair treatment is all we ask for
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: AN OPEN LETTER TO CZ_BINANCE on: April 07, 2019, 05:22:43 AM
there are binance staff on bitcointalk, they just don't post as binance reps.  everyone who is anyone in crypto uses bitcointalk or at least reads it.
Good to know ^^ that.

Lets lend our voices to this matter, the world is watching, people are reading, even Binance reps. Great fires start small. We need a change in the system
Binance's IEO is improving buddy though i think they need more improvement but at the moment they are better that Bittrex's IEO.
Hope Binance's rep will got to read this thread and consider improvements in the future to bring back investor's trust into crypto.

Yes dear, I equally ackowledged the improvement, however, it was not the ultimate solution to the problem. I have made a better, more lasting solution. If this solution is followerd, bro, you will certainly feel the change. Other exchanges as well will adopt this change and its just a win win for all

I think you should post this on Binance twitter account or Telegram group if you really want that your sentiment be heard.

I doubt that someone from Binance team visit Bitcointalk.

AN OPEN LETTER TO CZ_BINANCE

Dear Cz,
I wish to appreciate all the efforts you have put in place so far to ensure that Binance exchange has a pride of place among cryptocurrency exchanges.  Binance current ranking in coinmarketcap.com is a proof of your good team, effective marketing strategy, qualitative services, security and innovation.
Another great step which the Binance exchange havetaken which I applaud is the launching of the Binance Launchpad which helps to raise funds for new startups and list their tokens subsequently. The IEOs conducted such for Bread and Gifto in 2017 were successful, including the recent ones BitTorrent and Fetch Ai, all these were sold out in less than no time and the tokens were listed accordingly.

However, as you may have noticed, most IEOs conducted were sold off in less than 3 minutes with only a microscopic few being opportune to purchase these tokens. Many of your customers who have a lot of Bnb in their wallets were unable to buy and this is bad. The real idea should be for as many wallets as possible to possess these tokens, adopt, store and trade them; thereby raising their volumes. Instead only the whales are able to buy these tokens and control the prices to their advantages.

It is clear that Binance is a great exchange that heeds to the yearnings of its users, and that is why the Binance team has come up with the lottery system and aswell cut down the BNB holding eligibility from100 BNB to 50 BNB. This is good and I intend to see how it goes with Mattic as it will certainly go better than the others. With this system, it is clear that more customers will take part in the IEO purchase and that is better, but to me not the best option.

Considering the current BNB price, 50 BNB is worth approximately $1,000. Therefore with 50 BNB being the minimum BNB holding required to qualify for the lottery, only the whales can afford these. We all are working towards cryptocurrency adoption by all and sundry; rich or poor; black or white; etc. Therefore, it is better that all BNB holders are given chances to take part in the lottery, but greater chances given to higher BNB holders, by this, majority of interested BNB holders can take part in the IEO purchases.

I have a better option if you don’t mind. I suggest that all BNB holders are given the opportunity to make an IEO purchase proportional to a certain percentage of their BNB holdings. Interested BNB holders will be asked to fill a form indicating the number of BNB such intends to use for the IEO purchase. This should not be more than maybe 40% of their BNB holdings. Upon indication of interest, such BNB holders may be required to transfer the BNB to Binance’s wallet before the IEO and the tokens are reserved for them. Unclaimed tokens can now be sold to the public, any BNB holder who wants more at this level can partake in the unclaimed tokens sales. By this all, interested BNB holders will be able to own the tokens without hassles. This is quite efficient.

I believe that the Binance team will look into my position on this matter and come up with a great IEO sales and distribution method where all BNB holders will take part without hassles.
You can contact me for more details.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Impacts of IEOs on the crypto-ecosystem on: April 04, 2019, 10:12:16 AM
I want to believe that all projects listed for IEO are completely vetted by the exchanges before approval is granted and even though these exchanges have a clause saying that "they are not part of the development of these projects" but its important to note that, they have in a way linked themselves to these project by accepting to partner with them in terms of the IEO.

A lot has been lost to fraudulent ICOs, since only vetted and seemingly good projects will be featured on IEOs, IEO is fit for the modern clime. However, exchanges need to work on the demerits and focus on ensuring that a vast majority of prospective investors take part in the IEO.All IEOs need is regulations and I believe exchanges like binance and Huobi are making new rules, others will follow soon.
Moreover since IEO is more sure than ICO and IEOs are listed automatically, many investors prefare them to ICO. Many ICOs are still struggling for listing even after several months of completing  ICO while others don't list at all.
Again with the ban of ICOs in China, Chinese investors and others can partake in IEO since its legal and done in exchanges

You can visit my thread on all you need to know about IEOs for more info https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5128008.0
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IEOs on: April 04, 2019, 08:40:32 AM
Initiail Coin Offerings (ICOs) has been all the rage in the recent years. In any case, it is gradually losing its appeal, on account of how the new businesses or startups raise their funds
ICOs are not new. The first ICO occurred in 2013 by Mastercoin. It picked up fame amid the cryptocurrency blast in 2017 when new businesses or startups endeavoring to raise funds did their very own ICO. A portion of the ICOs are moment hits though others battle to raise adequate financing sum. One of the greatest ICOs incorporates the EOS ICO which brought $4 billion up in 1 year.

WHAT IS AN INITIAL EXCHANGE OFFERING?
Initial Exchange Offerings(IEO) is a stage up from ICO. The principle contrast is the technique for dispersion. IEO utilizes exchange(s) as a feature of their token circulation show. The primary procedure including generating the tokens and after that dispersing them to exchanges. At that point, contract is created between the developers and the IEO which is practically like the contract that is created in an ICO.
The contract guarantees that the appropriation is done in a controlled way. For models, developers can set a breaking point on how much tokens an individual can get or the underlying cost of the token.
IEO offers greater adaptability as it lets the supporter to be in more command over his spending. In ICO, the donor needs to send Ether to a smart contract though, in IEO, a benefactor needs to make a transaction in an exchange and do the buying there. This gives better control for the benefactor and guarantees more trust in the entire procedure.
The utilization of IEO implies that nations like China are additionally empowering supporters of partake in fundraising process. China's exchange, CoinBene is doing its first IEO Temco. Temco is a coordinations and wallet network venture.

Another venture that is holding their IEO is NuMoney Exchange which is raising assets to improve liquidity on their exchange. Binance exchange has successfully run three IEOs, followed Huobi, Bittrex, Kucoin and others

WHAT ARE THE MERITS OF IEO?
There are numerous points of interest of IEO. Right off the bat, just the great tokens are circulated through an exchange as it legitimately or by implication identifies with the notoriety of the exchange. This prompts a superior token posting.
Exchanges additionally gains from the entire setup as it constructs a trustable connection between the exchange and the developers. Likewise, IEO is anything but difficult to actualize thinking about that the huge distinction is the technique for circulation. IEO is additionally progressively steady and secure contrasted with ICO which are available to extortion and tricks.
To complete an effective IEO, the exchange needs to do the correct things. They likewise gain preference as access to the elite market, exchange control, etc. Exchanges likewise offer better liquidity contrasted with customary ICOs where the tokens are traded in exchanges after a specific timeframe. Exchanges additionally offer better client connection on account of the easy to understand interface. This empowers new clients to cooperate with the IEO and add to the venture of their enjoying.

SHOULD A STARTUP DO IEO OVER AN ICO?
With every one of the preferences recorded, we are in the correct position to respond to this inquiry. Anyway, on the off chance that you are a proprietor of a startup or association trying to raise funds, would it be a good idea for you to do IEO or ICO? How about we discover beneath and list the benefits of IEO over ICO.

1.   Fundraisers gain admittance to effectively existing exchange crowd.
2.   With exchanges taking care of the considerable number of activities, there would be no "Gas War." Everyone gets an equivalent opportunity to take an interest.
3.   Exchange posting will get more access to the group of people.
4.   Scams can be turned away totally as tokens must be bought from a trade.

WHAT ARE THE DETRIMENTS OF IEO?
Initial Exchange Offering isn't free from blemishes. It comes with impediments. For instance, the purchasers need to manage the costs identified with the exchange, i.e., exchange charges and other related expenses. Likewise, the business doing the IEO need to store the appropriate measure of posting charges to the exchange to tolerate every one of the costs done by the exchange itself.
Another inconvenience is the way that the advertising cost likewise should be conceived by the token guarantors which increases the general expense radically. The people recommend that the token listing charges to be somewhere around 20 BTC though promoting expense can extend somewhere in the range of $80K to $150K regardless of the prevalence or the nature of the exchange.
Also, the way the IEO is conducted by the exchanges is another demerit. Most at times, bots are used to purchase these tokens like in the case of Kucoin that sold off its first IEO in micro-seconds. Binance, Bittrex, Huobi and others have equally recoded very fast sellouts within 5 minutes. It is an unfortunate thing that only a microscopic few are able to prtake in these IEOs, mostly whales and this is bad

HOW TO TAKE PART IN AN INITIAL EXCHANGE OFFERING?
As an investor, you have to do some things to partake in an Initial Exchange Offering. They are as per the following.

•   Check whether your most loved undertaking is holding an IEO or not. Numerous ventures do both IEO and ICO, and as an investor, it is dependably a sure thing to take an interest through IEO.
•   Learn which exchanges the IEO will occur. Additionally, ensure that you comprehend the KYC necessities of the exchange that you are going to use to take an interest in IEO.
•   Properly set up your exchange account and complete the KYC methodology before the IEO begins.
•   Learn which cryptocurrency or fiat is acknowledged to invest in the IEO. For instance, any venture using the ethereum blockchain will just acknowledge Ether as a way of investment. As well,  some exchanges use their native tokens
•   Always be proactive and be prepared with all the fundamental devices, assets or data to effectively take part in the Initial Exchange Offering.

CONCLUSION
Change is the way to a superior market. This holds for the cryptocurrency showcase where IEO is on the way to supplant ICO. IEO's advantages are too great to be in any way overlooked, and with the many exchanges and developers intrigued by the IEO thought, we are going to see progressively Initial Exchange Offering later on. However, I think exchanges need to fine-tune and streamline howthe saleswill be made to benefit a vast majority of prospective investors. Things being what they are, what's your opinion about Initial Exchange Offering and their effect available?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Behind Crypto When You Are Gone? on: April 04, 2019, 06:56:28 AM
Read examples of people gone and they never gave their family or relatives their keys to their crypto.  How do most of you handle this?  Now if you have everything in your nano ledger s or trezor or even electrum for example, well you give them the 12 or 24 word seed and they have it.  Now i thought of some issues.  What if they dont know how to operate a computer?  Who do they turn to?  Are there bitcoin services where when someone is gone, their family or relatives go to that service and say this is the code or phrase for the crypto and they mention if its stored in a hardware wallet or exchange or electrum etc and have that service get their crypto for them for a price?  Like it will cost $100 or $500 for the service?  Such as they would then transfer the crypto to the family's own wallet or contact the exchange and have them set up the crypto to be sent to their family member's account?

The other issue comes then is taxes.  Most likely that person who has crypto stored most likely did not pay all or most or any of the taxes assuming they were holding for a long time.  Now if they paid all the taxes, well you could transfer the money to the family member but there is only a certain limit they can transfer a year without taxes i believe right?  This is concerning ppl in the US  Now what if that person paid taxes on some of it or none of it.  Well the family can't just take the money into their bank account since that person didn't pay any or entire taxes of it.  So how in the world would that work then?  Because when you file taxes on crypto, it needs to be written down when was the coin bought and sold and at what prices.  The family or relative wouldn't have a damn clue about it.  They also wouldn't know when they got it and say that person was a trader, they wouldn't have access to say the 500 or 1000 plus transactions that person did etc even if most were basically buying bitcoin and selling it for altcoin immediately since most altcoin you can't go from altcoin to usd or usdt etc.

Does anyone have experience or tips on this?  I think leaving crypto behind in a hardware wallet is the easiest right?  But what if some were in an exchange like bittrex or binance?  Do they contact bittrex or binance about it and then send in the paperwork?  Of course they would need that person's binance or bittrex email address and that person most likely had 2FA.  How does that work then?  I assume coinbase probably would be the easiest to work with?  Now let say that person also had their own wallets in their computer like for example bluecoin or greencoin where its not compatible with hardware wallet and they have some of these wallets on their computer.  Now if their family has the seed or phrase for this, they can claim it but if they have no clue how to do this on computer, are there services that allow this?  So imagine someone has crypto in their trezor or ledger and some in computer like bluecoin and greencoin and some in binance and coinbase.  Are there services that would help them recover all these for a fee?  Thus they would help that family email binance of coinbase assuming that family doesn't even know how to use computer?  Such as that person left behind a paper that says

ledger wallet seed

24 word phrase

binance

email
password

coinbase

email
password

bluecoin wallet

account adfsmskdj
password lkfasdjfsdfas

greencoin wallet

accounta sdfdskjjksda;jasdfj
password aflkdskafjdsjfas;jldf

Are there places where they can bring this to in public like an office or something and that company or business help them recover everything for a fee?  I assume it probably would be like a fee for each place its located?

Then they probably have to contact an accountant with all these accounts right?

Well I have a personal practice and would like to recommend this. Usually write down my passwords on paper and equally store on an email created for that purpose. My 2fa codes as well are stored there. I keep the document in a very secured place where my next of kin can only access it upon my demise. In such a situation he will have access to all my funds, even those in exchanges

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is simply too difficult to buy to gain acceptance on: April 02, 2019, 07:51:53 AM
To buy transfer or deal bitcoin, one needs a long alpha-numeric mix of keys called public key or wallet address. Its vey difficult to cram this wallet address and this is for one to copy and paste from where they are saved.
To me Bitcoin is very easy to buy as all you need is exchanges that converts fiat to crypto like Binance, Bittrex, etc and pay with your credit card.
Bitcoin wallet is complex but secured. Its easy to use
In conclusion. it is clear that as long as the industry grows, security challenges must be faced

Big news! It seems that he has identified the bottom and is confident that a recovery is under way. Berkshire now has a bitcoin department which is why the price pumped this past week. Go get some!

This is great news, we need more of such news to boost people's interest in Bitcoin and increase price. However, it is necessary to back up your threads with factual, verifiable evidences
17  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Over Estimating Their Popularity by Requesting KYC? on: April 01, 2019, 07:12:59 AM
I know the Bitcointalk guys have the right to request a Kyc if they so desire. You either abide or not use the platform. However, looking at the requirements of on the form, I think its a kind of "April fools' game" but yet, I played by the rules and filled the form accordingly. Bitcointalk is an already established platform with good reputation, as a matter of fact their popularity is not being over estimated but under estimated. I think that it will take a lot more than KYC to bring btt down. So, play along or keep calm. This post thread is not really necessary
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: March 31, 2019, 12:08:11 PM
Dumping after listing has become a major problem which needs to be solved. Many developers are afraid of listing because of getting dumped. Good projects do not dump easily. Devs should get to work and give regular updates.
Secondly, tokens bought and earned by hunters should be released in batches, this will relatively stabilize the price.
Listing on exchanges with great volumes will equally be of a good help

In the Crypto space, many con artists are looking for opportunities to scam people, bitconnect, mtGox, onecoin, Regal coin,Hextracoin, and all others have come, swindled and gone. That is why we need to thoroughly examine any ICO before we invest. Personally I don't see bch as a replacement for btc
