I am trying to setup a P2pool server and run_p2pool.py is stuck at:
2014-02-26 16:30:21.899994 Testing bitcoind P2P connection to '127.0.0.1:8008'...

fairquarkd is running fine is listening on port 8008.
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:8008            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      1404/fairquarkd

I am using the p2pool source from the first post.
Any ideas?

That is happening because the FairQuark QT software has a built in malware that has now been triggered as of Feb24 that directs up to 75% of your hash rate to that anonymous address.

How to check if you are affected:  In windows click START -> Shutdown.  Look to see if you see a FairQuark logo in the top right of your screen that appears for a split second while shutting down.  If you DO NOT see it then you are ok but must leave your computer/mining rig turned off until March4 which is when the infection period ends.

Good luck!
The hashrate does not come from the FairQuark QT software?! What miner are you talking about? Your post does not make sense.

The website seems down. You can try a very good p2pool http://doge.mystika.ca:22550

The sites looks great but you might as well straight out mine DOGE for the time being.
.00000230 * 5000 DOGE/1000 KH/s = 0.0115BTC/day per MH/s

I'm new here, does reserved mean they're going to edit their post later and put something else?

why don't you disable edit button after a while?
You cannot really do that because posts have to remain modifiable for example the first post of a thread. The post gets modified to reflect new changes and procedures.

My workers are arbitrarily showing offline even though their shares are being accepted and the dashboard is not showing my true hashrate. Anybody having similar problems?

This can happen when you're not hashing fast enough and the pool difficulty is set too high. The pool won't hear from your client for a while and assume it's down.

You can try to join the P2Pool network, [Suspicious link removed] or mine at fairglu.co.vu:9640 (they're all part of the same P2Pool net anyway, so you can set them up as failvors and won't lose any share even if a node goes down), just repeat the "-o address" -u user -p password" portion of the command line for each of the pool nodes you want in the failover.
This is the second night in a row this happened. All 4 of my miners are popping yays!!! on cpu-pool.net/frq and the FRQ balance remains the same for hours. It is as is if for a couple of hours a day my hashing is lost. The site is accepting my shares but the balance stays the same. I wonder where it goes? the P2p pools do not payout nearly as much as a GUI pool and I would rather solo mine than have hours of my hashrate get "lost". Thoughts anyone?
